I have a pain in my right leg when it is twisted. But there is no problem while walking. Why is it so? Whether it is a minor problem?

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. Inform after 10 days for further guidance.

I have achy and tired feet .i feel burning pain in bottom of my feet specially in ball of feet and bottom of heel. I am not able to stand on my feet for long time .my feet is also mild flat. By profession I am an engineer so mostly I have to do standing job. So what is treatment for this problem. Is customize insole can improve my feet. I am 28 years from past 4 months pain in calf and knee pain consulted doctor suggested me vitamin d deficiency taking tablet jointace c2 and evion Lc but the thing is pain has reduced but currently a sound from ankle and Calf when usually occurs when I fold the leg or stretch Is that ok or any serious problem?

Advice hot fomentation. Gentle stretching of hand muscles. Ball exercises. Wrist exerciser. Leg pain- for leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Dear Lybrate user it might be due to long duration poor posture as watching TV in a posture constantly for hours, working on Laptop/ Desktop in a posture for hours which may cause sustained contractions of muscle. Break the cycle in every half an hour change the posture. Do neck exercises warm foamentation.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Contrast Bath. Sports Taping. Gentle Stretching

My vit b12 is 958. Thats high. Is it a reason for concern? I keep having acids bouts. Very severe at times like it going to my head feeling nauseatic and heaviness in head. Recently after such a bout had severe lower back pain in morning waking from bed. Also I getting numbness in my fingers at times.

Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

I have a cervical problem. So lots of stiffness in my right shoulder. I do exercise daily but stiffness still. How can I solve my problem of stiffness?

Kindly show me a photograph & digital X RAYS of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit.D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

The pain is not in the shoulder joint. But at the upper arm and the pain is only when the hand is moved back or twisted.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. This pain can actually be muscular if it is not for a long duration or it could just be coming from shoulder region as movements at shoulder are causing this. If it is mild to moderate in intensity, my advice will be ice packs 3-4 times at home, gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol or one which suits her for 5-7 days, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake, intensive physical therapy initially with modalities till pain subsides, and then gentle strengthening exercises after that. We can follow this for 2-3 weeks and see if symptoms are improving or not otherwise we will get some investigations done. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. 1 practice all possible movements of your hand by placing your hand under warm water daily. 2 don't look for perfection in using small items with your hand like pen. 3 grossly you try to complete the activity like writing legibly. 4 then you can try modification when your joints ease with your exercise. 5 use less pressure at your fingers. 6 use items with more grooves for griping.
