Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -some physiotherapy treatment like ift current can give you some relief. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist. Please consult a physiotherapist for the same.

From past 2 weeks my left knee is paining. I can't able to walk normal. A bit difficult. Previously my weight is 48. Now it is 56 is that a cause. Since 1mnth I had my right knee pain but I took calcium tablets. It was ok now. But now my left knee is paining. Kindly tell me the reason. I'm suffering alot.

If your pain is that severe that you are having difficulty in walking then you need to consult a Rheumatologist immediately. Nothing can suffice a detailed history and physical examination. Arthritis of any kind will not get treated with calcium. It just maintains your overall bone health.

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening.

I have pain in my knee joint from 5 days. pls tell what to do?
Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling.

I am working in 20 degrees temperature throughout the year in day time for 8 hours average. I have esonophile of 5.7.i always feel that my hand and feet are internally collapse. So what prevention and change I should obey to avoid any kind of health related issues from the above situation.

20 degrees is pretty low temperature. I hope you do not have to face an air draft at your work place. You should take a hot bath in the morning. During the bath you should splash hot water on your eyes and forehead. You should wear thick socks and a muffler or a fur cap or a monkey cap to protect your head.

Hi Agnish, Do 15mins surya namaskar Asanas daily. Don't dirve bike for long hours. Also don't sit for long hours, During 9 hours of work, try to stand and stretch your body front back and sides for twice in every hour. Drink more water and Eat boiled eggs in the morning.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

After knee injury one should take proper care of knee joint. Like avoid prolong standing, wear comfortable footwear, wear knee cap when you are walking (if u feel that your knee is not stable and getting jerks while walking.) Last but not the least continue your exercises to regain the muscle strength. Thank you.

That is deficiency of supplements so tk this and for leg pain do tens therapy and ultrasonic therapy after relief do strength exercise in gradually process like cycling, treadmill ya cross trainer ok best for you.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
