I am 24 years old and I am just joined in a gym to gain a lean muscle body. Some of my friends suggested me Multi vitamin tablets and protein powders. Questions is can I use them.? Are they help my muscles to grow? And can I take vitamin tablets and protein powders in same day?

Hello, i am 23 years old I had my gall bladder removed because of multiple stones in it, from that time when ever I eat something I feel some disturbance and I feel nausea, sometimes I vomit little amount of food, i'm very fed up with my present body condition, even when I get up in morning my stomach will be full of gas and I cant tolerate it, daily i'm having motions twice in morning, once when I get up and after having food I feel bowel movements, am I having any liver problem? because daily im having sugercane juice, and when ever I drink it I feel bit happy with my stomach,

Removal of gall bladder normally does not cause any problems. If you feel gaseousness, do some abdominal exercises and certain asanas like manduk asan and pawan muktasan, these should help. Also get your liver function tests done once to check liver function. Eat normal healthy diet and avoid smoking and alcohol. Excess cane sugar juice is not required.

Hello,Homoeopathic medicines are less invasive and have more herbal approach towards gaining the weight. There are a number of homoeopathic medicines, which treat the root cause behind the body’s inability to gain weight or bulk up. 1. Take alfalfa tonic(wsi), 2 – 2 tsp. Thrice a day, half an hour before meals. 2. Calcarea phos 200, 5 drops , once in aweek , morning empty stomach for 2 weeks. 3. Take milk, butter, bananas, potatoes, mangoes, figs, oats, soyabean and dry fruits. 4. do light exercises regularly to keep your body active. These homoeopathic medicines and dietary addition will increase your appetite and give your metabolism a healthy boost.

I have since my teens felt that I get tired faster than others. Had to give up sports due to poor stamina. Same issues continue. No apparent problem otherwise. However I have often felt that I have shortness of breath. I often get cough allergies. Some one said that my chronic fatigue could be due to poor oxygen capacity. However my pulmonary function test showed almost normal results. Is there a way to increase my energy levels? Grateful for advice.

You can feel weak due to lack of essential nutrients, not getting enough sleep, a weak immune system, excessive drinking, skipping meals, emotional stress, and too much physical labor. Persistent weakness can be caused by health problems like anemia, arthritis, hypothyroidism, a sleep disorder, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. In these cases, it is very important to find out the exact cause behind your weakness. To feel energetic and refreshed in life, you must exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, maintain your ideal body weight, follow a good diet, sleep properly, drink water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated, avoid alcohol and stop smoking if you do .

Hi, I'm a 20 year old female and I weigh 46 kgs I want to gain little weight I have recently joined gym Any suggestions regarding weight gain.

B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Nutrition Certification,Registered Dietitian

Do gym regularly and follow this diet - Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

I am skinny guy. I want to build my body to optimum level. Is gym is necessary? Or we can manage with diet. If it is what is my diet plan? Is it possible to gain my weight?

BHMS

Underweight is a term describing a person whose body weight is considered too low to be healthy. The definition usually refers to people with a body mass index (bmi) of under 18.5 a weight 15% to 20% below that normal for their age and height group. Low weight may be due to improper diet, reduced assimilation from intestine, illness, metabolism, genetics etc. Thus first we have to rule out any such condition, with this have a healthy diet with more proteins (legumes, eggs, fish, lean meat, vegetables and fruits, drink plenty of water and go for regular exercise. A homoeopathic constitutional treatment will definitely help you a lot.

Best is to take cow's milk and make fruits and vegetables as your daily eating habits. Please avoid non-veg and eggs as they raise cholesterol and very bad for body, mind and well being.

I am very weak my weight was 50 and want to increase my weight and suggest me to improve my weight and what to eat to improve my weight.

Certification in Diabetes Educators Program, Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Weight gain is muscle gain and not fat gain. In your condition your energy requirement is very high so whatever you eat is used as a source of energy and you do not make muscle. To gain muscles you will have to eat at least 6 meals (high calorie) in a day at a regular interval with a proper ratio of proteins and carbohydrates. Proteins will help you gain body mass while carbohydrates will help you give energy. Protein foods are eggs, fish, chicken, milk and milk products, meat and dals. Carbohydrate foods are roti and rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes. You have to eat vegetables and fuits and use healthy and good fats for cooking like ghee, cold pressed mustrad or til oil. You will also have to do some weight training exercise to help you build mass into the body. Also drink enough water to keep you hydrated.

These are few of the side effects one has to face while using supple, nets which hinder your general health. Go only with the foods which are said to increase nutrient intake for the body and provide with sufficient energy, some of these foods have been listed below for simplicity: Salmon Tuna Paneer Soya beans Soya paneer-tofu Eggs Shrimps Granola bars Cheese Paneer Yoghurt Walnuts Dates Apricots Anjeer Raisins Nuts and oil seeds Peanut butter Chicken breast Gaining weight is not an excuse to get fat and schedule daily visits to all-you-can buffets. I suggest you begin implementing one principle each week and watch your body stack on more muscle to your frame each week.

What is the reason behind having irregular periods? Sometimes its getting 2 months gap. I do not have any other problem in my body. Is it due to lack of nutrition? Or body weight? N whats the solution for that?

Daer lybrate-user, pms is a great problem to many girls seen before and after marriage. Irregular of period depends upon you body and mind status. Due to malnutrtion and anemia it happens as well as failure of uteri ovarian cycle. Try to take balanced food with uterine tonic. Your hormonal cycle related to ovary and uterus will lead you from irregular to regular. Be healthy. Ok.
