Hello. It can be general stress issue. Try do get few sessions of Physiotherapy .to soften that tighten side. And, keep doing exercises for knee strengthening.

I am 58 yr. S old. 3-4years back I mate with accident with no major injury. I had frozen shoulder after that which was taken care by physiotherapy. Now november 2014 I observed that once again I am having left frozen shoulder. Since then I have taken swd and physiotherapy but this time recovery is not even 30%. Doctor has asked me blood test for homocystine and vitamin d. What causes frozen shoulder and does it have any relation to thyroidism? please enlighten me for right treatment.

Frozen shoulder or adhesive capsulitis is a condition in which shoulder movements get progressively decreased, it is commonly associated with diabetes although association with other conditions is also known. I have fracture in right hand in below wrist. Its my first winter. It is said cold disturb the movement, bring stiffness and causes pain. So is there any lotion or cream or ointment to overcome this problem or any pad, cover or band. Tell me does wearing band sort of thing harm injury.

No doubt you have to protact your hand from old. You can do so with the help of wollens. Physiotherapy helps a great deal. Local applicants don't give any permanent relief.

Long time sitting and hunching over a desk is a leading reason why people end up with crippling back pain at some point in their lives. But a few simple changes in the way you work can make your pain go away. 1-Keep your head up; Focus on aligning your head and neck right above your shoulders; avoid straining forward. 2-Be choosy with your chair: Pick one that allows your lower back to rest against a lumbar support. Then tilt the back of the chair so it’s very slightly reclined. 3-Plant your feet: Keep them flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart to quiet tension in your knees and ankles. 4-Take breaks: Getting up at least once an hour— just do some shoulder rolls—reduces pressure on spinal disks and boosts circulation. If your back pain is severe please go to a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. Best wishes.

For knee pain, please follow the below advise: avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area. Contrast fomentation (hot and cold). Wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Dear Dr. My husband is suffering from fever since yesterday & his all joints have pain. Today he was went to MD Dr. he took CBC & one more test which I send you in Attachment. These test has negative. But Dr. told all symptoms shown that it is chikungunya or dengue viral so he prescribed total bed rest. Dr. sir is it any danger fir my hubby. Muscles pain you can do it this exercise, 1 Lying on your back, bend your right knee into your chest and place a strap or rolled-up towel around the ball of your foot. Straighten your leg toward the ceiling. Press out through both heels. If the lower back feels strained, bend the left knee and place the foot on the ground. Hold for 3-5 minutes and then switch to the left let for 3-5 minutes. 2…. Lying on your back, bend your knees into your chest and bring your arms out at a T. As you exhale lower your knees to ground on the right. Keep both shoulders pressing down firmly. If the left shoulder lifts, lower your knees further away from the right arm. Hold for 1-2 minutes each side I hope you will fit and fine.

Do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. You will need other supportive medicines also. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Don? t ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Dislocation - What Can be the Reasons Behind it?

Dislocation refers to an injury, which causes the bones to abnormally separate from each other in the joint, which is the meeting place of the bones. Dislocation causes intense pain and is most common in the fingers, shoulders and the elbows. Although a timely diagnosis can make your pain go away, any future injury in the tendons or the ligaments might bring back the injury. 

What can cause a dislocation?
The causes of dislocation are as follows:

  1. A body joint can get dislocated if you have suffered a fall.
  2. If you are into any form of sports that requires strenuous physical activity and intense exertion on certain body parts like gymnastics, football or volleyball you have a chance of suffering from dislocated body joints.
  3. Automobile accidents can also cause dislocation of joints.
  4. Some People who are with a loose ligament and are more likely to get a dislocated joint than other people. This may happen without the influence of a major physical trauma or stress.


Understanding the signs and symptoms
In the majority of the cases, a dislocation of the joint is easily detectable as it induces inflammation along with redness and deformation of the affected area. Some of the other symptoms that might occur as a result of the dislocation of the body joints could be: 

  1. You might experience severe pain while moving the dislocated joint.
  2. There will be a lack of sensation near the dislocated portion.
  3. There might be a stinging sensation in the dislocated area.
  4. In certain areas you may not be able to move the joint at all

If you have a dislocated joint, the doctors can easily relocate them. Depending on the amount of swelling and pain you are experiencing, the doctor might administer local anesthesia during the process. If the joint dislocation is too severe or has multiple instances of dislocation, then you may have to undergo surgery. Surgery may also be suggested if the adjoined ligaments or tendons are severely affected along with the joints. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.

I had take trimester tablet for joint pain complaint which is caused by chikungunya. But when I take this medicine I feel better regards pain but vomiting starts. It happens three times within 10 days. What I had to do. I have 100 degree F fever at present may be due to vomiting and joint pain. Pain is more severe in wrist of both hands.

If you are having neck problem while doing Dumble than you should stop doing it for at least 15 days You did not mention what problem you are having like pain or any other problem so kindly clear your symptom and consult me again and if you want you can also opt for Video appointment
