Cycling, stretching of leg and some other physiotherapy. Herbs are useful but it is secondary. Start exercises and after a month ask for special, economic ayurveda medicine.

Yes it is safe to walk. You can even try walking in swimming pool in waist high water (hydrotherapy) for exercise.

I am 66 years old and under medication for B p for last 30 years and for sugar for last 6 years. I have also under gone a spinal cord operation for disc prolapse (l 4, l 5) 14 yrs before. My bp and sugar are under control. Now I am feeling numbness in my legs. Especially in night and early morning. Is due to b p, sugar or spinal cord problem.

X-ray must its arthritis so tk calcium supplements and heat fermentation twice a day keep a towel roll under knee and press for 10 second then release do 15 times in a once time. If it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment must for you avoid long standing, squatting, cross legs. After relief start quadriceps exercise in gradually process it will help you.

Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Consult after 5 days. For further guidance and treatment.

My mother is 65 yrs & she is a breast cancer patient. She use to take medicine like letronat 2.5 & ccm daily & osteofos 70 once in a week for the last 3yrs. It is observed for the last 3 months she is feeling pain in knee & tenderness in lower part of the leg muscle. Her weight is 62 kgs. Please advise remedy.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. There could be a lot of reasons for her pain, it may not actually be linked with her previous history of breast cancer and could just be degenerative arthrosis setting in the joints. I will advise for a fresh x ray (ap standing & lateral views) of affected knee and get her esr, crp, serum electrolytes and serum vitamin d levels done so that I can see and advise accordingly. If you have got history of shoulder dislocation and that too the first episode before 20 years old ther is a chance that you may have recurrent shoulder dislocation. Dear friend, it's good that you want to do something for fitness, but alas, This is very wrong approach towards fitness. You have to be fit to play any game. You can't become fit by playing game. It increases chances of injury. We call people like you - weekend warriors. You have highest chances of sports injuries. Instead of weekend bonanza, you should spare some time regularly. Even 20 minutes daily or alternate day will be sufficient!

Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Hello- tips to protect your spine (get rid of spondylosis) about 90 per cent of the population will suffer from back or neck pain when they reach adulthood. When it comes to the back, prevention is best. 1. Take short frequent breaks away from the computer. 2. Sit up straight on and off every 10-15 minutes, periodically stand up, 3. Walk around and stretch every hour. 4. Do regular stretching and strengthening exercises. 5. Keep the top of the computer screen at eye-level. 6. This way you will be looking down at the screen at a 15- to 20-degree angle which is less strenuous on the neck. 7. Adopt a good sitting posture sit upright and make sure both the feet are on the floor, and the elbows, knees, hips and ankles are at a 90-degree angle. Place a cushion against the back of the chair to support the lower back. When typing for prolonged periods, sit close to the table and rest the elbows on the table to relieve stress from the shoulders and neck. If you still facing problems thn contact your near by ayurvedic doctor, prefer herbal over chemicals, go green.

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.
