21 year old female. I have cough for three days with little blood in phlegm. Doctor suggested Grilinctus and Amoxicillin for 5 days. It's been three days. Still some blood in phlegm. What should I do?

Do gurgle with tulsi in warm water 3-4 times a day. It is bleeding because of scraping of your throat due to coughing.

My Penis has a bent toward left side of my body when erected. I am going to marry next month. Can I cure this?

MBBS
General Physician, Cuttack
My Penis has a bent toward left side of my body when erected. I am going to marry next month. Can I cure this?
1.Little bit of bending to one side upto 25 degree is considered normal. So don't worry 2. If the bending is more and it is associated with painful erection, it is due to thickening of fibrous tissue on one side as in Peyronie's disease and may need surgery. 3.you may consult urologist for advice.

I am 24 and I am single and I masturbate often but It's not enough as I do not have a girl to have sex with. How should I make myself more satisfying and pleasurable Orgasms. I sometimes even fantasize my girl best friend and even though she has boyfriend and I can't stop staring at her ass and cleavage.

Instead of indulging in masturbation and staring at some woman which is bad manners, it would be better for you to get married and have natural sex daily with your wife.

All About Torn Meniscus

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, Ozone Therapy

All About Torn Meniscus

Your knees are one of the most vulnerable parts of your bodies. In case of strenuous or vigorous activities, knees are more prone to damage and injury than the other parts. Several of the knee tissues are fairly delicate and often are easily impaired. Among the other knee tissue injuries, meniscus tears are perhaps the most frequent. Meniscus is essentially a cartilage that protects and stabilizes the knee joints. However, an untoward twist or a strain can lead to a tear in the meniscus. Meniscus tears are a common phenomenon among athletes and sportsmen. They have been noted to be more recurrent in older individuals.

Some of the early symptoms that indicate the onset of a meniscus tear are swelling and difficulty in bending or straightening of the leg. Sometimes a "locking sensation" in the knees also forebodes a torn meniscus. The inflammation potentially causes a lot of pain and irritation. While, it is fairly easy to ignore a meniscus tear for a normal knee injury, prolonged overlooking may only aggravate the pain and worsen the condition. The process of diagnosing a meniscus tear usually involves an MRI scan and an X-ray examination, over and above a detailed evaluation of the wound.

Treating meniscus tears vary according to the extent of the injury. Depending upon the location and the depth of the tear, various cures can be tried. The healing process, however, depends upon other allied factors such as age, level of physical activities and one's medical history. An external and minor injury is easily mendable. Whereas, graver injuries are resolved through surgical means. The other non-operative means include certain prescribed medicines and specific exercises. Some of the recommended ways of battling a meniscus tear can be enlisted as:

  1. Resting the knee by limiting the activities that involve excessive use of the legs or they may potentially strain the leg muscles.
  2. Applying ice pack can significantly bring relief to the swelling and the pain in the injured knee. Doctors advice regular use for a duration of at least 15 days.
  3. Compressing the knee using an elastic bandage or neoprene sleeve reduces the swelling in the knee.
  4. Prescribed medicines in the likes of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can be effective remedies for a meniscus tear. However, one must mandatorily consult a doctor before consuming such medicines.

There is a difference between taking medicine and taking treatment. U need to understand this. Sperms are produced in our body for 24 hrs 365 days. If you won't remove it from your body by regular/daily sexual inter course or regular masturbation, you will ejaculate sooner than expected during a sexual inter course. Plus it might also happen that you'd ejaculate even during a sex chat or talk or the foreplay. When you ejaculate within 1 minute of beginning of the inter course and if it happens every time since last 6 months, it can be considered as premature ejaculation. Most of the cases of premature ejaculation in our country are due to faulty practice or over expectations or ignorance and can be relieved just by understanding the physiology and anatomy of human sexual organs. You can try the 'start stop' technique or the 'squeeze technique' You can increase the duration of your sexual activity by increasing the frequency of sexual inter course to 7-8 times a week or increasing the frequency of masturbation to 6-7 times a week. If you follow this sincerely for two weeks, I'm sure you won't require any medications. You can contact me again after 15 days.
