Two years ago I was diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency (lab test reading was 4) and my TSH reading was 6.5. My doctor advised me thyronorm 25 tablets and vitamin D sachets (calcirol). Since then I am taking thyronorm 25 regularly and vitamin D sachets. With the passage of time my vitD level improved and TSH reading was also improved to 2.5. As on date my vitD level is 70. Now I want to know that is taking thyronorm tablets necessary forever or can I get rid of it in any way?

Please It is easy to stop both calcirol and thyronorm Wake up early go for morning walk in greenery daily Do yogasanas and pranayam daily Take dates beet root jaggery green leafy vegetables manuka, regularly Use vit D fortified oils for cooking Take milk and dairy products fortified with vit d regularly Avoid oily spicy and fast food, non veg food, maida containing items like biscuits toast bread khari etc Take Tab geriforte by Himalaya 22 regularly Special Chyawanprash by Patanjali 1 tsf twice a day regularly Check your vit D levels, thyroid hormone levels, hemogram, urine routine, blood sugar levels after 3 months following above points.

You need instant results, for that you will to have to go on a crash diet, but that is not healthy, you might have adverse effects, so better go for eating balanced meals with proper meal timings and increase fiber in your diet in the form of fruits, salads, whole grains etc.

Hello, Yes. Walk is the best exercise for our whole body which requires nothing but just investing your few minutes to hour in a day! It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Go through the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. 14: Take small frequent breaks for a quick walk in between as sitting for long hours together encourages the accumulation of fat in the body! Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

Sorry you can not reduce weight that fast. Maximum of 4 kgs cam be lost in a month following a healthy diet and exercise. To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.

Hello doctor. Four months before I used to hot drinks in 180 ml/day for three months. I have take food, dry fruits properly. That time I have 15 percentage of belly fat to look. Hi Lybrate user … Eat few these things for avoid over weight gain and fat. Apples: They are super foods that you can take three to four times a day as a substitute to carb-rich foods. Almonds: Rich in Vitamin E and has high fiber content that will make you feel full and reduce your hunger. Green Leafy Vegetables: They are rich in fiber and very low in calories. They will help in preventing water retention. Avocado: They are rich in high fiber and have high monounsaturated fatty acids that help in reducing belly fat. Cucumber: Cucumber is a vegetable that has high water content and is very low in calories. Watermelon: It is a fruit that has 80% water content in it and very few calories. Many fruits are rich in micronutrients, essential vitamins, fibre content and antioxidants along with that fruits occupy more space and less in calories so makes your tummy full and gives you feeling of satiety or fullness.

Most of the fruits have high fiber content , it comes in soluble or insoluble form. both forms are indigestible. They forms a bulk & increase water content of stool making it softer and easily movable in Gastrointestinal tract. High fiber diet reduces cardiovascular morbidity & mortality.

Diabetic person should avoid eating fruits with high glycemic index i.e. those fruits which readily digest in stomach and raises your blood sugars more than others like Mango, Chikoo, Banana (Green), Grapes, Custard Apple, etc.

Also one should avoid drinking fruit juices as condensation process increases sugar content of juice as well as a glass of juice is roughly equivalent to eating 2-3 fruits at a time. It is always better to eat a fresh fruit instead of drinking a fruit juice added with or without preservatives.

Managing blood sugars by diabetic person is all about balancing food intake. For example suppose Person (A) who is diabetic had four bread slices at breakfast at 9.00 AM and his blood sugars measured at 11.00 AM found out to be 300 mg/dl. If the same person (A) divides those breakfast into 2 halves and take 2 bread slices at 8.00 AM and 2 bread slices at 10.00 AM then his blood sugar roughly remains around 130 mg/dl. In this example the food intake is not decreased but instead it is divided into small quantity and consumed frequently.

Normally we consume most of the meal in the first 20 mins of starting a meal so eating a fruit before meal delays food intake and gives feeling of fullness or satiety earlier. That eventually leads to consumption of less food at meal so less calorie intake and helps to loose weight.

Many colorful fruits like berries are rich in antioxidants ( Lycopen, Beta-carotene, etc.) . In diabetes high blood sugar values causes damage to nerves, retina, blood vessels and other systems via specific pathways. One of them is through generating free oxygen radical species, these anti-oxidants reacts with such harmful oxygen radicals and scavenger them thus minimizes the tissue damage in diabetes.

What fruits to eat in diabetes ?

Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries etc. all berries are rich in antioxidants, vitamins and low in carbohydrates.
Peaches are rich in vitamin A & C , Potassium and fiber.
Apple a day keeps doctor away. Apples are rich in fiber, vitamin C & low in carb. don’t peel the skin as it contains antioxidants.
Oranges are great in vitamin C, low in carb, contains potassium and folate, other citrus fruits like grapefruits are also equally good to eat.
Pears good in potassium and fiber.Other fruits like apricot , guava are also rich vitamin A and good to eat .
Eating Fruits before meals helps you to loose weight & control your blood sugars. Making a habit of it helps a lot to obese individuals and known diabetic people.

If you are fond of eating crunchy snacks like peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts, raisins and figs, they will definitely help you gain weight. They are full of fats, fibers, vitamins and minerals, and also contain essential oils which enable a thin person to put on some kilos.  Chomp on a handful of nuts every day to increase your body weight.  Add 3 almonds, 2 dates and 1 dried fig to a glass of milk and boil it. Drink this for a month to witness a significant amount of weight gain.  Alternatively, soak 6 dried figs and about 30 grams of raisins in water overnight. Eat them in two parts.

There is nothing instant in weight loss. Proper diet and workout will also take more than 4 weeks to show results. That is the trick, people give up in a short time and are unable to loose weight, those who continue, get it right. Sir my lft was done on march of this year and showed bilirubin total of 1.48 and direct 0.4 and all other enzymes normal. Again after 4 months repeated bilirubin total 2.6 and direct 0.3 and enzymes normal. I have belching and soft stools sometimes. I took pantop hp kit, pantodac course and amoxicillin course, paracetamol and voveran in between months. Wat is the cause sir? Urine colour morning orange yellow and then normal. If I drink water continues normal. Please tell me the cause sir.
