5 Ways to Fight Depression If you feel depressed, it's best to do something about it — depression doesn't just go away on its own. In addition to getting help from a doctor or therapist, here are 5 things you can do to feel better. 1. Exercise. Take a 15- to 30-minute brisk walk every day — or dance, jog, or bike if you prefer. People who are depressed may not feel much like being active. In addition to getting aerobic exercise, some yoga poses can help relieve feelings of depression. Two other aspects of yoga — breathing exercises and meditation — can also help people with depression feel better. 2. Nurture yourself with good nutrition. Depression can affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating at all, but another might overeat.. Proper nutrition can influence a person's mood and energy. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals (even if you don't feel hungry, try to eat something light, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going). 3. Identify troubles, but don't dwell on them. Try to identify any situations that have contributed to your depression. When you know what's got you feeling blue and why, talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a way to release the feelings and to receive some understanding. 4. Express yourself. With depression, a person's creativity and sense of fun may seem blocked. Exercise your imagination (painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.) and you not only get those creative juices flowing, you also loosen up some positive emotions. Take time to play with a friend or a pet, or do something fun for yourself. Find something to laugh about — a funny movie, perhaps. Laughter helps lighten your mood. 5.Try to notice good things. Depression affects a person's thoughts, making everything seem dismal, negative, and hopeless. If depression has you noticing only the negative, make an effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most of all, don't forget to be patient with yourself. Depression takes time to heal. I am advising you following remedy natural home remedy using almonds, milk, saffron and honey: 1. Soak 8-10 almonds in water overnight 2. Peel off the skin and crush them in the morning 3. Add 1 tsp of crushed almonds to 1 cup warm milk 4. Add a pinch of soaked saffron 5. Add 1 tbsp of honey 6. Mix well 7. Drink once every day this remindy will be helpful.

Regulated incorporation of these herbs in your diet in requisite amount relaxes your mind, and thereby improves its functioning capacity.

Dear lybrate user, I think you have low self esteem and low self confidence. Probably no one appreciated your strengths since your childhood. Please understand that we all have good and bad traits. Try to focus on your good points. Understand that every person in this world is valuable, so are you. Please get in touch with your school or college counsellor at the earliest. Hi lybrate-user ! I felt really bad, I could actually imagine how it would have hurted your son. Frankly speaking concentrate only on your son, but should also maintain at least a problem free life with your husband. Try to be silent, do not end up arguing. Try to not make the dispute big by answering your hubby all the time. Try to adjust for your little son sake. Try giving up. Try not to have too many expectation from your hubby. It happens at this age when kids are 1 to 4 years of age. Try to make your son little attached to his father also so that your hubby also will understand the importance of father how he should behave in front of your child, but handle this carefully. You need to adjust at least till your son turns 6 to 12 years of age. If in future you do something for your son try to hide and keep from your hubby. Break up means you learned good lesson. Do not do that mistake again. Take some gap of the relations. Better to maintain friendly relations with boys. Maintain distance with girls. I am a 39 years old male. I have got a full body checkup done . All my parameters have come normal except for PCV 56 haemoglobin 18.6 and total RBC as 6.56. I do not have any other symptoms or problems. I am a non smoker. No medication . I drink beer regularly every day around 2 bottles. Are these values anything to be worried about. hello user. the amount of alcohol exceeds the daily permissible value. beer also contains small amount of lead as a preservative. kindly stop taking it regularly and wean off from your habit. can lead to encephalopathy and liver dysfunction very early

Phobias are fear-based problems where you exaggerate the stimulus to very frightful proportions. You have very high level of fear which you are not dealing with properly. You will need to meet with a counselor to identify that and find ways to counter it effectively. Now because of that fear you explain it rather clearly that if you are in control, the phobia is less: like closing the door from inside gives you control, whereas if it is shut from the outside you have no control. As a result you may have control issues too. The cervical problem could be stress induced - all connected to the scare. Fear is such a common human trait that there have been special schools devoted to the study and understanding of it. You are not alone but do reach out and resolve this soon for you to enjoy a normal and peaceful life.
