Hello- You are suffering from erectile dysfunction. Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. Consumption of fatty foods leads to the production of plaque that clogs arteries and blocks the flow of blood to the heart. This plaque can also block the arteries leading to the genitals, interfering with the ability to achieve an erection. Include pumpkin seeds, bee pollen or royal jelly in your diet. Avoid alcohol, especially before sexual encounters. Be sure to maintain a regular exercise regiment. You can also start some aphrodisiac medicines of ayurveda for a heard and a long lasting erection along with these schedules.

Hello- Over/under masturbation both is harmful for your sexual stamina and for testosterone levels so don't quit masturbation totally. Its better to masturbate once a week (as it is a form of exercise) to keep your penis in good shape and to get the blood flow going properly. Consume healthy diet and do take quality sleep (10-2) in the night.

I got my hb tested. It came out to be 10.20. How good is it? What do I need to do to increase it? Plus I feel fatigued mostly.

Hello Your Hb value is below the average normal value of Hb in females i.e. 12-15 g/dl. To increase it, hence fight the anaemia you must change your diet first. Your diet should contain food that is rich in iron. Green leafy vegetables like spinach, dandelion green vegetables, meat, poultry, seafood, beans, nuts, seeds, chickpeas, beetroots etc are the best sources of iron that are required to increase your Hb. Your haemoglobin can be maintained if you take them regularly. Also, there are some food items that reduces the iron absorption by the body even if you take enough of iron daily. So, you must abstain from them on the same time when your take iron for eg, milk, broccoli, cheese, yogurt, salmon fish etc that are all rich in calcium which blocks the absorption of iron in body. Don't worry, Your haemoglobin is low but can be managed if you follow the proper diet and lifestyle as mentioned to you. Fatigue shall also go with the increase in your hb as it is a common symptom in anaemia. Take care.

Hello, PCOS or pcod s a problem in which a woman's hormones are out of balance. It can cause problems with your periods and make it difficult to get pregnant. PCOS also may cause unwanted changes in the way you look. If it isn't treated, over time it can lead to serious health problems, such as diabetes and heart disease. The most common symptoms are: Acne.Weight gain and trouble losing weight.Extra hair on the face and body.Thinning hair or even hair loss on scalp.Irregular periods. Often women with PCOS have fewer than nine periods a year. Some women have no periods. Others have very heavy bleeding.Fertility problems. Many women who have PCOS have trouble getting pregnant(infertility), depression. Regular exercise, healthy foods, and weight control are the key treatments for PCOS. Treatment (hormonal) can reduce unpleasant symptoms and help prevent long-term health problems. Try to fit in moderate activity and/or vigorous activity often. Brisk Walking, jogging, dance or aerobics are great exercise that most people can do.Eat heart-healthy foods. This includes lots of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, and whole grains. It limits foods that are high insaturated fat, such as meats, cheeses, and fried foods. Most women who have PCOS can benefit from losing weight. Even losing 5kg may help get your hormones in balance, regulate your menstrual cycle and can make you ovulate.

Mr. Lybrate-user, diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder, if not controlled damages small and large blood vessels, affecting eyes (retina) leading to blindness, kidney causing nephropathy leading to chronic renal failure, affecting lower limbs leading to unhealed ulcers and loss of limb. Affects coronary arteries causing heat attacks, affects nerves causing loss of sensation in legs, feet and burning and tingling and numbness. Looking at your age it must be t1 diabetes. Which needs to more carefully treated. So my advise is to star correct treatment and follow it up regularly without fail. Take care of your health, you are too young to neglect it.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have seen your query. It is not clear. Please mention blood glucose levels correctly as fasting, PP and HbA1c%, then it will be clear. Ideally when disease is well controlled fasting should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. As regards the pain in leftupper side of the chest, it could be due to muscle strain. I am not aware if you are exercising regularly, because some times certain exercises can cause such a pain due ti stretching. Since it is not radiating to any other area, it may not be related to heart. Still it is better to consult a physician and get one ECG done and rule out if there is any problem. Looking at your height and weight it is clear that with a BMI of 29.73 kgs /M2 you are overweight and closer to being in grade 1 obesity. This could be a contributing factor. Thanks.
