My grandpa is 60 years old. Two months ago he suffered with brain stroke. Quickly he is taken to hospital and doctors gave an anti clot injection worth 50000rs. He came back to normal by that day evening. My question is what steps he should take to prevent getting a stroke again? What to eat and what not to eat? Is it possible for any damage to his brain due to his first stroke? Do brain cells die during a stroke? He is a smoker cum alcoholic occasionally. Both are occasional not regular.

Your Dr. have prescribed blood thinner medicines which should be taken regularly. Healthy lifestyle is most important. Less fatty, less refined carbs, less salt, more fruits and green leafy vegetables. Raw garlic is good option. Regular exercise and yoga. Don't think about brain cells and damage which already occurred. Quit tobacco. Regular check ups with your doctor.

Hi, I am 33 years old female working in office. I am suffering from numbness in my legs & arms sometimes while sitting in a same postures for 5-10 minutes. Am I suffering from any serious disease which is just started or something.

Please sit in proper posture and move your body and joints frequently while sitting. Stand up and move around after half to one hour. Do regular walking and exercises. Drink plenty of water.

Do regular exercise and lifestyle changes. Eat proper nutritious diet and if not get cured then consult your neurologist.

Dear doctor I am 35 year male. From last 12 years I am Taking encorate chrono 500 mg, clonotril .5 mg, eptoin 100 mg due to epilepsy (JME. Recently lamitor DT was stopped. Doctor is reducing the dosage. Recently 3 years back I had a check up and found diabetic. I was consulting another doctor simultaneously and started taking both medicines. For diabetic I am taking metfil G2, Rozat F 10 mg and zoryll 1 mg. How long will neurons medicine may take sir? Taking diabetic and neuro medicines simultaneously will cause any problem?

You may require 3 to 5 years long course of anticonvulsants Medicine and then trial to decrease and stopping Medicine is done. If no seizures episode then you can stop anticonvulsant. No interaction normally occurs but be regular check up and regular consultation with your doctor.

Please suggest. Can valprol cr 500 and epilive can be taken together for seizures.

If seizures are controlled with one drug than no need of two drugs, otherwise you can add other anti epileptic.

I am not able to concentrate on my studies. I want to clear my exams and I am really stressed. I feel numb. I want some meds that can help me in concentrating. My heart beat increases when I think about exams. I keep myself busy with other things but when I sit free it frustrates me. I feel nothing most of the time.

Please get up early in the morning Go to nearby garden and do some exercise and pranayama there. Do some meditation daily with positive visualisation Eat some fruits and green leafy vegetables daily Change your lifestyle Discuss your study materials with your colleagues This will help you.
