I am carrying now 7 months. My hubby is asking that we can have intercourse or not.

If you do want to have sex, embrace the ubiquitous three-word Nike slogan. As long as your pregnancy is progressing normally, you can have sex as often as you like (some exceptions may include a history of miscarriage or preterm labor). Be aware that it's pretty common for some women to experience bleeding during intercourse, especially in the first trimester. This is caused by the normal swelling of capillaries in the cervix, which can burst when irritated during sex. While such spotting or bleeding is generally nothing to worry about, you should still mention it to your doctor or midwife. What's more, there's typically no chance of hurting the baby during sex because the amniotic fluid and your cervix protect him. But one caution: If you have oral sex, your partner should not blow air into your vagina, as during pregnancy this can cause an air bubble to block a blood vessel.

If you have regular periods them 12-16 days of your periods are best time to get pregnant. How to calculate that is. Suppose your period date is 10. Then add 10+12=22. Means 22.23, 24, 25, 26 are dates when you can get pregnant.

Infertility Causes and Treatments

Not being able to conceive a child can be one of the biggest problems for a woman. Infertility also includes not being able to carry a baby full term. Infertility can have a single cause or can be the result of a combination of factors. In most cases, infertility can be treated but in order to do this, it is essential to first understand the underlying cause of infertility.

Let's take a look at some of the things that could be keeping you from getting pregnant:

  • Damaged Fallopian Tubes: Pelvic inflammatory disease can cause inflammation in the fallopian tubes and damage or block them. It can also be the result of a sexually transmitted disease. A blocked fallopian tube will not allow the egg to reach the uterus from the ovaries and hence does not allow you to get pregnant.
  • Hormones: Hormonal changes can prevent the ovaries from releasing eggs and can also thicken the lining of the uterus. Excessive stress and a sudden change in weight can disrupt the production of the follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone leading to irregular or absent periods.
  • Cervical and Uterine Trouble: This includes abnormalities like fibroids and polyps in the uterus and abnormally shaped uterus. These fibroids could block the fallopian tubes or interfere with the implantation of the fertilized egg.
  • Endometriosis: This is a condition where the endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus. It can affect the functioning of the ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus thus interfering with your chances of conceiving a baby.

Treatment: Treatment for infertility depends on how long you've been infertile, age, the cause of infertility and your preferences.

Some of the ways it can be treated are:

  • Fertility Drugs: Fertility drugs are of many types and are often the first step in treating infertility. If the infertility is caused by ovulation disorders, fertility drugs can help regulate or induce ovulation.
  • Surgery: Polyps and fibroids that are preventing pregnancy can be removed surgically to treat infertility triggered by them. It can also be used to treat intrauterine scars.
  • Intrauterine Insemination: This involves the placement of healthy sperm cells directly in the uterus and is timed to match the release of eggs from the ovaries. This can be used in combination with fertility drugs.
  • Assisted Reproductive: In vitro fertilization (IVF) is the most common assisted reproductive technique. This involves collecting eggs and sperm from the women and man and fertilizing the egg with the sperm cells in a laboratory. This fertilized embryo is then implanted in the uterus.

Is the gender prediction chart true if your planing to conceive and want a baby of a particular sex?

Is the gender prediction chart true if your planing to conceive and want a baby of a particular sex?
As the name itself indicates, these charts are just prediction beased on probability chances and are not accurate----if their accuracy was to be believed a 100% then I think there must have been a large difference in male-female sex ratio by now-----------so do not rely on this chart planning for particular sex of your baby but pray to god that whatever you get, it must be healthy-----------

Hi Matsya. yes one can prevent pregnancy if taken the correct contraceptive pills within a specified time. But its most effective within 72 hours, thought earlier the better. Anyone who is sexually active can use this. But it is always advised to use them under medical supervision as at times they can have side effects and problems which can become to handle.

Hi, pain and lump in breast can have several reasons fibroadenoma hormonal normal development or rarely cancer. Along with axilla swelling it can be lymph node which can be normal, infection or cancer or if you had a history of tb, then it can be that too. You need to review a general Surgeon for breast and axilla examination.

Condoms have more failure rate. Also you will have to stay dependent on your partner's decision. If you want a method which you yourself can handle, and with much more efficacy then try oral pills, the specific one that suit you.

Dear sir, your wife's hb is really less. It was less even at 8th month. She should have received injectable iron for improving hb. Any ways, even now she can take single drop, though the time for delivery is less. She may require blood transfusion in case ofincreased bleeding during delivery or lscs. All the best.

Hi lybrate-user. No need to worry. I advice you to make chart of years period date. How many days cycle you have. Normally ovulation occur 14 days before next period date. Example years pd come on 21 apr. Next on 24 may. So years ovulation date is 24-14=10. Normally ovulation occur around 14 day. If cycle is regular of 28 days. 1 day of bleeding counted as 1 day. Day 1-9 day safe pd 10-18 day unsafe 19 -28 day safe day unsafe means time to get pregnant.

Lupus anticoagulant is an autoantibody associated with excess blood clot formation. It is done when you have had signs and symptoms of a blood clot in a vein or artery (known as thrombosis or thromboembolism); when you have a prolonged PTT test; when you have had recurrent miscarriages. Heparin is given to as a treatment is such case so the clot formation is not there.

Hi. Thanku for writing into lybrate. Com 5. Feeling tired or shaky 6. Fever or chills (a sign the infection may have reached your kidneys) medications:- 1. Neeri syrup-10 ml with warm water. 2. Tab gokshuradi guggulu-2 tab daily thrice. 3. Tab c. P. Vati-2 tab daily twice. Tips:- 1. Empty your bladder frequently as soon as you feel the need to go; don't rush, and be sure you've emptied your bladder completely. 2. Wipe from front to back. 3. Drink lots of water. 4. Choose showers over baths. 5. Stay away from feminine hygiene sprays, scented douches, and scented bath products -- they'll only increase irritation. 6. Cleanse your genital area before sex. 7. Urinate after sex to flush away any bacteria that may have entered your urethra. 8. If you use a diaphragm, unlubricated condoms, or spermicidal jelly for birth control, consider switching to another method. Diaphragms can increase bacteria growth, while unlubricated condoms and spermicides can cause irritation. All can make uti symptoms more likely. 9. Keep your genital area dry by wearing cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothes. Avoid tight jeans and nylon underwear -- they can trap moisture, creating the perfect environment for bacteria growth. Follow this for 15 days, if nt reduces consult us on lybrate. Com.
