I want to do anal sex with my wife .is it right thing to do ? how should I do it.

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- you can do anal sex with your wife but you should keep these things in mind. Anal sex may or may not be pleasurable for men but it can cause severe pain and bowel problems in women. Anal sex if done without wearing a condom can cause sever infection of penis as anus harbors numerous harmful bacteria and toxic waste products for removal. Anal sex done without proper lubrication can cause anal fissure in women.

Breastfeeding - 5 Benefits of It!

Breastfeeding - 5 Benefits of It!

A mother’s milk is said to be the most nutritious food for a new born baby. It contains the perfect balance of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals needed for your baby and changes to keep up with your baby’s growing needs. However, the benefits of breastfeeding extend way beyond nutritional value. Breastfeeding is beneficial for both you and your baby. Ideally, a baby should be breastfed for at least the first six months.

Here are 5 major benefits of breastfeeding.

  1. Stronger immunity: Mother’s milk is rich in antibodies and a number of unique compounds that help the newborn child’s body fight bacterial and viral infections. No other form of baby food is as rich in these antibodies. Babies who have been breastfed have a lower risk of suffering from ailments such as ear infection, stomach upsets and respiratory problems. The first milk expressed by a woman’s breasts after giving birth is known as colostrums. This milk coats the baby’s digestive system and prevents the growth of harmful bacteria.
  2. Fewer allergies: Breast milk is easier to digest than formula or cow’s milk. This protects the gastrointestinal passages from inflammation and prevents undigested food from triggering allergic reactions. Being breastfed can also reduce the number of allergies a child may suffer from in their later years.
  3. Healthy body weight: Breastfeeding makes a child less likely to suffer from obesity in their later childhood and adult years. This is because breast milk contains less insulin and more hormones as compared to formula. This helps regulate fat absorption. On an average, babied fed on formula put on weight quickly and are more likely to overeat in their later years.
  4. Stronger bones: Breastfeeding is beneficial for both the child and the mother. When a woman is breastfeeding her child, her body’s ability to absorb calcium increases. This helps increase bone density, especially as pregnancy can make bones weak.
  5. Builds a strong mother-child bond: After 9 months of carrying a child to term, giving birth may lead to post partum depression and a mother may feel the connection between her and the child severed. Breastfeeding helps nurture this connection and provides emotional relief to both the mother and child. For the mother, this experience releases hormones that reduce stress and relax the body. For the baby, close physical contact is very important and this process provides the perfect opportunity to do so. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

Hello. My suggestion is to get an ultrasound (pelvis) done to rule out PCOD. Share reports with me. For painful menses: Here are some tips to help you get rid of your problem: It is good to avoid fried, sour and protein rich foods in the last week of the menstrual cycle. Eat fish as it contains omega-3 fatty acids, which helps in easing contractions during menstruation Avoid eating dairy products, meat and poultry Maintain healthy and nutritious diet and perform yoga to help you stay away from problems If you are suffering from anemia, you should take food rich in iron Avoid vegetables like potato, eggplant, yellow pumpkin and try to concentrate on consuming drumsticks, papaya, white pumpkin, snake guard, cucumber and bitter guard When you experience pain, you can help reduce the pain by giving the area hot treatment. Drinking plenty of water and herbal tea also helps reduce pain and problems faced during menstrual periods. You can also perform yoga and some cardiovascular exercises that will help you get rid of these cramps. Last but not the least; take as much rest as possible. This will help you keep your menstruation under control. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Mag. Phos. 6x/ 5 tablets to be dissolved in ½ cup of water after every 2 hrly. till the pain lasts.

Hello. The way you are describing it pregnancy is unlikely but cannot be completely ruled out. So to be on the safer side get a urine pregnancy test at home. If negative just relax and wait for her periods to come and repeat the test After one week if she still doesn't get her periods If positive you wil have to consult a gynaecologist.

5 Habits You Must Follow for Good Health

MD - Anatomy, MBBS
General Physician, Gurgaon
5 Habits You Must Follow for Good Health

Healthy people follow certain daily habits to stay fit and in shape. If adopted by common people, they also stand a chance to gain good health by following these habits.

