Hello Coversyl plus is for your blood pressure and has no effects on your triglycerides. Triglycerides per say individually is a risk factor for future heart problem, stroke, pancreatic and should be treated. My recommendation would be 1) you should lose some weight as according to your height, you are 8-10 kgs overweight 2) diet would be the key, though you would know the do's /don't, smaller meals 4-5 times will help i'm decreasing triglycerides. 3) supplement like omega 3 fatty acid 1-2 gm a day 4) if still higher medication like statin / fenofibrate would be the medication of choice depending on your detailed lipid profile. Regards

Build good fats in blood by taking a spoon of desi ghee or butter and a katori of assorted nuts everyday. Reduce bad fats by taking a spoon of honey added to juice of fresh lemon. Take it on empty stomach every morning. Besides reducing your bad fats through junk eating and fried food routine simple exercises do burn the bad fats. Remember to take good fats within limits. Take lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits, besides giving vitamins and minerals they can also reduce the bad fats. Do get tested after 2 months only.

One non medicated stent was fixed in one of the arteries leading to heart nine years ago. Now there is no problem. Everything is all right. What is the life span of a non medicated stent? Whether let it remain inside or it should be removed out or it should be replaced? Please advise.

Dear sir, once a metallic stent is implanted inside your artery of heart it remains there for ever whether medicated or nonmedicated. How ever they do develop blockage over time. Which varies from person to person and other parameters such as diabetes, high bp, cholesterol, smoking etc. Some develop over a year some take 10 years but some never develop any significant blockage. It's less common with medicated stents. Once a stent is implanted it can't be and need not be taken out. It becomes part of your blood vessel. In the event of blockage repeat stenting or bypass can be done. If you are alright then you can carry on with your life and take your medicines regularly. Thank you.

To lose weight, you have to maintain an input-output ratio. Whatever food you eat contains the input calories which gives you the output calories in the form of energy. If your input calories is too much, you are likely to put on weight. The best way to lose weight is to exercise or spend the additional calories accumulated in your body in the form of fat. The other most important thing is to eat wisely. Try to cut down the excessive calories you are eating and make sure whatever you eat is healthy. Some tips to lose weight - 1. Have more fruits and vegetables than junk food and juices. 2. Avoid sugar as much as you can 3. Exercise 3-4 times a week. 4. Have an early dinner, preferably before 8 p. M. 5. Do not starve yourself. Eat small meals 5 times a day. 6. Have barley soup in dinner and avoid rice at night. 7. Drink lots of water daily. In ayurveda there is mention panchakarma treatment. Panchakarma means five procedure for detoxification of body in this five procedure for blood pressure you should do basti and shirodhara treatment. You will get good result so consult good ayurvedic doctors.

Yes one is not comfortable when oneself is suffering from high b p diabetes. And for that one has to take so many medicines which has its own side effects. Take out time for some physical activities such alike brisk walking, swimming, yoga, deep breathing etc. In diet you need to restrict all junk foods, refined cereals, spices. Oil which you can use is olive oil and strictly avoid ghee, butter etc. If you are non-vegetarian then you have to restrict red meat and you can have chicken, fish twice a week that too prepared at home. You can eat egg white and have to avoid egg yolk. Avoid peanuts, cashews, pista. You can have 5-6 soaked almonds and 30 gm walnut. Include green vegetables in Your diet. Team Nutrihealth.
