I have laboured my child 3 months ago through c section. I am having severe leg pain after c section. It is getting worse during nights. The pain is more in calf muscles when I stretch my legs.

1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. You must start ayurvedic medicines to 1) strengthen bones & muscles. 2) stop further degeneration of joint. 3) healing of joint. 4) release muscular spasm even chronic. 5) reduce swelling & pain.

Pain in musclesis a common condition. Do hot fomentation keep a pillow under the legs at night &/when resting. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5day caldikind plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days you will need other supportive medicines also. Do knee exercises it may have to be further investigated make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

I think I am suffering from pelvic dyssynergia. Which doctor should I consult to? Please help.

Pelvic floor dyssynergia is a condition in which the external anal sphincter and the puborectalis muscle contracts rather than relaxes during an attempted bowel movement. There is the sensation of incomplete emptying of the rectum. Normal bowel movements involves relaxation of both of these muscles. A surgeon can correct this.

small frequent meal, low salt, more fruits, salad have, avoid sweet, oil, butter have, tonne milk and butter milk.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. To answer your query, I would actually like to see a few blood investigation reports to understand what exactly is the cause of these symptoms in your case. So kindly get cbc, esr, crp, serum vitamin d, serum electrolytes and thyroid profile. Also best way to increase calcium is to take a diet rich in calcium like milk and milk products, fresh fruits and vegetables, keep your vitamin d levels good because it helps in calcium absorption etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
