The memory from around the accident full recovery is often lost since the patient is usually not fully conscious. Also a lot of memory depends on the sure of injury. Most patients do gradually recover over time with a lot of assistance. You can also contact any psychologist who is trained in cognitive retraining to assist with recovery.

3 month later my final examination. And i am in depression. What can I do for my mind empty and fresh plss sir tel me.
It is just a lapse in concentration caused at your age by adolescence and hormonal imbalances. These normally last for two years and then settle down, on its own. But you could develop bad habits in this time and get into insecurity and depression for the rest of your life. It is therefore very important to learn how to deal with this situation and come out with flying colors. If you are under some stress, there will be difficulty remembering. So if you handled stress better, you will certainly improve. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is rested well to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. So, catch a good 8 hours of sleep every day. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out, if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. You may also meet with a counselor to take care of the stress related emotions, and then you will fare better too.The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine.

I will start it from beginning, In my teenage there was a stress and tension in my life for very long time and that was serious stress and tension, I do not know can I call that depression or not. Only doctors can say but that was long time of stress, Tension, disappointment ,inferiority complex and that situation of my life made me anxious and abnormally very aggressive and violent. However I got out from that situation and tension to some extent not totally. I faced very very weird type mental tension at very young age, At 16, 17,18. however I got out from that tension to some extent not totally, I turned 19, And left my little home town for studies in bangalore, There in bangalore I was happy to be there, New friends, New environment and big city bangalore. I was thinking of enjoy all this, although I was anxious but not that much. I felt anxiety and nervousness in social situations in college and hostels but that was under my control I was able to enjoy things. New life, I started smoking and drinking with my new friends and became heavy chain smoker, After some month I started feeling very very strong anxiety and social phobia. I stopped going college meeting friends other than room mates. I developed social anxiety disorder, GAD, Bipolar and many more, My life became hell. But that time I did not know that I am having a mental disorder, I did not understand why I became like this, I never think of going to doctor for any mental problem. I thought log kya kahenge ki kya mai pagal ho gaya hu. My life stopped, Study ruined, Very few friends, No girl friend very poor life with lots of expectations from life. I could do anything. I lost everything studies, Girls I loved, Money,Very precious time of life. But I did not share about my mental disorders with anyone. But some of my friends had doubt of my metal health. After struggling this kind of hellish life for seven years I thought of going to an Ayurveda doctor for this mental disorder, I thought herbal Ayurveda treatment would be good for mental disorders. I was benefited by Ayurveda medicines. I thought of quitting smoking so that I can adopt healthy lifestyle so that medicines would be more effective. After more than six months of taking medicine I realized that I did not need any medicine I just need to quit smoking drinking and a healthy lifestyle. All my friends smoke and drink but they are mentally healthy at all. I never thought smoking will cause me that much serious mental disorders. I quit it more than year ago. Now I am facing thing BRAIN FOG. It feels something opposite state of anxiety and it just refused to go. I think anti anxiety ayurvedic medicines caused me something like brain fog and it just refused to go. I think it is opposite state of anxiety so I again started cigarette and 8 Cups coffee in a day so that I can get rid of this brain fog and it seems like its working after lots of coffee I felt it going. I have lost my love I lost Everything in my life because I was mentally ill everybody was enjoying life and I was hiding in a room, Extreme extreme extreme level of social phobia. I think of suicide everyday. My life on chaos. Now I just want to know how to end this brain fog and how stay mentally healthy at all. Please suggest me right way.

