Dear lybrate-user. Alcohol is poison and it is absorbed by liver. Then liver dismantles the alcohol and poisons itself. There is no safe limit. Every drop of alcohol is bad for liver. Please restrain from alcohol drinking. Take care.

The most common mistake people suffering from insomnia make is that they'try' to sleep. This causes frustration and that drives sleep away further. What you should do is follow'sleep hygiene' 1. Avoid stimulants like tea/ coffee in the evening. 2. Avoid stimulating brain activities like gaming just before sleeping. 3. Use your bed only for sleep. Do not go to your bed unless you are sleepy. 4. Avoid heavy exercise after 8 p. M. Do exercise every day preferably in the morning. 5. Avoid day time naps. 6. Have a glass of milk before bed time. Avoid heavy meals at night. 7. Do not try to fall asleep. You need to be relaxed to sleep. If you don't get sleep then get up and do something boring. 8. Tell yourself'you are not going to sleep' sometimes this tricks your brain into falling asleep. 9. If the problem persists visit a doctor, preferably a psychiatrist to find out the cause of insomnia.

Due to changing lifestyle in this competitive world sometimes we feel so lonely as we are surrounded by many peoples but we don't connect with them its like" water water every where but not a drop to drink" and all these factors some times lead to loose intrest in every type of activities and when any emotional person faces this type of situation he/she really feels problem because now a days peoples are becoming self centred without caring for others feeling but it does't mean that this situation cannot be change what it requires is slightly change in our view point as we cannot change the people and environment around us but we can change our view point so that we can lead good life, your concern is showing that you want to change this situation ,its really positive point .I am sure with slightly change in your view point you will be able to feel all the beautiful colours of life. You can also consult any professional regarding this. Life is very precious we get only 1 life so enjoy as much as you can, there are many colours in life ,only the difference lies in our approach just think about patient who is suffering from cancer at last stage that patient will desperately want to live as much as he/she can ,i know by only saying its really difficult to manage ,but you have to divert your mind, try to make yourself busy as much as you can so that no other type of thought came. And if still thought runs then write it on paper and also write that you will think on this topic at some other time mention the time and say to yourself that at now I am suppose to do some other work. Make some new friends, try to chat on fb ,but anyhow you have to make yourself busy, increase social activities, you can do yoga and some deep breathing exercise, join any hobby class, listen loud music as it will interfere with your thought, you can make some plan with friends, make any good friend so that by sharing your feelings you will feel good. Take care.

It is totally normal. Vaginal discharge is normal. It's consistency and amount changes throughout the month and with age. Another factor is sexual arousal. There is no need to worry unless there is a foul smell, greenish-yellowish discharge, itching or pain.

Schizophrenia: Causes, Symptoms and Treatment

Schizophrenia is a debilitating mental and emotional condition that is characterised by a heavily distorted thought process as well as hallucinations and even extreme fear that borders on paranoia. Let us find out more about this debilitating disease:

Causes:
1. Genetics: genetic factors play an important role in the development of schizophrenia.
2. Environment: possible environmental factors include obstetric complications, the mother's exposure to influenza during pregnancy or starvation. It has also been suggested that stress, trauma even migration can lead to the emergence of schizophrenia.
3. Neurodevelopmental factors: schizophrenia appears to be a neurodevelopmental disorder. That is changes that cause the illness have been occurring from the earliest stages of development even in utero, and may continue to influence the development of the brain over the first 25 years of life.

Symptoms:
This disease has a variety of symptoms include cognitive and emotional ones that can vary in the degree and severity. One of the most common symptoms included hallucinations and delusions where the patient may end up imagining things that do not really exist. The patient may also be gripped by sudden and crippling fear like paranoia, which can be debilitating as far as everyday functioning of the person goes. The symptoms can also interfere with the way a person deals with situations and life skills on a cognitive basis. Withdrawal and hopelessness are also a part of this disease.

Treatment:
The earliest signs and symptoms must be referred to a psychiatrist. The treatment involves the management of the case of an individual basis along with psychological rehabilitation programs and inclusion of the patient in self-help groups. Housing and employment programs must also be availed so as to keep the patient busy. Also, behaviour therapy will be required in such cases. The mode of counselling should usually be on a one on one basis, although many doctors also suggest that group therapy can help in showing examples of progress so as to encourage the patient to change and get a new lease of life.

Variety is the spice of life. All of us tend to get bored by our routines and therefore we have the concept of a weekly off and vacation. To avoid getting bored of things , do everything in moderation . Take short breaks in between eg exercise 5 days a week, or change the form of exercise - gym for 3 days, go to the park on the other 3 days and take an off on one day . Likewise for working for your dream, set monthly ,weekly and daily targets . Reward yourself whenever you are able to achieve your target . Take a break for a couple of days . You don't have to be productive 24X7.

Masturbation has nothing to do with brain power or memory. The guilt around it may have caused enough stress to cause a lot of distraction and therefore there might have been some memory loss. You may be under this stress, and I do not know if you are aware of it. Find out if there is any other disturbance and as you address it, memory and concentration will happily return to favor you. Do meet with a counselor, if your stress is too much. In the meantime please follow the suggested guidelines: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or calisthenics exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night?s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil or coconut oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. But you must have short term memory to convert it into long-term memory. So the emphasis must be in activating good short term memory, ideally and always. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that you and the family go for counseling too.
