1. Start with Physiotherapy treatment 2. Learn spinal exercises. 3. Don't sit on floor. 4. Use lumber spine belt. 5. Apply volini cream before sleeping. 6. Do Hot fermentation twice a day. 7. Don't do forward bending. 8. Don't lift heavy things. 9. Take calcium, vitamin D 3 and Methylcobalmine supplement for one month minimum.

Hi my name is Adil, and i am 28 year old from mumbai.I jave had a slipped disc couple of months back. I went to a ortho for treatment he gave few medicines and suggested physiotherapy, which was quote help ful.But from paat 2-3 weeks now i am facing from in my upper back close to neck which some one said i suppose to be a spondalytisis.What is the treatment for it and what test should i do for it ?

Physio is not answer , doing to all back pain, you need to get MRI done of the exact place which only a ortho surgeon be deciding and then evaluating . Had that been only treatment you would had felt the result . Hope u getting.

If you have unilateral leg pain it can vary from a simple muscular cramp to varicosity to dvt to stress fracture or plain arthritic knees or ankles. However it needs investigation if it is disturbing you. If it is a muscular pain it should be relieved with paracetamol. However any other pain will need investigation. It may be due weakness of muscles or nerves causing difficulty in blood flow to your back radiating to your legs. Or it may be due to slip disc of back at lumbar reagion resulting in sciatic nerve compression causing radiating pain & numbness to lower back & legs. If your doctor did'nt reffered you for physiotherapy compaint him for misguiding you and not suggesting you the right treatment. As physiotherapy is the only treatment to save you from back surgery. You should go for physiotherapy treatment for it to reduce pain and to improve muscle power of back.

Dear lybrate-user, check for your posture. Backache is aggravated with unsupported sitting for long hours, lifting a heavy backpack. Sit with a proper back support. Avoid bending forward and lifting heavy weights. Start taking hot water bag for relieving spasm and stiffness in the back muscles.

Numbness is a not a good sign. Do regular stretching exercises for a week else consult a physio in person.

Calf muscle pain is quite common issue in this kind of situation. Start calf muscle streanthening exercise. If you feel good, continue that or go for a foot x-ray. We can discuss the matter after the exercise.

I am bed ridden with a fracture in left collar bone, right wrist and ligament injury (tear in 2 ligaments, rupture in 2) in my right leg. My next leg checkup is after 6 weeks and I'm advised to stay bed ridden until then. What type of tasks can I do in such a state that does not intervene with my healing and recovery? I wish to utilise my time without stressing myself out.

Actually as you are suffering from multiple site injury (under healing stage), doctor advised to stay in rest. You can read books and play mobile games and online activities (work from home). Please avoid movement by yourself. Sorry to say but it will take time to heal and recovery.

Dear Sir/Mam, My mom is having a severe leg pain specially knee. Please suggest something.
Improper food habits and sedentary lifestyle can lead to impairment of digestive fire, formation of ama (toxin) and vitiation of Vata (air). When a person indulges in Vata-aggravating diet and lifestyle, then this aggravated Vata circulates ama in the channels of the body and deposits it in the joints, causing pain in knees. U can try the home remedies below ::: Follow up after 10 days.. 1.. Go for fasting once a week. You can go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid diet to digest ama (toxin). Fasting should be followed by hot fomentation or by taking a bath with lukewarm water or steam bath. 2.. After fasting and fomentation, mix powdered long pepper, black pepper and dried ginger in equal quantities and take 1 teaspoon of this powdered mix with lukewarm water twice a day. This will help you restore your digestive fire. 3.. Take one tablespoon of castor oil before going to bed, once or twice a week. It helps in cleansing ama (toxin) build up and balancing vata. 4.. Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 5.. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling. 6. Take lakshaadi guggul 2 tab twice daily with maharasnaadi qwath 1 hr after meals.
