It is rather difficult to increase height after reaching adulthood as the production of these hormones slowly stops. In most cases, the epiphyses of the long bones are fused as the last bits of cartilaginous tissue in the bones turn into solid hard bones. This prevents any further growth in longer bones. However, if the hormones are released naturally, increase in height can be observed. Exercise is extremely crucial to gain good height as growth is stimulated when the body is being exercised and stretched. Apart from exercise, sports activities like cycling and swimming can also help in increasing height. The exercises given below might be helpful in gaining some height after the age of 25 years. ? Stand erect and keep your back straight and feet touching each other without any gap in between. Now slowly lift your hands up till your shoulders and hold it for a few minutes. Move your arms backwards. Inhale while moving your arms upwards and exhale while moving your arms downwards. This exercise gives an appearance of being tall by making your posture erect. ? While lying down on your back, stretch your left foot towards the right foot and vice versa. Then bring back your feet to their normal position. ? Bar hanging i.e. holding the bar that is 6 to 7 feet above the ground and swinging your body while hanging from the bar can be beneficial. The back should be kept straight while swinging on the bar. any queries inform me..

Dear Lybrate User, Dear Lybrate User, 1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice to drink morning in a empty stomach. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool.. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hair fall, whitening and dandruff. 3.Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt. 4.Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5.Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soya bean, sprouts, pulses and grains

Naturally our teeth colour ranges from pearly white to pale yellow so everyone cannot hv white teeth. Get scalling n polishing done by dentist. If you r not happy with your teeth shade later, you can get bleaching done by dentist which'll lighten your teeth by 2-3 shades. Alternatively you can use a teeth whitening toothpaste such as snowdent after scalling. Whitening gels used daily along with customized dental trays provided by dentist r also available in the market. Avoid heavily coloured foods, tea n coffee, cool drinks, smoking n tobacco products as they stain teeth.

My wife is 35 years old. Her FBS and PPBS levels are 267 and 384. Her HbA1C was 9.7. MBG was 254 mg/dl. There was also a Abdomen & Pelvis scan done. It showed enlargement of the liver 15.9cms. Hepatomegaly. Please advise on how to reverse these alarming levels. She is taking Zevit tablets. She is too young. She also breastfeeds our second son. Please advise. There is in ayurveda mention pinda swed. It is a type of swedan karma [phomentation] but it do some another manner. 1. Boiled a rice in milk then take this rice in one white cloth then tied it properly and warmly it rub on your face every morning for 15 days then stop it and do next month again 2. Apply almond oil on your face and massage for 3-5 min at night. By doing above thing you will get good result.

Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

Meet with a counselor and find out whether the problem is with you or with the others. If there are too many people who have a problem with you, it more likely is some problem concerning you. Then when the particular issue has been identified you can easily work on it and become a more sociable guy. You may have a rejection issue whereby you will set up rejection by others again and again and tend to blame everyone else but yourself. When you deal with the issue you will be a fabulous guy to be with, to love and to live with.

Dear Doctor, I am diabetic patient my sugar level is not stable, I had operation my spleen has be removed and galbalder also removed,recently i has been admitted in hospital near 1year they told pancriease is affected it in chronic stage.So you should take food lightly and also avoid fired items .Do to this my sugar level will be come us stable or not. It is because of adrenaline rush don't be panic instead feel that you are getting exited and energize to face the challenge. Body is helping you if you are too uncomfortable and unable to do a task in hand, do deep breathing for five minutes. It will reduce your heart rate.

Hi lybrate-user, you may not need to run but shld anyways go for small walks for 20-30 minutes at a comfortable pace to stay fit. Along with that avoid junk food like pani puri bhel puri samosas bhajiyas fried foods sweets oily or deep fried foods chips colas etc. Reduce your portion size while eating and infact eat every 3 hours so that your metabolism is high. This is how you can prevent fat accumulation in the body. All the best.

To maintain a low body fat and/or lower body fat: 1. Exercise at least 5 times per week 2. Eat whole/unprocessed foods at regular intervals, while being aware of physical hunger/fullness cues 3. Sleep 7-9 hours per night 4. Don’t engage in extreme diets 5. Stay consistent with your habits 6. Incorporate non-exercise physical activity 7. Ignore food advertising You need a fat loss diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, White rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water.
