I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Rest. Ceasing activity for a few days allows injured tissue and even nerve roots to begin to heal, which in turn will help relieve lower back pain. However, more than a few days of rest can lead to a weakening of the muscles, and weak muscles have to struggle to adequately support the spine. Patients who do not regularly exercise to build strength and flexibility are more likely to experience recurrent or prolonged lower back pain. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. Also do a x-ray of the affected area. Also take Mag phos 12x for pain one dose when required. For further queries get back to me.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Sit with straight back and change posture in between. 2. Take breaks in between work and walk. 3. Do back strengthening and stretching exercises daily. 4. Take simple painkillers like paracetamol if pain is persistent. 5. Apply analgesic cream over back followed by warm fomentation. 6.Keep pillow behind your knees at bedtime. 7. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned your mri shows disc bulge and you are experiencing symptoms of tingling and pain. As I suggest to all my patients, you should avoid all activities which tend to increase you symptoms so if traction and other exercises are in creasing them, it is better to avoid for sometime. You should continue with modalities as of now, and supportive medications. It will be helpful for me if I could get your mri images and a detailed neurological charting including your motor ans sensory examination. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena

This depends on the state of your problem, usually in 15 days time your pain should have been better if the remedy is suited to your case. If its better then you should not take this further. If your pain is similar and Mag Phos offered no relief then also there is no reason to take this medicine any longer. Your case need a re evaluation and remedy or potency might be changed or both.

Yes lybrate-user ji according to your height your weight is much much more. Your weight should be 64 kg. So you need to reduce minimum 21 kg. And for that you need to go to gym and exercise for one and half hours. Your knee pain is due to overweight and not due to exercise. And if you wil go to gym only for one hour than you will not loose your weight. So to reduce weight go to gym for obe and half hoyears along with you need to take care of your calory intake. Do not take any hard or cold drinks avoid fried food and sweets. After you loose some 9 or 10 kg they wil advice you some muscle strengthening exercise for your knee. So its a long term program. I think will take some obe year.
