I am having a stomach problem I had an endoscopy 1 doctor told. I have hiatus hernia and second says there is a type of small ulcer whenever. I have food I have bloating problems gas feeling like vomiting and have started gaining weighty medicine is still going and also I have a habit of smoking 10 cigarette with tea Please help how to cure?
U need to stop smoking immediately Follow this-- 1. Lose weight. Obesity is the leading cause of GERD/ Acidity. Don't Overeat 2. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style 7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, Acidic foods, like tomatoes and citrus, Carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. It contains a lot of fiber which will help reduce tendency for constipation 9. Drink lot of water. 10. Take half cup of cold milk when you feel acidity, it will help. Curd is good for u. 11. Everyday preferably sleep on same time 12. Elevate your bed. Raising the head of your bed six to eight inches can help gravity keep gastric acid down in your stomach. Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, Swimming, gymming, walking etc. This is for long term results But for now to bring your digestive system back on track you need to take medicines. For that I need more details, you can consult me.
Hi, I am male, 35 yrs of age, 5'9'85 kgs of weight. I have been suffering from bad digestion since past 6-7 years, it was like I will have an upset stomach very often and easily, will have loose motions frequently. But since past few months it has been very bad, I have to take Lopramide to continue my work and it is like 2-3 tab a week. My Doc is suspecting Irritable Bowel Syndrome and a Colonoscopy for that. I do not want to go for the procedure now. Can you pl suggest if my diagnosis is correct and the life style changes that may help me? What may the reason for such a sensitive stomach? I have used Flagyl, Methcoblamine, L-Glutamine and Vibact in the past.

I have been taking acid reflux medicines for 6 months. Earlier, Rekool L 25 for 2 months, then Rekool 20 for 2 months, followed by Rekool 10 for the next two months. Can I stop taking the drug now without worrying about any rebound effects? I am a singer and even a single episode of acid reflux is a nightmare. Please guide me. Thank u.

I am drinking alcohol for past 1.5 years, some times I had that gastric problems also bile problems but for one week I suddenly quit drinks, wen I started again to have one shot my face became red body heat and my heart beat rate started increasing.
When a person drinks regularly, he gets dependent on the substance. This state is called Alcohol Dependence syndrome. As you had been drinking continuously, possibility is there you are having dependence on the substance. When a person in the dependent state suddenly quits the alcohol he develops a state called Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome, when the person experiences various symptoms like feeling restless & nervous, increased heart beat, decreased sleep, tremulousness, reduced appetite, seizures, hallucinations etc. Your feeling redness in face,& hot sensation in body, increase in heart rate indicate that you may be developing withdrawal. Now-a-days de-addiction treatments are available for quitting all substances of abuse including alcohol. As withdrawal symptoms are setting in, start treatment at the earliest before the symptoms progresses further. You will have to consult a Psychiatrist for it. Such treatment includes detoxification & rehabilitation program. Medical detoxification is the first stage of de addiction treatment, when the you will be treated with medicines. The withdrawal symptoms which occur on sudden stopping of alcohol will be managed through detoxification treatment. Medical detoxification systematically and safely will withdraw you from alcohol. Next phase of the de-addiction treatment is Rehabilitation program, which includes counseling sessions & other behavioral therapies. These sessions have important role in the de addiction process. Counseling sessions will help to enhance your motivation skills to stay sober, build skills to resist alcohol, replace substance-using activities with constructive and rewarding non substance-using activities, and improve problem-solving abilities. Behavioral therapy will work on interpersonal relationships and your ability to function effectively in the family and community. If craving persist after you quit the alcohol, you will be prescribed anti-craving medicines. To keep up your motivation high & to prevent relapse, better join a support group after treatment. Support group consist of people who had abandoned drinking, & help each other to stay sober by conducting regular sessions & meetings. All the best for quitting alcohol. As alcohol is addictive & harmful for your body, quit it at the earliest.
