Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Hello dear polyarthralgia due to deficiency of vitamin d3 is rare but it's now going to be common due to less sun exposure and less physical workout. As you know about your problem you must take nutritional diet full of vegetables, fruits, milk, fresh fruit juice s and add orange, lemon, amla etc. Start with light painfree all joint exercises with in range. Avoid jerky movements, heavy workout or heavy weight lifting. Walking smooth and slowly. After routein set for exs. Increase ex programme by strengthens the muscles.

You must go to doctor for check up. If there is simple injury then it can be cured by applying ointment. You must check if he can stand or walk then do not worry.

I have neck pain since 2 days and I use some tablets and sprays but it does not work. Can you suggest me what should be done?

* neck pain occurs due to wrong posture or due to strain on your neck muscle. Check your posture, do not bend your neck excessively and when you work on your laptop or computer after half hour of working move your neck slowly in clockwise and anticlockwise direction. * do neck massage with lukewarm mustard oil. * do not take pillow of high hight during sleeping or avoid to take pillow. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Back ache can be due to several reasons. It can be muscular, related to disc degeneration or prolapse, joint irritation or nerve pinching. Most common is muscle pain due to tight and weak back and abdominal muscles. Keep a positive attitude, focus more on keeping good posture especially when sitting for long hours, use lumbar support. Take frequent breaks and stretch in between. Try changing sleeping habits. Stretching and strengthening exercises for low back and abdominal muscles will help reduce pain. Try hot or cold therapy as tolerated.

Hello lybrate-user, firstly find out the reason for muscle pain and which body part. As age increases oyur muscle mass reduces. So diet should be sufficient in proteins. Some flexibilty exercises will also help like yoga. Make sure he does not get hypoglycemic due to total sugar avoiding. Let me know if you want further consultation.

Hi may be some problem with muscle and connective tissues. But if from long time may be neurological problem may persists. Daily do the stretching of hands palm and forearm muscles and relax them if problem persists then need to consult neurologist and may proceed to further investigations.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days,then contact me again.

Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day. Avoid junk food. Spicy food. Fermented food. Tea. Alcohol. Avoid alcohol consumption. Do pranayama early morning.

I am 29 years old still single. Even though I got a pain in back. My job is monitoring plant (edible oil refinery) by sitting. To avoid this pain n get relief forever give any suggestions. Last time I went for x-ray n CT Scan BT reports were Ok no problem. Physiotherapists suggested me that you need daily exercise. What should I do other than that ?

It needs to be investigated. Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

I was suffering from stomach got a tablet from a local medical store had it pain went again after two days it started paining now remember I had some chinese food at a friend party after that pain started to begin it starts I take a tablet it goes and after few days it again come back its getting repeated again and again.

Probably it could be due to poor digestion and please consult medical doctor for this problem. Drink butter milk and also hot water as a home remedy which would make you to feel comfortable.

Everything You Need To Know About Shoulder Arthritis Treatment

The shoulders are the most mobile joints in your body. Shoulder joints undergo wear and a tear over time and hence become unstable. Shoulder arthritis is one of the painful conditions affecting the shoulder joints. Arthritis not only takes a toll on the tendons and muscles, but also affects the ligaments and joints too. They usually cause symptoms such as joint pain, resulting in limited mobility.

Treatment:

Nonsurgical or Lifestyle treatments:

  1. Take rest or avoid the activities that provoke pain or change the way of your arm movements.
  2. Physical therapy boosts shoulder mobility.
  3. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or aspirin alleviate pain and inflammation.
  4. Corticosteroid injections in the shoulders can also help to ease the pain and inflammation, although temporarily.
  5. Applying moist heat or ice packs over the shoulders for about half an hour at least thrice a day brings relief.
  6. Drugs such as methotrexate can be administered in case one is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis (a chronic disease attacking multiple joints of the body).
  7. Dietary supplements such as chondroitin and glucosamine may help reduce pain.

Surgical treatments (if your pain results in disability and does not lessen with nonsurgical options)

  1. Join replacement surgery or arthroplasty involves replacing the damaged parts of the shoulder with a prosthetic (artificial) joint.
  2. Few mild forms of arthritis may be treated using the Arthroscopic procedure (minimally invasive surgery). It requires a surgeon to ease the joint pain by making small incisions to “clean out” the joint. A tiny camera fitted into the joint guides the surgeon through the surgery.
  3. Resection arthroplasty is a method that involves the surgical removal of the bone from the collar bone and substituting it with a scar tissue to treat arthritis of particular joints. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an orthopedist.
