My both hands are got completely tanned. Is there any quickly solution to come out of it.
Follow these methods to get rid of tanning: * apply lemon juice on tanned areas and leaves for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse off with cold water. You can use cucumber with lemon juice to apply on tanned area. * gently rub the slices of raw tomatoes on tanned area for 5 minutes and then clean with water. * mix one teaspoon of curd with one teaspoon of fuller' s earth (multani mitti) mix and apply it on face for 5 - 7 minutes and then rinse of with water. * apply rose water on tanned area.

doctor i am 25 years old I am suffering from Red dotted rash on face nose and ears since 2days please make me suggestions.

M.B.S.(HOMEO), MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Visakhapatnam
Rashes are common outbreaks or bumps found on the skin and they can either spread out over a larger area or be localized and are frequently accompanied by cracked skin, redness, inflammation and itching. They also have a variety of causes including certain diseases, psychological factors, mosquito bites, viral, fungal or bacterial infections, environmental irritants, allergies, exposure to the sun and dry skin. 1. If you think your rash is due to allergies, you could opt for over the counter products designed to treat allergic skin rashes, such as oral antihistamines and hydrocortisone creams. Another option is to try a calamine lotion which will relieve the itching and irritation of the rash. 2. One of the easiest ways to get rid of a rash that is caused by heat, hives, poison ivy, insect bites or similar things is to use a cold compress or wrap some ice in a towel. You can also use cold non-skimmed milk to help with this as well. 3. N the morning, wash your face using clean cool water and mild soap then let it air dry. When you shower, scrub your face thoroughly then rinse it. Follow this up with a lotion that contains both stearic acid and glyceryl stearate (or just one if you can? t find both in the same product). You should also be sure that the lotion does not have hard chemicals or antiseptics. You should ideally repeat this process three times a day. 4. Aloe vera gel helps the skin in a similar way to olive oil but with the added advantage that you can leave it on your skin for extended periods of time, such as overnight. If you can, it is ideal to use both aloe vera gel and olive oil (at separate times each day). When you take a banana peel and gently rub the inside of it on your rash, you will notice a soothing effect. This method works for rashes whether they were caused by rosacea, acne, eczema, insect bites or simple skin irritation. It will also help reduce the discomfort and itching that the rash creates.

5 Facts About Kidney Disease You Should Know

5 Facts About Kidney Disease You Should Know

Chronic kidney disease or CKD is the decreased function of the function of the kidney for a minimum of three months or more. In this the end stage renal disease usually refers to the end of the kidney function where the kidneys work for less than 15% of what they are supposed to. The kidneys play a vital role in the human body and if they do not function properly then a person can die. The functioning of many organs depends on the kidneys. However, the main function of the kidneys is to remove the products and regulate blood and water, control blood pressure, promote healthy and strong bones, and produce hormones.

Here are 5 facts about kidney disease you should know about:

1. Causes of the kidney disease: There are two main common causes of the end-stage kidney disease. These are preventable causes. These are diabetes and high blood pressure, but then kidney disease can be caused by other inherited diseases such as infection, trauma or polycystic kidney disease.

2. Serious Stages: The kidney disease has five stages and stage 5 is known as the end stage renal disease; this is the point where patients usually need dialysis or kidney transplant to lead a sane life. The stages of kidney disease are:

Stage 1 – Slight kidney disease
Stage 2 – Mild decrease in kidney function
Stage 3 – Moderate decrease in kidney function
Stage 4 – Severe decrease in kidney function
Stage 5 – End stage renal disease

3. Detection of the disease: Kidney disease is usually difficult to detect because of the presence of very few symptoms. Age, gender along with the blood test is one way to determine information regarding kidney function. The people who are at a risk of getting kidney disease are:

  • Over the age of 55 years
  • People who suffer from hypertension and diabetes
  • Ethnic groups such as Asians, Africans, Americans, Pacific Islanders and Hispanics

4. Signs and Symptoms: CKD is usually considered to be a silent disease and many people don’t know that they are suffering from the disease. The signs and symptoms of the disease are:

  • Fatigue and weakness
  • Nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite
  • Dizziness
  • Numbness and headaches in hand and feet
  • Frequent urination

5. Renal Replacement Treatment: This is the treatment for the end stage of the kidney disease. Dialysis involves the replacement of some part of the lost function of the kidneys and is usually continued throughout life. There are 2 types of dialysis:

  • Hemodialysis: This cleans the blood via an artificial kidney which is hooked to the machine
  • Peritoneal Dialysis: This removes the excess water and waste products and cleans the blood of the body by using the peritoneal cavity as a filter.

Skin in Summer

Skin in Summer

6 common skin problems you suffer from in the hot weather and tips to deal with them

Summer season is a hard time for not just the body but even your skin. As the temperature soars, the heat becomes unbearable, for both--body and skin. While you've trained your body to fight the heat, and keep cool; the same is needed for your delicate skin too.

The answer lies in keeping yourself well-hydrated, protecting your skin from sun exposure and reducing conditions open to infection

Multiple factors combine to make your skin irritable during summers. Along with the heat that puts a lot of pressure, is sweating. However, sometimes dirt and dust clog the sweat ducts of the skin, trapping the perspiration. This can result in itchy rashes, blisters or minibumps. Clothes can make them irritable all the more due to friction.

