Dear Sir/Madam, I am 31 years old virgin. I have my penis tilted to left for about 45 degree at the middle of the shaft. I didn't have any problem while masturbating. Now I have my marriage fixed and getting married in next six months. I am worried how to manage.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Penis curved towards right or left or downward is always normal and this can be seen with majority of people. This mostly happen due to masturbation. People who use right hand for masturbation, their penis will be curved to the left and the opposite with left handlers. There are other reasons too. This phenomenon is quite normal and there is nothing to worry. In fact, curved penis will give you more pleasure when you engage in vaginal intercourse than straight penis simply because curvature provides more friction. Enjoy your curve. I suggest online sex education. Take care.

A curved penis simply can be a result of individual anatomy. The direction that an erect penis takes depends on theproportion of crus (penis under the skin) to exposed penis. Men with a shorter crus, and thus a longer penis, are more likelyto have an erection that points downward, while an erect penis that has a longer crus will probably point outward, or evenstraight up. Sometimes the penis also bends to the left or to the right. I think in your case bending may be due to short crus.In the vast majority of cases, the curve falls well within the norms of most men and should not be a deterrent for arelationship. If, however, your penis has a pronounced curve or bends sharply to the left or right — especially if penetration isimpossible or if an erection is painful — you should see a urologist

For headache take tablet paracetamol 650 mg eight hourly and few things related to headache so that we can plan the treatment accordingly - if pain is associated with blurred or decreased vision than check your eye sight for refractive error - if the pain is associated with cold and fever than we have to rule out sinusitis as the cause and if the pain is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura than we have to rule out migrane as the cause - if the pain is associated with neck problems than we have to rule out cervical spondylosis as the cause - if the pain is associated with either low or high bp or due to hyperacidity than we have to treat the cause after examination.

What are the symptoms of dengue? And what kind of precautions should we take if we are suffering from dengue?

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
What are the symptoms of dengue? And what kind of precautions should we take if we are suffering from dengue?
The principal symptoms of dengue are: -high fever and at least two of the following: -severe headache -severe eye pain (behind eyes) -joint pain -muscle and/or bone pain -rash -mild bleeding manifestation (nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: -severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting -red spots or patches on the skin -bleeding from nose or gums -vomiting blood -black, tarry stools  -drowsiness or irritability -pale, cold, or clammy skin -difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. -Use analgesics with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. -Take rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc.to prevent dehydration. -Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. -Use mosquito repellents/mosquito nets when indoors.  -When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants

Dear lybrate-user, as you already have diagnosis from an orthopaedician, giving suggestion would be accurate. Kindly, make sure you give sufficient rest so that you give time for the body to recover. Do not add extra burden on the other ankle while standing. Do stay away from all the outdoor games till complete recovery. Use hot water sprinkling over the ankle region 3-4 times per day. If problem persists, kindly consult personally. Get well soon,

I have low blood platelets count. How to increase it. Is there any permanent remedy for this problem.

BHMS
Homeopath, Delhi
Papaya leaves, anti-oxidants that are present in food tend to neutralize the free radicals and thus help cope with the decrease in platelet count. Berries such as strawberries, blueberries etc. Are found to be rich in anti-oxidants and consuming them in good quantities may help in increasing platelet count, fruits and vegetables: fresh fruits and vegetables, that are organic in nature, contain loads of micronutrients such as vitamins, especially vitamin k that plays an important role in blood clotting, minerals etc. These are found to be very essential for humans. Green leafy vegetables, dark green vegetables such as lettuce and parsley, olive, soy bean, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, tomatoes omega 3 fatty acids: foods such as fish, flax seed, walnut, spinach etc. Are few examples of omega-3 fatty acids rich foods. Vegetable juices: aloe vera juice, beetroot juice and carrot juice are believed to help improve the platelet count. Aloe vera juice should be taken after every meal, which is believed to be ideal. Taking 2 or 3 tablespoons of beetroot juice mixed with carrot juice twice a day can boost the platelet count in just a few days.
