Mu daughter has gray spots in her eyes from her birth. Is it ok or I should consult a doctor. The shots are in white part of the eye.

Mu daughter has gray spots in her eyes from her birth. Is it ok or I should consult a doctor. The shots are in white ...
Although These Grey spots are usually and due to child have thin sclera and pigment collects around where small blood vessels or nerves enter into the choroid under the sclera, the choroid is pigmented. Often these go away as the child's sclera gets thicker with age.But your daughter being 18 years of age and still these spots are in the eyes.So although it seems like it could not cause any problem but my suggestion is to get the eyes physically examined by a local eye specialist to rule out any deep seated problem.

I am 17 year old. My facial hair growth are slow. How to increase facial hair growth.
Some times it takes time for the facial hair growth. So do not worry. Relax and focus on overall health. A healthy lifestyle is the basic foundation for healthy living. Learn yoga for your well-being. Please do go for a general health check up with a doctor. Get some basic tests done. Please revert after that.

Is refined or double refined oil good for over all health. Such as Dalda refined oil and Safola or Rice bran oil etc. Some videos have gone viral on social media sites that Refined oil is very dangerous for our health. Kindly advice.

One should not believe anything which has been posted by someone on social media who is not an expert on health and nutrition. Cooking oil needs to be chosen carefully to maintain heart health and optimum levels of cholesterol in the body. I advise using oils or fats which are least processed and are indigenous like desi ghee, kachi ghani mustard oil, kachi ghani groundnut oil, sesame oil or coconut oil alongwith Olive oil (if you dislike the strong taste of other locally produced oils). Many latest studies point out the benefits of Indian Ghee and locally produced oils which have not been refined. But whichever fat medium you use, the quantity needs to be controlled. Also, take care that Olive oil should not be the Extra virgin variant as it should not be heated at high temperatures (as is usually the case with Indian Style Cooking). Do not reuse your cooking oil as this can result in the creation of trans-fat.

How To Maintain Your Diet In Diabetes?

How To Maintain Your Diet In Diabetes?

A lifestyle disease such as diabetes is never nice to have, isn’t it? Hence, when a person is suffering from diabetes, he/she must include something to his diet and cut off consumption of some specific foods to avoid serious health hazards. So, what should be the diet for a person suffering from diabetes? Have a look at the options:

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day as it kicks off the metabolism for the day. Having a large breakfast is quite important so as to take care of the body, but this only makes sense if the food that is being eaten for breakfast is healthy enough. It is quite a good idea to have some porridge. While it is true that porridge is a carbohydrate-rich food item, what it also has a great amount of soluble fibre. In fact, this sort of fibre takes some time to digest, so it reduces the pangs of hunger, which would have normally made a person eat unhealthy junk and fast food.

In a world of food that is processed, packaged and picked up from the supermarket, people are just not eating the correct amount of fruits and vegetables as they should. What is important to keep in mind is that vegetables are to be had in multiple portions on a daily basis, but these vegetables must be low in starch content. This means that for a person who has diabetes, vegetables which should not be eaten include potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas as well as corn

On the other hand, the sort of vegetables which are to be eaten includes broccoli and spinach. Spinach is also very good for increasing the level of haemoglobin in the blood. Also, making use of cinnamon extract is good as it has the potential to cut a person’s sugar levels by up to a tenth.

While it is not true that potatoes and other starchy foods should be completely avoided, a diabetic person should watch the amount of them that is being consumed by him or her. The reason for this is that starch-filled vegetables have high amounts of carbohydrates, which are generally responsible for raising the level of blood sugar. This is surely the last thing a diabetic person would want or need.

If you notice, strawberries have some sugar content, but they are a lot better than biscuits and other snacks. So in case a diabetic person wants to nibble on something, sweet fruits are always a better option.
