lybrate-userji, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given and drugs being taken. Since you have diabetes, probably neuropathic pain and high BP as well as dyslipidemia, all these drugs are needed. However, there is no mention of the benefits if any because of taking all these drugs. You have not said whether, blood glucose levels are well controlled, (FBG< PP & HbA1c%), not mentioned BP readings and lipid levels. So very difficult to comment anything. To be free from most of the troublesome symptoms one has to control blood glucose level as well as BP. Plus balanced diet and exercise also are needed. Thanks.

Hi, from last three days while taking breath exactly just before exhaling I am feeling some pain near the naval towards left side. It is very near to the boundary of naval area. The pain is not continuous, only comes while taking breath or bending the abdominal forward. Please suggest. Pain is acute but not much high intensity. I am 28 year old Male.

MBBS
General Physician, Mumbai
Dear lybrateuser, - As your pain is there on movement of the abdomen it could be due to soft tissue & muscular problem of the abdominal wall - do not strain, bend or do any abdominal exercise till pain subsides - do hot fomentation of the area 2-3 times a day - apply pain relief gel twice a day, do not rub apply lightly - if pain is more then take a pain relief tablet after meals.

Having a pain in your chest can be scary. It does not always mean that you are having a heart attack. There can be many other causes, including Panic attacks Digestive problems, such as heartburn or esophagus disorders Sore muscles Lung diseases, such as pneumonia, pleurisy, or pulmonary embolism Costochondritis - an inflammation of joints in your chest Some of these problems can be serious. Get immediate medical care if you have chest pain that does not go away, crushing pain or pressure in the chest, or chest pain along with nausea, sweating, dizziness or shortness of breath. Treatment depends on the cause of the pain. To rule out cardiac issues. We Get a ECG and 2D echocardiography done. If they are normal then get a TMT done. You should get your thyroid levels checked also.

I am going through low sex drive and premature or say early ejaculation. What could be possible reason and solution.

I am going through low sex drive and premature or say early ejaculation. What could be possible reason and solution.
Hello, Premature ejaculation occurs when a man experiences orgasm and expels semen soon after sexual activity and with minimal penile stimulation. Men with premature ejaculation often report emotional and relationship distress. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe's Damiaplant/ thrice daily for 4 weeks. Management: Regular exercising keeps you fit and healthy, so don't forget to do it. Practice pranayam regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. Not to do these exercises within 4 hours after meals. One can have meals not within 15 minutes after finishing these exercises. These exercises are good for gaining and maintaining good health. Also, practice Pelvic floor exercise or Kegel exercise, consists of repeatedly contracting and relaxing the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor. It makes the muscles of pelvis toned and strengthened!

Hello- There are several factors behind low sperm motility and count which are acquired and not congenital (by birth). Since these factors develop due to infections, injury, improper life style and dietary mistakes, it can surely be improved with the help of herbal supplementation. I advice you to consult a ayurvedic doctor and start the treatment, you will surely be benefited within a month's time.

Most people use the term piles if they see any bold in motion, which may be just mild from minor injury in the excretion pathway resulting from constipation, or fistula or gastroenteritis and see in blood is NOT piles, in all cases. Piles are haemorrhoids that become inflamed. Haemorrhoids are masses, clumps, cushions of tissue in the anal canal - they are full of blood vessels, support tissue, muscle and elastic fibers. Piles can be of various sizes and may be internal (inside the anus) or external ones (outside the anus). Typically, internal piles occur from 2 to 4 cm above the opening of the anus. External piles (perianal hematoma) occur on the outside edge of the anus. The internal ones are much more common. Symptomatic haemorrhoids affect at least half the population at some time in their lives before the age of 50. In the majority of cases, piles are effectively treated with over-the-counter medications, a good fluid intake, and by following a diet high in fibre. In severe cases, the piles may have to be surgically removed. About 10% of patients who go and see their doctor about piles eventually require surgical intervention. Internal haemorrhoids are classified into four grades. Grade 1 - there are small inflammations, usually inside the lining of the anus. They are not visible Grade 2 - larger than grade 1 haemorrhoids, but also inside the anus. When passing a stool, they may get pushed out, but return unaided Grade 3 - often called 'prolapsed haemorrhoids'; these appear outside the anus. The patient may feel them hanging out. They can be pushed back in if the patient presses with their finger Grade 4 - these cannot be pushed back in and need to be treated by a doctor. They are large and stay outside the anus all the time. External haemorrhoids are called perianal hematoma. These are small lumps that are located on the outside edge of the anus. They are very itchy and can be painful if a blood clot forms inside (thrombosed external haemorrhoid). Thrombosed external haemorrhoid requires medical treatment straight away PILES OCCUR when the blood vessels around the anus and in the rectum will stretch under pressure and may swell or bulge. Inflamed veins (haemorrhoids) can develop when pressure increases in the lower rectum. This may be due to: Chronic constipation9 Chronic diarrhea10 Lifting heavy weights11 Pregnancy12 Straining when passing a stool. 13 The tendency to develop haemorrhoids may also be inherited. The risk of developing piles grows with age Treatments for piles In the majority of cases, piles resolve on their own without the need for any treatment. Treatments can help significantly reduce the discomfort and itching that many patients experience. Diet - piles can be caused by too much straining when doing bowel movements, which is the result of constipation. A change in diet can help keep the stools regular and soft. This involves eating more fiber, such as fruit and vegetables, or switching your cereal breakfast to bran. Water is the best drink, and the patient may be advised to increase his/her water consumption. Some experts say too much caffeine is not good. Simple things you can do yourself to help prevent piles: 10 Try not to strain when you go to the toilet Avoid laxatives Exercise. Ointments, creams, pads and other OTC medications - there are some over-the-counter (OTC) medications which help soothe the redness and swelling around the anus area. Some of them contain witch hazel, hydrocortisone, or some other active ingredient which can relieve symptoms of itching and pain Surgery - used for particularly large piles, or grades 3 or 4 haemorrhoids. Generally, surgery is used if other procedures were not effective. Sometimes surgery is done on an outpatient basis - the patient goes home after the procedure. Itching can be due to fungal infection and need to apply antifungal cream.

Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops. If you have a throat infection, or a viral cold then I will prescribe appropriate meds based on your detailed assessment. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines taking into account patient preferences.

You should not accept diagnosis from any doctor minus proof, specially if the diagnosis is as scary as problem in the walls of heart. Get yourself examined for heart, ecg, echo. If reports are normal, at 32 you can use prevention, so as not to suffer a heart disease in future.
