Male Masturbation - Things You Should be Aware of

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Male Masturbation - Things You Should be Aware of

Self stimulation or pleasuring your self which will help you in achieving that ultimate pleasure is what defines male masturbation. The most common way of male masturbation is by jerking the penis while stimulating oneself in the best way possible with the help of visuals. On regular days, a five minute jerk before attaining an orgasm is okay, but on other days when you want to last longer, you can practice edging (slowing down right before an orgasm) for a heightened climax.

There is no proper time to masturbate during the day, but it is advised that masturbation should be limited once in 10 days. Because, your cum is made up of blood and protein, losing too much due to multiple masturbation sessions can be harmful for your health and result in lethargy, penis pain and problems during sex. If you want to deviate from the regular form of fantasising and jerking, you could try the following:

  1. Lubrication: Using flavoured lubricants will help your penis feel more stimulated as the foreskin moves up and down more effortlessly. This will arouse you more throughout the process of jerking and result in a better orgasm.
  2. Kegel exercises: Practicing holds and quick pumps will help the muscles in your penis become stronger and more relaxed. This will ensure a better jerk-off during masturbation which means more pleasure.
  3. Visualise/ fantasise: Instead of relying on porn during masturbation, visualise or fantasise a situation for better stimulation and a more heightened orgasm.

Masturbating before sexual intercourse is a great option for both men and women as it makes the penis harder in men and increases sperm mobility, while in women, masturbation can be a wonderful form of foreplay and increase lubrication. Masturbating before intercourse also helps in delaying the climax during intercourse. Masturbating twice a day is considered normal; however, if you are practicing the process more than the acceptable number of times, you could face ill-effects of over-masturbation.

The common side-effects of over-masturbation are:

  • Soft or weak Erection
  • Premature ejaculation
  • Penis shrinkage
  • Testicular pain
  • Malfunctioning of liver
  • Impotence
  • Sperm leakage

Certain Ayurvedic remedies can be used to recover from the side effects of over masturbation:

Ayurveda stresses on the use of natural products to cure the negative side-effects caused due to over-masturbation. Here are a few Ayurvedic products you can opt for:

  • Drink warm milk mixed with saffron strands to reverse the harmful effects of over-masturbation
  • Herbal extracts of winter cherry and purple orchid can help in curing the ill-effects of over-masturbation and refraining from engaging in masturbation
  • Shilajit capsules are all natural Ayurvedic capsules help in blood circulation and better mobility of sperms

Sir my problem is premature ejaculation when I am having to sex within 2or 3 second ejaculating.

Homeopath, Chennai
Check whether you have diabetic or not, I believe you are taking some medicine for depression. First try to overcome depression and lead a normal life then you can start the treatment for this. If this is the cause of yoour depression, then do regular mild exercise like walking, swimming and floor exercises twice a day. The do meditationa and pranayamam regularly for 6 months which will help to overcome this issue.

I want treatment for longer & wide penis please suggest what l do because I have small about 2.5 inches.

MBBS (Gold Medalist, Hons), MS (Obst and Gynae- Gold Medalist), DNB (Obst and Gynae), Fellow- Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (ACOG, USA), FIAOG
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
Penis size is something about which most of the men are obsessed as they don? t have proper idea about the size of their organs. But please remember, size hardly matters unless it is too small to perform intercourse. But when it is really small, application of oil/ drug shown in tv/ newspaper will not help, unless we can actually diagnose the cause of small penis and treat it. So, what you need is a proper check up by doctor to determine the cause of small size and then get it treated.

I am a vegetarian. Reasonably eat well, but my Vit D & Vit B12 are always low. Could you pl suggest some solutions. I am Male 44 years and weigh 63 kgs.

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition, B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Diploma in Naturopathy & Yogic Science (DNYS), Diploma in Diabetology
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
90 percent of vegetarian population suffers from vitamin D and B12 deficiency. So don't consider yourself the only one. The only source for vitamin D is Sunshine. Try exposing your body early mornings to sunlight to get it. You can also start with calcirol sachets once a week to get vitamin D along with calcium. B 12 is not found in vegetarian sources, so again need to stick to capsules.

It is for sister who is known pcod for the last 9 yrs. During her 15 years due to absence of period tk usg and diagnosed as pcod. After that she underwent treatment allopathy allopathy ayurveda n home. Till now its not gt better n she is having her periods only during medication. sometime she stopped her medication herself n had period in irregular last month she had periods 2 times even without medicine. But in this month no periods and consulted doc n taking obimet tablets. She is unmarried but our entire family is worried about having a baby for her. Pls help us regarding this. Thank you.

MD ayurveda
Ayurveda, Navi Mumbai
Hello this is not the time to worry regarding your sisters fertility as she is unmarried. But definitely we have to treat her for pcod. In the treatment of pcod instead of medicine we should mainly focus on weight reduction. Now she is taking metformin means in her body insulin resistance is already set in. We need to treat that. Then only her hormones will be in harmony with body organs and she will get normal menses. Pcod management can't be done at this platform it needs personal attention and care.
