Suvarnprashan - A Boon For Children's Immunity!

Immunity building or having good immunity is the prime need of parents for children of today's generation. Due to hectic lifestyles, inadequate nutrition, exposure to pollution and physical and mental stress children easily fall prey to recurrent infections. It takes a toll on both their physical, mental health and development leading to absence from school for longer durations.

Common health issues faced by children:

  1. Lack of concentration and memory.

  2. Loss of appetite

  3. Irritability

  4. Infections like chronic cough and cold, influenza, digestive problems taking place in a recurrent manner.

  5. Recurrent allergies

  6. Physical and mental stress

  7. Headaches and lack of sleep

Recurrent use of higher doses of medicines makes their immunity further weak and they get caught in the vicious circle of illness and medicine.

Is there any answer to the above problems?  Definitely yes - It is Suvarnaprashan!

What is Suvarnprashan?

Suvarnprashan refers to a unique Ayurvedic remedy, which has been clinically tested and proven to give a boost in immunity and intellect among children. This is usually given to children who are aged between 0-16 years in the form of drops.

Benefits

There are numerous benefits of Suvarnprashan, which help children to lead a healthy and productive life.

  1. It helps to increase immunity

  2. It assists in the promotion of good physical and mental health.

  3. Improves digestion and physical strength.

  4. Intake of Suvarnprashan helps to improve attention span among children, their memory along with the ability to learn.

  5. Irritability, temper tantrums, attention deficits, and psychosomatic problems

  6. Prevents recurrent infections

  7. Helpful in children who have delayed milestones of growth

  8. Helps to stimulate a child’s overall development If given regularly, Suvarnaprashan prevents the occurrence of recurrent diseases in children by boosting their physical & mental immunity which is the need of the hour as we all would agree to the fact that  ‘Prevention is better than cure’.

Weight is normal for the age. Usually children don't eat properly during 2nd year. Give for worms and give all foods you eat.

I am 16 years old. I sometimes feel a sharp pain in my chest sometimes in the left side but more often in the right side. It pains for 8 to 10 seconds and then stops. I am fit and fine but only the heart pains sometimes. Additional information: I have acnes (like 2 to 3 are produced in 10 days and it is significantly reduced as compared to a year ago). Some hairs of mine have also turned white (10-15).

Strep throat and other bacterial infections. Bacterial infections can also cause sore throats. The most common one is strep throat, an infection of the throat and tonsils help soothe a sore throat by: gargling with warm salty water. sucking on an ice cube or a throat lozenge. drinking hot water with honey and lemon; this can also be a simple and effective home remedy.

A 13 month old can eat almost everything that you cook in the house. Make food without chillis and amchur and offer a variety. Give small morsels without forcing. Let him enjoy the tastes and texture variations. You will soon know what he loves or rejects.

How to stop breast feeding completely in a toddler.

MBBS, Diploma in Child Health (DCH), Pediatric Gastroenterology
Pediatrician, Delhi
It can be very difficult to stop breast feeding suddenly. You have to be firm and very persuasive. Tell her that she is now a big girl and offer her her a variety of interesting food, snack items specially when she is hungry and keep her diverted from the breast. Basically see that she does not remain hungry. Also, you can have some children come and play at home with her to distract her at feed times, or you can take her out to play. Children also crave for breast for remaining close to mother, feeling secure and safe. Offer her more hugs and cuddles and say how she can drink with a new sipper, how she can use a straw. Make the change over an interesting fun activity. But be firm, and determined and be ready to face a few tears.

My child of 4 yrs have repeated c/o headache. At the age of 1 & 1/2 yrs, he suffered from a 3 inch wound due to hitting of a swing. No symptoms of vomitting like thenafter, but nowa days he recurrantly c/o headache. Please guide me for that.

You have to check his vision and head ache can be sign of sinusitis and hitting by swing has no role. Ask privately with personal details.
