Hello. I am 19 year old, male and suffering from sleeping disorder. Last seven days I don't use to sleep at night for study purpose. After whole night of reading and writing I go to bed on 6: 00a. M. Now when I try to sleep at night, then don't know why my eyes don't go drwosy. My body pains and feel sleepy but whenever I try closing my eyes and to sleep, my eyes gets open in its own. This makes me more tired and inactive whole day. please suggest me something. Thank you.

Sleeping well is essential to your physical health and emotional well-being. This problem of urs is temporary and due to stress and change of routine. Avoid too much of coffee in the evening or night time. Drink plenty of liquids. Keep a regular sleep schedule. Do deep breathing exercises. Rest in cool dark and quiet room.

This method what are you asking is called'safe period' which is unsafe. Means high failure rate meaning you can not have definite days to avoid pregnancy. Also these days depend not on no of days of bleeding but no of days in between 2 cycles and regular or irregular so those can not be given with information you have given.

Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine - try to get at least 6 to 7 hours of uninteruppted sleep at night time go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer. If you have tried all these and still have problems, please consult me for prescription medication.

Hi, Please follow these tips: Don't get too worried and anxious. Relax well. Avoid drinking coffee or tea after 7 PM, Take hot water bath before going to bed. Have light food and drink a glass of warm milk at night. Listen to soothing music or read some magazines while you are on bed. Keep your mobile in silent mode at night. Do not work on your laptop on the bed or watch TV till late night. Sleep in a dark and silent room.

Hi lybrate-user, dry cough without fever is usually allergic & you do not have any chest congestion. The cough reflex is due to irritation in the throat. Chest pain here is due to the intercoastal muscles which get overworked or overstretched due to repeated bouts of cough. Do the following take warm water esp at bedtime. Black pepper mixed with honey 2-3 times a day benadryl cough formula 5 ml 3 times a day for 5 days for chest pain apply dry heat & after that volini gel locally.

How to avoid daytime sleepiness A lot of people, irrespective of whether they go out to work, to college or stay at home, feel sleepy during the day. Some out of fatigue, some because of having a heavy lunch and some others because they do not get a good night? S sleep. Whatever be the reason, a few exercises and some discipline can help you get rid of such sleep cravings. Few ways to avoid daytime sleepiness are: 1. Set a routine: Try to go to sleep and wake up at about the same time every day. This resets your circadian rhythm and helps developing your sleeping pattern. 2. At least 30 minutes of workout is important for every individual. Go for walks, go to the gym, take up yoga or aerobics - regardless of the kind of exercise you are doing. When the body gets exercise, so does the brain and you are refreshed to take on the rest of the day. 3. Go to bed gadget free: Keep your books, mobile, tab, laptop and TV remote away from the bed. Stay calm and do not have heated conversations. Your nerves need calm down as you to sleep. 4. Get enough sleep: Ensure you sleep enough every night so that it doesn? T ruin your day. Night time sleep is important and adults need seven to nine hours of sleep. 5. Set consistent, healthy mealtimes: Regular mealtimes, eating a healthy breakfast and lunch on time prevents energy deficits during the day that will help you get rid of daytime sleepiness 6. Avoid alcohol: Having alcohol in high amount may hamper your regular sleeping pattern and you may be sleepy the whole day. 7.Avoid Self-Medication: Avoid taking sleeping pills or over the counter the drugs. There are different kinds of drugs available in the market. Some may make you sleepy the whole day due to hangover effect of the drug. 8. Consult a Physician or a sleep specialist.

Sir early morning take atleast 2 glasses of warm water. Drink 1 glass water half an hour before meal. No water after meal. Take 1 glass water before going to bed at night. Drink atleast 2 litres of water daily. Don't drink water in a gulp, instead drink water slowly sip by sip. Take 5 soaked badam in morning after drinking water. Green tea you can take 1 cup morning and evening after meals or before meals. To lose weight reduce intake of milk, no packed food, no oats. Eggs only white portion in morning. Body gains weight due to different reasons like improper digestion, acidity, constipation, side-effects of some medicine, low physical activity.