Here are a few habits for good health:

  1. Alter your diet: 70% of your health depends upon your diet and calorie intake daily. Add more protein and reduce the number of simple carbohydrates in your diet. Make sure the food you eat is fresh and wholesome to keep you satiated for a long period. Making small changes in your food intake such as cutting out fried and preserved foods entirely will help you lead a healthier life.

  2. Never skip breakfast: Several studies have shown that people who eat breakfast daily are healthier than people who skip breakfast entirely. Make breakfast your heaviest meal in the day and add protein in the form of eggs and grilled chicken if you can. Eating breakfast keeps you energised for the rest of the day and helps your body convert the nutrients into energy.

  3. Make exercise a part of your daily routine: Exercising daily will help you keep your body in shape and fit. If going to the gym isn’t your thing, you can opt to play a sport for an hour or go for brisk walk. Any kind of physical stimulation will help you build those muscles before you actually start shedding them. It is never too late to start working on your body, if you are determined to be regular.

  4. Get 6-8 hours of sleep: Most adults face sleep deprivation which leads to reduced energy and willingness to work during the day. Getting a good night’s sleep is necessary as it lets your body and brain rest and provides you with the required energy for the next morning. Also, while you are asleep, the fat hormone around your belly slowly dissolves resulting in weight loss.

  5. Practice good oral hygiene: Poor oral hygiene will lead to foul mouth odour and problems in your gums and teeth. However, you don’t need to worry about filling cavities if you follow the thumb rule of brushing twice daily. Also, don’t forget to floss when you brush because food particles might often be stuck between the teeth. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

How to maintain Vaginal hygiene?

Hello I am anuradha from dr amar colony market today we are going to discuss about the vaginal and the genital hygiene. As now days vaginal and urinary infections are very very common, so first of all I will tell about how to wash the vaginal area. Vaginal area should be cleaned once in a day during bathing not so frequently, so we should wash the area with soap . Whatever we are using only once and should be gently rubbed and not harshly rubbed again and again. And we should avoid the soap or whatever we are using inside the vagina it should be applied only outside and specially we should take care that we are washing this area after urinating or bathing from front to behind we should never use a jet or whatever water we are using from anus to the front.

As there are different bacteria in both the areas which can cause infection. And after cleaning this area you should pat dry the area completely to avoid infection. the vagina has normal healthy bacteria which may be disrupted by these things by washing so frequently or by using so much soap, it gets disrupted which can allow the infectious bacteria to grow there . so you should avoid these things to maintain the vaginal and genital hygiene also you should take care that you are drinking lots of water during whole day as now a days there are many chances of urinary infection about wearing clothes you should , preferably wear cotton undergarments specially white in color so that you should come to know that it is clean or not, and you should avoid tight clothes and clothes which are made of nylon or synthetic cloths.

You should change these clothing frequently if you doing any strenuous exercise or after any stannous work you should change the clothing as it causes sweat and infection. during menses we should take care that it is cleaned frequently and you should change the pads frequently as it causes infection and better to avoid tampons which is inserted may hygienically or unhygenicaly it may cause infection , so its better not to use tampons and use pads which should be changed frequently .

This was for today and if you want to know more you can contact me through lybrate at amar colony market .

I am nine months pregnant. Three weeks when I had blood diagnosis, the hemoglobin value was 8.2 and the RBC count was 2.9millions/cmm. My doctor has suggested orofer-s injection taken via NS. Now the haemoglobin value has gone down to 7.8 and the RBC are 2.6 What could be the reason for the decrease? What is the intended purpose of orofer-s injection? Should I be worried?

The advice given to you is appropriate as you r already nine months pregnant n injectable hematinics will be more efficacious than oral for improving your hb levels (in 2-3 wks) before you go into labour. Otherwise you might require blood transfusion at that time.

10-16 days after period strt date is best for conceiving. Specially ovalution day.in market ovalution kit is available to know exact day. But usually if your periods are regula then mid of periods i.e 14th day is highly probable day for egg to form. Egg life is 24-48 hr and sperm life is 5 days. So if sperm is alive it can fertilize egg. Apart from this there arr many factors which impact pregnancy. Consult to discuss in details.