Prevent this condition by keeping yourself squeaky clean, if you sweat. Bath twice a day, particularly so, when you end your day. Use an anti-bacterial soap or bath gel. Keep yourself dry as much as possible. Rubbing the affected skin with ice cubes can help soothe the irritation. If the condition persists, meet a dermatologist.

It is not just your body but also your skin that bears the brunt of dehydration. As we sweat, we continuously lose hydration from the skin. If not sufficiently replenished, this can leave the skin dry, irritated and more prone to sunburn. Your lips may start cracking and dry patches may appear all over it.

The most logical answer is to drink as much water as you can. Carry a water bottle with you all the time, do not go without sipping once every half an hour. Also add a lot of juices and summer fruits to your intake. Fruits like watermelon which are full of water content are particularly good for the body and skin during summers. You can also seek deep hydrating treatments like hydrating electroporation therapy, oxygen therapy or juvederm refine to pamper your skin.

The summer sun is so harsh that it can scorch your skin, causing red patches, rashes that give a burning sensation. This happens more in people who have sensitive skin. In simple language, it is the sun burning up your soft and sensitive skin.

Logically, the only way to protect your skin against this condition is minimise sun exposure. At the same time equally important is to wear a sunscreen religiously. Apply a sunblock cream liberally all over your face, neck and arms 20 minutes before stepping out. Make sure you re-apply the same every four to five hours to ensure continuous protection. It is also advisable for people who have sensitive skin to wear clothes covering as much skin as possible during the day time. Ending your day with an aloe vera gel face pack will cool down the sunburnt skin.

The sweat makes our skin a magnet to the daily dose of dust, grime and pollution floating in the air, particularly if we spend some time outdoors. This combination of heat and dirt is a perfect recipe for acne and pimples to grow. The dust clogs the skin's pores while the heat gives bacteria a perfect environment to thrive.

To minimise acne, regular care should be taken to keep the skin clean. You should carry your facewash with you and give your face a quick wash at least thrice in a day or whenever you think it is needed to clean-up. Use a good facial cleanser every evening so that your skin pores are free of dirt; use anti-bacterial face wash; and end your day with a cooling application of multani mitti or sandalwood face pack to contain inflammation. Often acne might need medical attention. So, if your breakouts do not subside, do visit a dermatologist. You may need hormonal correction.

The hot temperature gives many bacteria and viruses a perfect thriving environment. The bacteria are everywhere, and you cannot even see them. People who use public transport, keep moving in crowded places and are much more prone to come in contact with multiple bacterial infections. Even the bus seat or window you touch with your hand may be carrying bacteria. These hands then touch our face, often resulting in skin infections.

Try to keep your hands clean and washed most of the times. Carry a handwash and keep washing every couple of hours. If this is not possible use a hand sanitiser. And give up the habit of touching your face with your fingers all the time. Folliculitis is a common condition when the damaged hair follicles get infected by bacteria, resulting in inflammation. To prevent this, wear lose clothes, avoid using swimming pools which are not properly disinfected, and prevent cuts while shaving.

When exposed to the sun's uv radiation, the skin's melanin reacts by forming a protective shield. The melanin results in dark pigmentation, either uniformly all over or in patches on the skin. The result is what we call skin darkening, tanning or hyper-pigmentation.

Using a sunscreen of at least 30 spf and reapplying is important, so is wearing sunglasses to prevent dark circles. To undo the effects of tanning, seek procedures like laser skin rejuvenation, chemical peels or microdermabrasion. Your dermatologist will suggest the right procedure for your needs.

Use this home remedy:- *Orange and curd mixture works well on dark damaged tanned skin. Orange has skin lightening properties and works well as a face mask. Curd works as the cleansing component on the skin and gives brightening glow to the skin. Mix dry orange peels with curd and make a fine paste. Gently apply this pack on your face and wash it with chilled rose water after 10-15 minutes. It makes your skin look fairer naturally. * mix cucumber juice+ tomato juice , then apply this on your face. Exfoliate your skin at least twice a week. This will help to remove the dead cells and open pores, thus lightening your skin tone. Always use sunscreen 20 minutes before stepping out from home. A good sunscreen with SPF 40 will help to prevent tan in the Indian climate. Drink adequate amount of water to keep your body and skin hydrated. A good sleep at night is also very important for healthy and glowing skin Apply Bio- vally's skin lightening cream.

Hi. My friend is a male 25 years who is dealing with a problem of white mark on his face at the lower back jaw region...
It can be vitiligo again. But still, you should confirm it by showing a picture or personally visiting a doctor. It could also be discoloration. In both the spaces, laser treatment helps. It takes a little bit of investment, but it is completely worth it.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath,
I have black and white heads. Should I be concerned and visit a dermatologist?
The eruption of pimples/ white heads, black heads and oily skin/ face are due to excessive sebum secreted by sebaceous glands and hair follicles especially on the face.. Precautions- * Don't scratch or pinch your pimples This will cause more damage and scars. .* Avoid fried and oily foods. * Prefer fruits and green vegetables. * When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. Your skin ?breaths? through its pores which are not to be closed for long. .We have good treatment in Homoeopathy without causing adverse effects.
