For full mouth implants you need to know the bone condition coz implants are placed in the bone. Can you post me your full mouth xray so I will suggest you more precisely.

Eating a piece of cheese after a meal helps in pulling away some of the plaque and leftover tiny food particles from meals. And since it contains calcium, it adds to the health of teeth and bones as well.

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist, Jamshedpur
To lessen the degree of pain or soreness in the mouth during the orthodontic treatment, you can gargle with 8 ounces of lukewarm water with one teaspoonful of salt dissolved in it. Swish it around your mouth and then spit it out. It will dull the pain and provide relief.

I have a deeper cavity in between 2 teeth its not paining unless very hard substance is for chewing. Then also its not paining but little uncomfortable. Which filling is best and long lasting. I heard that filling further tends to root canal. Is it true?

MDS, BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
if decay is deep it may go for root canal.... silver or tooth coloured filling both are good, if cavity is deep my personal preference is silver filling as it lasts long...

Hi there are various reason for toothache like worn down enamel, tooth decay, gum issue. I would advise you to visit to a dentist who can give you exact cause and solution of your problem after a physical check up. Without checking you clinically we can't suggest you anything.

I am having a bad smell problem and at the same time blood comes out of my teeth whenever I have food. Its been 3 months I am using glister toothpaste but as such no improvement. please advice me what should I do even when I wake up early morning a continuous bad smell comes out from my mouth. Help me out as soon as possible.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Astritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay.Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Ive been chewing tobacco since too long but now my jaws and skin has so much stiffed up that I can not open my mouth properly. If I try to do so it pains alot. My dentist told me to remove the last tooth of the upper side, Is it safe to rove upper tooth? Can it effect the brain?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Quit habits strictly. Seems like you have oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF). Kindly consult an oral & maxillo facial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need conservative or surgical management for mouth opening depending upon the stage of OSMF .Advise full mouth opening, ballooning exercise & side to side movement of the jaw. Wrap 25 to 30 ice-cream sticks, make a bundle, put it between upper & lower front teeth for 15 minutes thrice a day increase 1 sticks each day.

Hi Santhosh Bad breath is due to a high bacterial count in the mouth. This maybe due to bad brushing. Bsd gums. Cavities. Or poor eating habits. Will need a detailed history and consultation to solve a the problem.

Hi I'm a male should we brush our teeth twice in a day or just once in the morning is OK please tel me please or should we brush twice or should we brush in the night also please tel me brushing twice or only one time is OK please tel me plz.

BDS
Dentist, Vadodara
Its best to brush twice daily. But if you can't than take care of your teeth more. Forcefully gargle with water after you eat or drink anything. Limit your food intake to 4-5 times a day only.

If you wear dentures, general rule is to: brush, soak, brush. Always clean your dentures over a bowl of water or a folded towel in case you drop them. Brush your dentures before soaking, to help remove any food debris. Using an effervescent denture cleaner will help remove stubborn stains and leave your denture feeling fresher.

Hi, My front lower front gums/ teeth is bleeding since a year. It was from one place now slowly this is increasing it reached till 4 spots. Please advice what is to do.?

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS
Dentist,
Bleeding from the gums occur when the gums are irritated by tartar, vitamin c deficiency, uncontrolled hypertension, infection, problems in your blood. Kindly visit the dentist and find out the cause and get cured. Gum bleeding can be prevented by proper brushing, eating food rich in vitamin c, gum massaging which will increase the blood flow to the gums and keep it healthy.

BDS
Dentist, Ludhiana
hii complete absence of saliva is not a normal thing, along with thirst u may face stickiness, difficulty in chewing food and stuff, and even some kind of buring too. later stages definately gonna pose caries problems as well. so, better for now, icrease the water intake, sialogouges, try to wet ur oral cavity every hr,chewng chewng gums may help. keep a healthy chek if ur dietary intake is proper. try for fwe days, if still issue remained concern the nearby clinic asap.

I have a large ulcer on my tongue from 1 week. Difficult to eat and drink & Painful.

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
there are so many causes of mouth ulcers like- -Stress or tissue injury is thought to be the cause of simple mouth ulcers. -Certain foods, including citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables (such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes and strawberries), can trigger a mouth ulcer. -Sometimes a sharp tooth surface also trigger mouth ulcers. -Some cases of complex mouth ulcers are caused by an underlying health condition, such as an impaired immune system; nutritional problems, such as vitamin B-12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency and heat in stomach. . Usually ulcer heals by itself only within 1 week. You can take 'Becosule capsule' once in a day for 1 week for faster recovery. Temporarily you can apply mucopain gel over ulcer for relief..
