It could be fungal infection called candidiasis. See a dentist or alternatively send me pics. We might prescribe you antifungal creams. Discontinue smoking. Also get hiv1 and hiv2 test done. Take multivitamins tablets and use tongue cleaner. Try this and report back with your reports via consult now. Won't charge you consultation fees.

Bad breath can be due- *Infections in gums, teeth or oral mucus of the mouth. * Sinusitis, nose block and tonsillitis will also cause this problem. *Dryness of mouth * If the teeth are crooked, ulcers may be caused and food particles may get stuck causing infection. *Eating and digestive disorders. *Dental plaque * Taking some medicines for other diseases. Taking care of your oral hygiene- •Use proper tooth brush and fluoride based tooth paste. Tongue cleaning is also very important. •Gargling your mouth after eating any food. •Avoid tobacco and smelly masala foods. •Treat underlying medical conditions •Crooked teeth to be corrected by braces at early age. Drink plenty of water and avoid dryness of mouth. **Homoeopathy has good treatment for your problem, without causing adverse effects. Plz help. After sleeping in night saliva come in my mouth and I get to wake up in midnight to spit. And it becomes 5 to 10 times till morning.

Although excessive saliva is not too common, there are a number of conditions that can cause it - some harmless, others more serious. It is possible that your saliva problems are just a result of the way you speak. Some people speak faster or slower than others, just as some people blink more often, breathe faster, or have a more rapid heartbeat. This may just be what's normal for you. Since it is negatively affecting your life, I suggest your problem can be ignored. However there are medical conditions that causes excessive salivation injection glycopyrrolate reduces secretions in the mouth, throat, airway, and stomach.

Pain on having sweet is indicative of caries. Get your cavities filled. If you wait then that small cavities will turn into big whole in your teeth then you have to think about root canal treatment or removal of that tooth second thing you have is bleeding while brushing. It is due to infection in your gums. For cure, you have to visit your dentist and ask him for cleaning of teeth as well as gums. After cleaning you have to maintain your oral hygiene at home.

Is extraction of two wisdom teeth together on the same side of the mouth ?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of Academy of General Education (FAGE), BDS
Dentist,
Well, I am a specialist for your question and i frequently perform cases like you. There is absolutely no harm in getting it removed together. Rather i even remove all 4 wisdom teeth for my patients in the same appointment. Its little tiring for the patient but it helps a lot because u have to take all medications only once and go thru the ordeal of stitches, mouthwash, swelling, leave from office, soft food, etc, only once and not multiple no. of times.

Its swelling in my tooth base on uper jaw since three month. Last year I needed silver deu to cavity.

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Its swelling in my tooth base on uper jaw since three month.
Last year I needed silver deu to cavity.
If the tooth is filled with silver and having swelling at root base than the filling is to be removed and rct will be done for exposed tooth. If the infection is in gum in that case deep cleaning and dressing of pocket may be sufficient this can be ascertained after taking an x ray and than further treatment can be planned.

Sharp teeth can be smoothed easily in 1 sitting by dentist, even hole (cavity) filling can be done. With filling your sensitivity will get ok or you can use desensitising paste.

All About Dental Implants

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
All About Dental Implants

Dental implants are surgical fixtures that are inserted into the jawbone to allow fusing over a span of few months. The implant works as a root replacement for a missing tooth. Eventually, this artificially placed tooth root helps in holding the bridge (partial denture) or the replacement tooth firmly. Dental implants are even designed to match your natural teeth, rendering a strong foundation to both the removable and the fixed replacement teeth.

Are you a candidate for Dental Implants?

Dental implants are used to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or all of the teeth. The goal of teeth replacement is to restore function as well as esthetics.

When it comes to tooth replacement, dental implants is of the three options available. Deciding on which option to choose depends on many factors. Specifically for dental implants, these factors include:

  • location of missing tooth or teeth,

  • quantity and quality of the jawbone where the dental implant is to be placed,

  • health of the patient,

  • cost,

  • patient preference.

