Do regular yoga and exercise to strngthen your back muscles. Always maintain your posture. Sit erect. Do not sit for longer duuration at one place. Walking for 5 minutes, stretching a little every hour or two will help you a great deal. Avoid heavy weight lifting. You can also take calcium supplements for 3 months. Use ortho friendly mattress to sleep. Youe uncomfortable mattress may be causing pain to you so check that first.

You should limit the habit of masturbation to once/twice a week do morning exercise daily. Also take milk/mixed fruit juice daily in your diet.

Dear he has osteoarthritis of both knee. At this age you can do conservative treatment and give him an orthopedic stick to walk. Avoid surgery

Hi pain in heel could be because of bony spurs in the heel. Get x-ray done. And wear heel cushions in the shoes, take ultrasound therapy and contrast bath in physiotherapy. It helps along with foot ankle ex's.

Hello, this type of pain is may be because of cervical herniated disc. The material in between cervical vertebrae" pinches" or presses on a cervical nerve, causing pain to radiate along the nerve pathway down the arm. Along with the arm pain, numbness and tingling can be present down the arm and into the fingertips. Muscle weakness may also be present due to a cervical herniated disc. You can follow these advise till you aren't sending me the detailed history and your all investigation report:- 1. Avoid heavy lifting. 2. Have balanced diet which is rich in calcium contents. 3. Have sun bath daily, to prevent further damage. I'll teach you each and every exercise, do's and don'ts after diagnose you briefly. Thanks.

What type of mattress should be used to avoid Backpain?
Back pain is one of the top reasons that people start to lose mobility in middle age. Pain can prevent people from engaging in physical activity, making it more difficult for them to maintain a healthy weight and keep up their strength, stamina, and balance as they age. So treating and handling back pain that results from injuries or health problems is crucial for staying on the path of a healthy and active life.

Seeing that most people spend roughly a third of their lives lying in bed, choosing the right mattress is essential for managing low back pain. It can realize the difference in whether you can sleep at night and function the next day.

In the past, doctors often recommended very firm mattresses. But one study, based on a waiting-room survey of 268 people with low back pain, found that those who slept on orthopedic (very hard) mattresses had the poorest sleep quality. There was no difference in sleep quality between those who used medium-firm and firm mattresses.

Soft mattresses, on the other hand, can also be problematic. While a soft mattress that adjusts to your body?s natural curves may help the joints align favorably, you might also sink in so deeply that your joints twist and become painful during the night.

If you desire to find out whether a firmer mattress would feel better than the one you?re currently using, try putting a plywood board under your mattress to dampen the movement from the bedsprings, or try placing your mattress on the floor.

Of course, you can also go to a mattress showroom and test a variety of models. Simply keep in mind that what feels comfortable for a few minutes in a store might not translate into a good night?s sleep. A more reliable test is to discover how you feel after sleeping on different types of mattresses while away from home ? for example, at a hotel or a friend or relative?s house.

I would like to examine you in detail & investigate. Anyway it may be tried. Do hot fomentation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1 tab od x10. Make sure that, there is no allergy to any of the medicines. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid, vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Always sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful. Use no pillow under the head. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days please inform.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Take low calorie and low sodium and high protein food. Don't take rice at night. 4-5 meals in a day in a frequent intervals. Take 1 glass of lukewarm water with 1 tsp of alsi powder in the morning and go for walk.

Hello lybrate user, refrain from consuming pain killers (analgesics) as they may have side effects that you are not aware off. Hand pain may be due to fatigue, exhaustion due to your profession. Mention if the pain is associated with tingling / numbness and refer back. In that situation we may need to get some radiological assessment done. God bless you.

Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture Most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Good evening. Well, it looks like osteoarthritis. You need to cut down on your weight and start doing some physiotheraphy exercises to stregnthen the muscles.
