Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need replacement with removable or fixed (bridges & implants) type of teeth. Cost varies with dentist. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Dear Madam You should do a thorough oral prophylaxis from a good dentist and then ask the dentist to do polishing after that. So that the tartar reappearance is reduced and sensistivity also gets reduced. If you still have sensitivity you can use a desensitizing toothpaste and an organic mouthwash. Brush and floss especially that area everyday thoroughly. Do ask if you stil hav any queries.

I want to remove tartar in my teeth and also I want whitening teeth, please give me the toothpaste name and how to treat my tartar naturally.

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Dear, removing tartar will be possible only by professional dental cleaning. However it can be reduced to an extend by using proper brushing techniques and using specific mouthwash. Few home tips: 1. In a cup of water, add half a cup of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 10 drops of lemon essential oil and 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerine. Mix thoroughly to combine and store the liquid in a suitable container. Scrub your teeth daily with this mixture for tartar removal. 2. Apply the paste of vitamin c rich fruits, such as tomatoes or strawberries to your teeth. Leave for 5 minutes. Rinse off the mouth with a mixture of warm water and baking soda. This helps to remove tartar and kills bacteria in the mouth. It is better if you regularly consume vitamin c rich fruits in your diet. It takes care of your oral health. Whitening can can be achieved only when the tartar is completely removed. Dental office bleach or home bleach can be incorporated to do the same. Thankyou.

Dear Lybrate user, you are suffering from osmf. Time duration of completion of treatment depend on severity of the disease and your precautions. If you are taking tobacco or alcohol in any form quite them immediatly. Avoid spicy foods. And consult to dentist for treatment of osmf.

Do not use your teeth for doing something other than chewing food. Using them for cracking nuts, removing bottle tops or ripping open packaging can result in chipped or broken teeth.

I have had ulcers in my mouth for as long as I can remember. Is there a cure for this? What's the cause?

The most common cause for ulcers in mouth is constipation, stress or vitamin deficiency. So start taking vitamin supplements. Reduce your stress level. Switch to healthy n regular diet. Increase intake of raw fruit and vegetables. For local application, use either dologel or mucopain ointment 3-4 times a day.

My teeth hurt when I have something cold a bit more than usual. Sometimes when I brush I can see blood. What might be the problem?

MDS Prosthodontics, BDS, Medicine
Dentist, Mohali
Sensitivity of teeth is the problem. As you feel cold when you take cold drinks and all. Well you must be having decay/cavity in your teeth so you need to consult a dentist, get xray done and get filling done! bleeding. You need to get scaling & polishing of teeth done!