General Physician,
Suicide or feeling depressed is not a solution to your problem and you try depression control as I say here .10 Natural Depression Treatments Being depressed can make you feel helpless. But Along with therapy and sometimes medication, there's a lot you can do on your own to fight back. Changing your behaviour – your physical work, lifestyle, and even your way of thinking -- are all natural depression treatments .these tips can help you feel better -- starting right now. 1. Get in a routine. If you’re depressed, you need a routine depression can strip away the structure from your life. One day melts into the next. Setting a gentle daily schedule can help you get back on track. 2. When you're depressed, you may feel like you can't accomplish anything. That makes you feel worse about yourself. To push back, set daily goals for yourself. "Start very small,” "Make your goal something that you can succeed at, like doing the dishes every other day. As you start to feel better, you can add more challenging daily goals. 3. Exercise- It temporarily boosts feel-good chemicals called endorphins. It may also have long-term benefits for people. Regular exercise seems to encourage the brain to rewire itself in positive ways. How much exercise do you need? You don’t need to run marathons to get a benefit. Just walking a few times a week can help. 4. Eat healthy. There is no magic / special; diet that corrects depression. It's a good idea to watch what you eat, though. If depression tends to make you overeat, getting in control of your eating will help you feel better. Although nothing is definitive, there’s evidence that foods with omega-3 fatty acids (such as fish) and folic acid (such as spinach) could help ease depression. 5. Get enough sleep. Depression can make it hard to get enough sleep and can make depression worse. What can you do? Start by making some changes to your lifestyle. Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try not to nap. Take all the distractions out of your bedroom -- no computer and no TV. In time, you may find your sleep improves. 6. Take on responsibilities. When you’re depressed, you may want to pull back from life and give up your responsibilities at home and at work. Staying involved and having daily responsibilities can work as a natural depression treatment. They ground you and give you a sense of accomplishment. If you're not up to full-time school or work, that’s fine. Think about part-time. If that seems like too much, consider volunteer work. 7. Challenge negative thoughts. In your fight against depression, a lot of the work is mental -- changing how you think. When you're depressed, you leap to the worst possible conclusions. You might feel like no one likes you, but is there real evidence for that? You might feel like the most worthless person on the planet, but is that really likely? It takes practice, but in time you can beat back those negative thoughts before they get out of control. 8. Check with your doctor before using supplements. "There's promising evidence for certain supplements for depression, Those include fish oil, folic acid. Always check with your doctor before starting any supplement, especially if you’re already taking medications 9. Do something new. When you’re depressed, you’re in a rut. Push yourself to do something different. Go to a museum. Pick up a used book and read it on a park bench. Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Take a language class. "When we challenge ourselves to do something different, there are chemical changes in the brain, "Trying something new alters the levels of [the brain chemical] dopamine, which is associated with pleasure, enjoyment, and learning. 10. Try to have fun. If you’re depressed, make time for things you enjoy. What if nothing seems fun anymore? "That's just a symptom of depression, You have to keep trying anyway. As strange as it might sound, you have to work at having fun. Plan things you used to enjoy, even if they feel like a chore. Keep going to the movies. Keep going out with friends for dinner. When you're depressed, you can lose the knack for enjoying life, you have to relearn how to do it. In time, fun things really will feel fun again.

Thanks for the query. Since when do have these concentration difficulties in studies? Starting from simple to more complex issues; we usually are able to concentrate better when whatever we are reading/doing is interesting for us & NOT MERELY DRAB WORK! Hence, you can try to make studies interesting by devising pnemonics, trying to figure out practical applications of whatever you are studying with help of teachers & elders around. Secondly, try & choose subjects/courses which you are really interested in studying & just do not study for the heck of getting a degree/academic qualification. Lastly, studies have time & again proven that average concentration span of human mind is around 30 minutes. Hence, if you are able to study for 30 minutes; you are actually doing good! You can devise a 30 minutes study-10 minutes break (strictly 10 minutes!) schedule to improve your concentration. Good Luck.

Any amount of advice only fall on deaf ears as he is not willing to listen any one. That only increases his consumption. I want to know any safe medicine that can be administered along with food without patients knowledge that can create a dirt of aversion towards alcohol. Presently his health is good outwardly.

You will definitely need medical assistance to get rid of the habit. Trying to wean it out slowly does not help and in the long term may not be productive. You might consult a deaddiction centre - where under medical supervision you can undergo a detoxification program as well as Behavior counselling. Detoxification programmes help a person who is dependent on alcohol to cease use in a way that minimizes the symptoms of withdrawal and the risk of complications, sometimes using a prescribed medication. Counselling and psychotherapy form integral parts of most forms of treatment. They aim at initiating and maintaining behavioural and lifestyle changes, and help to control urges to use alcohol. It uses a variety of methodologies and techniques, including motivational interventions, cognitive-behavioral approaches (social skills training, stress management, anger management), relapse prevention, provision of incentives, community reinforcement therapies I hope this helps.