A dental surgeon examines the area to be considered for the dental implant and makes a clinical assessment of whether the patient is a good candidate for a dental implant.

Here are a few advantages of getting a dental implant done:

  1. Improved Appearance: Dental implants provide an almost natural look to the teeth. Since they are designed in a way to amalgamate with your bone, they subsequently become permanent.

  2. Enhanced Speech: Dental implants let you speak effortlessly and without the scare of your teeth slipping inside the mouth and meddling with your speech; which is otherwise a common phenomenon with ill-fitted dentures.

  3. More Comfort: Since the implants become a part of you, they do away with the hassles accompanying removable dentures.

  4. Easier Eating: Sliding dentures might pose difficulty while chewing. Dental implants help you with an almost painless eating experience owing to the fact that they function just the way your original teeth would.

  5. Improved Oral Health: There is no need of reduction or alteration of the surrounding teeth in order to support the implants. Hence most of the teeth are left just as they are, improving one’s oral hygiene.

  6. Durability: Implants are tough and resistant, and can last a lifetime if taken proper care of.

  7. Convenience: Dental implants spare one the inconvenience that is so common with removable dentures and at the time of fixing them to their place with messy adhesives.

Healthy gums and strong jaw bones are the only two requisites for a dental implant. Maintaining good oral hygiene and visiting or consult a dentist regularly should be at the top of the priority list after getting the implants done. However, one needs to put in the same amount and quality of care (read brushing and flossing) to the dental implants as one would’ve had to his/her original teeth. A thorough rinse with the help of an antibacterial mouth wash is a must along with periodic dental check-ups.

What Happens During A Routine Dental Check Up

What Happens During A Routine Dental Check Up

No one likes going to a dentist. People fear a toothache, let alone the treatment. Because of this, a lot of people end up in the dentist's chair only when the pain is unbearable and it is too late to save the tooth. Just like we have a routine health check up for the rest of our body, our teeth too need to be looked at by a dentist at regular intervals to spot that cavity right when it starts. A regular visit can also allow a quick clean up to keep your teeth shining white.

Here's what to expect during a routine dental check up:

  1. They'll check your history: Before you actually get to the dentist's chair, your dentist will want to know your entire health background. This is done either by you filling out a detailed form that the receptionist gives you or a junior dentist filling a medical record sheet after asking you questions. You'll specially be asked questions about any pain or symptoms you might be experiencing in your teeth and other things like medications, diabetes, arthritis, pregnancy etc. Each of these problems can have a direct impact on your dental treatment, hence revealing them to your practitioner in advance is very important. Also, be sure to discuss any concerns or anxiety you are experiencing. Most dentists know how to put their patient at ease. All it'll take is a quick chat to put you at ease.
  2. You'll get a cleaning: Just like the car gets a good wash before the mechanic can have a look, your teeth will get a good scrub before your dentist can address any problem areas. Cleaning involves scraping off built up plaque and tartar that collects above and below the gum line before flossing between and around every tooth to remove any plaque or food particles that are clinging on. You may also get a final shiny finish for your pearly whites at the end of the cleaning session.
  3. Your teeth will be examined: Your dentist will now use a metal probe with a small angled mirror to see behind and between teeth and gums, as well as check for the softening of tooth enamel and dentin. If you have a cavity or anything deeper, this is when it will surface. Once the doctor identifies a problem, they suggest the next course of action.
  4. You may get an X-ray: If the doctor finds a problem that needs fixing, he may ask you to take an X-ray to find out how deep the decay is. You'll be asked to bite down on a piece of plastic while the X-ray machine is placed against your cheek. Where possible, you can check if your doctor can do a digital X-ray which emits 90% less radiation.
  5. Results and advice: Based on your X-ray results and overall medical condition, the doctor may recommend various procedures to remove your existing decay and prevent new ones.
