You maybe suffering from irritable bowels because of your tension and stress. Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer.

Hi lybrate user. A) apply paste of 5-5-5 ml of garlic juice, fresh lemon juice and honey on face with gentle massage, two times in a day. B) take 30 ml of trifala juice along with 30 ml of lukewarm water after meals. C) take 30 ml of aloe vera juice along with 30 ml of lukewarm water at night before sleep. Do all these things for thirty days, it gives you good result, reply me for further suggestions. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user 1]water- think of water as a food group in your diet. Always carry a bottle of water in your bag to keep yourself hydrated as well as active throughout the day. Sometimes we don't realise that we just need a glass of water and instead think that we are hungry, so drinking water frequently will save you from overeating but avoid roadside vendors for juices and unpacked water. 2] breakfast- never miss your breakfast even if you are in a hurry, it should be the heaviest and the healthiest meal of the day as it not only boosts up metabolism but also increase concentration levels and charge your body for the day ahead, moreover it will drag you away from unhealthy eating on the way to your office. 3]avoid eating at late night -responding to official emails and calls may demand your time but that does not make you eligible for snack reward, especially avoid coffee and caffeine-containing colas for peaceful and sound sleep. 4] avoid sugary drinks while socialising, read labels carefully and look for latent names of sugar like maple syrup, corn syrup, cane juice, glucose etc. Also, avoid processed and prepackaged foods to cut back on salty snacks. Sugar and salt are the main culprits for giving us bigger waistlines and, therefore, threat to our hearts, not only this processed food may result in constipation. Some food suggestions for breakfast; egg whites or low-fat cheese multigrain bread or roll fresh fruits tea or coffee with skimmed milk or missi roti curds fruits or idli sambhar fruits some food suggestions for meals salad with fat-free dressing soup veggie broth sandwiches whole grains lean meats like fish n chicken seasonal and regional veggies chappati steamed brown rice dals and pulses - sprouted or cooked avoid desserts or take small portion of it some low-calorie alternative foods chappati is better than parantha steamed rice is better than pulao replace fried veggies with steamed veggies try grilled chicken rather than butter chicken fried eggs can be replaced with boiled eggs lemon dressing is better than salad oil dressings like mayonnaise fruits instead of fruit juices would be a great choice why not try buttermilk instead of squash replace processed cheese with cottage cheese lifestyle modifications avoid alcohol quit smoking go for medical check-ups on regular basis exercise, exercise and exercise, at least, 5 times a week join dance or yoga class keep smiling, sleep early to rise early.

Hello- Weight loss can be due to improper digestion and less sleep hours. Try these tips to increase your weight- A) Avoid fast food and spicy diet an increase dairy products in diet. B) Eat diet prescribed for Indians that is dal-chawal-sabji and roti, do not try to follow western routine by reading some article on magazine or internet. C) Sleep at least 8-10 hours daily. D) Use these ayurvedic medicines- Shatavari kalpa 1 tsp twice daily with 1/2 cup milk. Hi, some time when I sleep and wake I find out my whole body in sleeping, even I am awake then also can't open my eyes and move my body and shout out also for help then somehow, I try to jerk my body by putting pressure on body and head after few minutes my body circulation start (as feel) then all thing become normal and it looks like that nothing happens this happened me 5 -6 times till now on various times, help me what to do?

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform

In the world of medicines, homeopathy has always been majorly on top of the preference list of many doctors. Although allopathic treatments are followed extensively to tackle illnesses, homeopathic treatments have also gained a significant position in the kingdom of medical therapy. The best food for summer is planty of fluids and semi liquid diet like. Lemon water or juice coconut water or milk rofza water with gulcose powder bale juice and orange juice vegetable juice tonned milk with thandai thandaai with water electrol juice like apple or guvava buttermilk sattu.

A glass of warm water mixed with the juice of half a lemon. A teaspoonful of honey can be added have it early in the morning. Do regular exercise like brisk walking (at least), running, swimming etc. Avoid sedentary and lazy lifestyle.

For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Hello Usha, You need to undergo an ultrasound done of your abdomen and pelvis. Irregularities in menses is most commonly because of Poly cystic Ovarioan Disease in girls Currently. you need to find out if you are suffering from PCOD and take steps about that.