Stress - 4 Ways How it Affects Your Sexual Life

Stress - 4 Ways How it Affects Your Sexual Life

If you are suffering from excessive stress, it is likely that your physical and emotional health may be affected. Your sexual life too is affected due to stress. Too much of stress leaves you physically tired and exhausted. Because of this, you will not have enough energy to have sex. Moreover, when you are stressed out about some issue, your libido gets affected, and you might not have any interest in having sex.

Effects of stress on your sexual life

  1. Stress results in a negative body image. The hormones which are associated with stress may impact metabolism. With the increase in the production of these stress hormones, you may feel sluggish and gain weight, thereby providing a negative body image due to which you might not have the desire to indulge in sexual activity. Stress causes lowered self-esteem which results in less sex.
  2. Stress results in reduced libido. The hormones associated with stress are required by the body in small amounts, but the overproduction of these hormones can suppress sexual hormones, leading to decreased libido.
  3. Extreme stress may affect personal relationships and cause conflicts between a couple. This will result in rare sexual activity as proper communication between a couple gets reduced.
  4. You may start drinking excessively because of stress. Too much alcohol is bad for sexual health. It makes sex dull and less pleasurable. Alcohol causes dehydration, which affects lubrication. Stress also affects a person’s fertility and menstruation cycle, which could hamper your sex life.

Ayurvedic treatment for stress
Ayurveda offers effective treatments to get rid of stress. By using natural and herbal Ayurvedic medicines, you can get rid of unnecessary stress from your life and revive your sexual life. Here are some effective Ayurvedic treatments for getting rid of stress:

  1. Several Ayurvedic herbs are stress reducing in nature. You can use herbs such as ashwagandha, bala, brahmi, gotu kola, saraswati churna, vacha, tulsi, shankapushpi, Siberian ginseng, liquorice, vidari and shatavari.
  2. You should consume food items, which help in reducing stress. These include coconut, walnut, mangoes, pineapples and bananas, fried in ghee.
  3. Several natural drinks can help in relieving stress. These include tomato juice, ginger tea, garlic milk, and tulsi tea.
  4. You should practice stress relieving activities such as yoga and meditation. Several yoga asanas in different poses should be practiced.
  5. You can try several stress relieving Ayurvedic therapies. These may include Shirodhara (bliss therapy), Abhyanga (warm oil massage), Shiro Abhyanga and Nasya (head massage).

Ayurveda helps in controlling stress. A combination of several benefits known as Panchakarma is provided by Ayurveda for reducing stress. Reduced stress will drastically improve your sexual performance and sexual stamina. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a ayurveda and ask a free question.

I have chest pain and cough over 5 years is there any solution for this. I smoke ciggarates.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd

I have chest pain and cough over 5 years is there any solution for this. I smoke ciggarates.
I hope it is a regular chest pain and cough. But you never know with you smoking and all. You msut visit a doctor and examine teh chest pain to see that you are not developing some cardiac problem. Whatever happens the smoking must stop. It is very bad habit and if these symptoms are connected to the habit, this may hopefully be the last of your smoking. Please do some of the following as you condition improves:Tobacco consumption, either through smoke or other edible forms, is always harmful. The desire to quit is a good starting point. The best way to quit is to know more about the ill-effects of tobacco. The knowledge is astounding and scary. That information itself should help you to want to quit. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lung with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heart beat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. There are more than 4000 harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke!!! You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. Then you need to identify why you smoke: there is an oral need, the nicotine effect, the psychological effect of covering up some other issue, for style, to impress, etc. You may discover that the reasons may be unimportant at this stage because you have become too addicted and the habit has become compulsive. You should start exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may take hard candy or chewing gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine chewing gum or nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces substantially. You may join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i.e. at least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. Don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. As Mark Twain once jocularly said, “giving up smoking is easy; I have done it many times”. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest.
