Hello Ly brate User, Leg pain is a common problem, experienced by people of all ages. Pain can range from a dull ache to severe stabbing sensations. It can occur in one or both legs. Some leg pain may be simply uncomfortable and annoying, whereas severe pain can affect your mobility or make it difficult to put weight on your leg. Other symptoms may include weakness, numbness or a tingling sensation. There are various causes of leg pain. Most commonly, pain is due to a cramp, muscle spasm, muscle fatigue, nutritional deficiencies, dehydration or standing for a long time. Please follow following tip; Another effective home remedy for leg pain is turmeric, which has antioxidant as well as anti-inflammatory properties. The compound curcumin in turmeric inhibits a number of different molecules that play a role in inflammation and pain. Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with enough warm sesame oil to make a paste. Apply it on the affected area and rub gently. Wait 30 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. Do this twice daily as needed. Also, drink a glass of hot turmeric milk once or twice daily. Another option is to take turmeric as a dietary supplement, but only under your doctor’s guidance. Note: If you take blood-thinning medicine, consult your doctor before taking turmeric as a medicine. Pasty stools is usually mucus and sometimes is caused by amoebiasis, bacterial infection or irritation of lower part of large intestine called colon. Avoid too much of spicy, fried and outside food. I have been having problem in sleeping since 7-8 days and whenever I get asleep it didn't last long enough also my eyes get dry after waking up so can you please suggest me what is this syndrome and how can it be corrected as soon as possible?

1. You may be having anxiety or stress. Avoid stress. 2. You need 7-8 hours of sound sleep to remain healthy. 3. Go for regular exercise, Take part in games and sports, 4. Do yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise like pranayama to calm your mind, control your emotion, relieve anxiety and improve concentration. 5. Adhere to a specific sleep time and regular schedule 6. Take light dinner. 7. Avoid taking tea/coffee at bed time. Have a glass of warm milk at bed time. 8. Don’t go to sleep immediately after dinner. Take a small walk after dinner and if possible take hot water bath before sleep. Read a light magazine or interesting book before going to bed 9. Avoid late night. 10. Don’t sleep in day time 11. Don’t take sleeping pill 12. If no relief consult doctor.

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. Hi. I'm sorry to hear about your mother. From what you describe, she seems to be suffering from mental illness, the nature of which can only be clearly ascertained after detailed evaluation. Many people suffering from mental illness are resistant to visiting doctors, and families are often not able to force them to consult a doctor, leading to a delay in commencement of care, and consequent long term damage. I would suggest you to take the assistance of the local police for escorting her to a psychiatrist. Another option is to contact your local hospital's psychiatry department. Many hospitals (especially government run mental health institutions, such as ihbas, in delhi) have mobile mental health units for this very purpose. Take care.

Hye. Thanks for the query. Summer can not only dehydrate you but also draw you off of energy and stamina, making you feel unwell and feeling low. A healthy and balanced diet is essential, especially in the summer. The summer heat deprives our body of all the energy. Excessive perspiration in summer results in dehydration. Rehydration is essential irrespective of the activity levels and thirst pangs. Liquids at very cold temperatures should be avoided. Increased consumption of very cold liquids, results in the constriction of the blood vessels. This in turn reduces the loss of heat which is essential in summers. Holy basil seeds/ tulsi seeds added to water or fruit juices proves an effective cooling drink for the summers. Soft drinks contain added sugar, preservatives and colors. Therefore fresh fruit juices without added sugar are preferred in summers. Fried foods, such as french fries, potato patties, chips, samosa, wada pav should be restricted thereby reducing the thermal effect of fat. A light and healthy meal will make you feel comfortable. Avoid very spicy foods. Whole fresh fruits supply a good amount of water, in addition to minerals and vitamins. A bountiful supply of vegetables and fresh fruits are beneficial. Lemon juice, barley water, butter milk and tender coconut water are the best sources of hydration.

Mr. Lybrate-user, first and foremost is a person with diabetes should achieve excellent control of the blood sugar. Fasting should be around 100 mg and pp 150 to 160 mg. Hba1c% <7. Along with this there has to be a strict diet control. Plus daily exercise of at least 1 hour is a must. Both these help in better control of blood sugar. All green leafy vegetables are good, can be eaten in any quantity. Fruits permitted are papaya, pear, apple, water melon, orange, sweet lime, pomegranate and guava. To be avoided are mango, banana, chikkoo and grapes.

Yes of course. Headaches have many reasons. In your case this is due to eye strain. Also associated reason might be official stress. You should do the following things to avoid headaches - 1. Do not continuously sit in front of the system. Give a break of atleast 2-3 minutes after every 30 min. 2. Wash your eyes with cold water every 2 hours. Drink lots of water. 3. Check your posture while sitting. It should be straight. 4. Use anti glare screen. And anti glare glasses. 5. Consult me on private chat so that I can advise you some homoeopathic treatment for this.
