I am suffering from lower back pain L4 and L5 problem, since two years, is it possible to recover from this problem?

DNHE, BPTh/BPT, weight management specialist
Physiotherapist, Kolkata
What is it exactly lumbar spondylitis/disc prolapse etc? And also whats your age.How did it start? Have you taken physiotherapy treatment for this? If its due to degenerative changes then you will have this problem but it can be kept under control by taking proper precautions and exercising regulary to strengthen your back muscles. After proper evaluation by the therapist exercises will be taught.

Avinash the cause of most belly button discharges is almost always, fungal yeast, or bacterial infections. Once properly diagnosed a course of treatment including topical and/or oral antibiotics or other anti-microbials will be prescribed.try to prevent belly button infections, especially if you have a pierced naval by washing the area thoroughly everyday with an anti-bacterial soap.Do not pick at any scabs or scratch the belly buttonDo not apply antiseptic creams or powders, this can only cause more irritation. If discharge is already present wash the area gently with warm salt water.see your doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

Hello doctor. I am having white spots on my face. What should I do doctor. Please help me out. It is looking damn weird. your my last option for curing this. I need your help.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello. White patches/ dots on your skin are a common type of depigmented skin lesion associated with an infection, allergy, or autoimmune disorder. One common cause of white spots, or hypopigmentation, is a fungal infection of the skin known as tinea versicolor (associated with other symptoms, such as itching or dryness on or around the white patches). This fungal infection is not contagious and can be treated easily with over-the-counter medications. The white spots and patches can also be becuase of deiciency of vitamin D (for which 15-20 minutes of exposure to early morning sunlight without sunscreen is needed, 3-4times a week). Or else they could be idiopathic (i.e., without any cause). Please tell me other symptoms like about sensation on the area, since how long do you have this patch, any family history of white patch, etc. Meantime, you can start with homoeopathic Rx - Cina 1M/ one dose daily at night and Ars. Sulph. Flavum. 200/ twice daily for 20days (as it is safe). Apply a good brand's sunscreen with SPF 40 on the skin (specially the white patches/ spots) 20-30 mintues before getting out under the sunscreen and re-apply it after 3-4 hrs. Again.

Most of us are affected by diseases, which spread through physical contact, but most of us do not consider it important to get them checked, due to which they turn into major ailments. Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are infections, which are transmitted through any kind of sexual contact. The organism that causes the disease is transmitted from one person to the other during sex intercourse. Sometimes STDs can be asymptomatic (no symptoms or signs)

Here are some STDs that you should be informed about:

8. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS): The virus that causes AIDS is called HIV. It can spread through blood, vaginal fluids, semen and breast milk. Unprotected sex or sharing needles with an infected person is how the disease spreads. It includes symptoms, such as

Hi. What's your age? as height can be gained till 21yrs. Of age in males and 18yrs. In females. Start taking homoeopathic medicines which are safe to take without any side-effects - bakson's hite-aid and five phos. - both thrice daily and thuja 1m/ one dose once a week - take them for 4 months. Management: take milk and milk products which contains more calcium. More of protein (for cell multiplication) like pulses, legumes, sprouts, nuts, flaxseeds, non-veg, eggs, etc. Also, don't forget to take green vegetables, yellow veggies and fruits, seasonal fruits, salads, etc. Do skip rope daily, initially 10-20 times later gradually and slowly increase the frequency as per your capacity. Do get indulge in stretch exercises, and sports like basketball, volleyball. Last but not least, do take enough of rest and sleep (which helps in repairing of cells and cell rejuvenation). I keep depressed as my daughter's first marriage failed due to her wrong choice. She is V aggressive and doesn't want to listen to any one else. If required she even beats me. Once again she has fallen in love with a wrong choice. I want you to help me to remove her from that man who is still not divorced.

D.P.M, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Mumbai
Hello. I am sure as a mother it is even more troubling to see your daughter go through this situation and the feeling of helplessness can be very distressing. First things though, please do not allow anyone to physically abuse you no matter who it maybe and protect yourself adequately. Try talking to her when she is not distressed and tell her how you feel instead of telling her what she should or should not do. Try using statements like" I am afraid that. Or" I feel sad when. Please also seek help from a psychiatrist to rule out any depression and also seek counseling.

I am 38 years old man, suffering from back bone pain, diabetes (no medicine taken, weakness.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist, Delhi
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as your problem. If you have only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc if you do not improve in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate you further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. You diabetes will have to be taken care by a diabetologist or an endocrinologist. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
