Graying’ of hair is due to the gradual loss of the melanocytes’ pigment – melanin. In white hairs the melanocytes are absent. This is largely determined by heredity factors, hyperthyroidism and some autoimmune diseases. There are several homoeopathic remedies which give great result in premature gray hair. However, the correct choice and the resulting relief is a matter of experience and right judgment on the part of the homeopathic doctor. The treatment is decided after thorough case taking of the patient.you can Consult me for homoepathic treatment without side effects.

Which is the best cream or medicines for removing burn, scratch or any other marks from a body.

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy

There is no magic cream out there, it all depends on the scar, the cause behind it. In many instances you would need to undergo some form of procedure to get it removed.

He asked how can be decreased melanin content in our body or some tips for look fair.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
The black spots on your skin can be due to Sunlight and Traffic Pollution.Continuous exposure leads to production of increased Melanin pigments on the exposed areas resulting in the formation of black spots on exposed areas.Carbon particles in the traffic related areas bind themselves to Arylhydrocarbon receptors (Ahr) on our skin surface ,which are found in both Keratinocytes and Melanocytes. The carbon particles themselves ,especially when they are in Nano form, can penetrate into the skin and activate an inflammation related signaling cascade. This is not exactly proven scientifically but there is surely a visible relation between Traffic pollution,Ageing and Black spots on skin.It is presently just a speculation that when Ahr receptor is stimulated,it could be increasing Melanin production and this is how there is formation of Black pigment spots on Exposed areas. To overcome this problem follow the below given steps. 1.Drink plenty of water and always carry water bottle while travelling. 2.Always use a good Sunscreen on exposed areas 30 minutes before initiating a travel.Preferably use Homoeopathic BAKSON’s SUNCARE CREAM. 3.Apply a good Antipigment cream on the black areas at night preferably Homoeopathic WHITENING CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply in circular fashion at night. Natural Ways to get rid of these black spots 1. Lemon Juice Lemon juice has bleaching properties that can help get rid of brown spots. Plus, it helps maintain soft, clear and beautiful skin. • Simply apply fresh lemon juice directly on the affected area. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water. Repeat this remedy twice daily for about two months to notice positive results. If you have sensitive skin, dilute the lemon juice with water, rose water or honey. • Another option is to mix enough sugar in lemon juice to make a paste and use it as a scrub on your face, especially on your brown spots. Finally, rinse it off after 5 to 10 minutes. Do this a few times a week. You can also add some oilve oil in this recipe. 2. Buttermilk Buttermilk contains lactic acid that helps exfoliate the skin to remove blemishes and brown spots without drying out your skin.Apply buttermilk on your brown spots using a cotton ball. Leave it on for a few minutes before washing the area with water. If you have oily skin or acne, you can also add some lemon juice to the buttermilk. Another option is to mix four teaspoons of buttermilk and two teaspoons of tomato juice together and then apply this mixture on the affected skin.

I have a hair fall problem since last 5 years. Earlier my hairs used to fall like 250 strands per day. I consulted 6 different doctors, all ayurvedic, homeopathic and alopathic but nothing worked. Now when my hair volume has reached to 1/4 of the actual, and I am suffering from. Excess hair loss and hair thinning problem. The hair fall level has reached to 25-30 strands per day now but hair growth is. Not seen and the hair thinning issue is still increasing day by day. As doctors asked to have blood tests done to check the thyroid, ferritin, testosterone. The major problem came. Out to be ferritin and testosterone. The ferritin level was 4 earlier which is below the limit and testosterone level came beyond the limit. Though, now my ferritin level is 15 (within limit) but the testosterone is still beyond the level. Also I start loosing my hair and small hair growth is noticed on my chin. As I came to know that testosterone is also one of the major causes of hair fall and hair growth in unwanted areas. Even the unbalance level of testosterone is because of some other hormonal disbalance, I read. So I want to know what can be the major issue. And is there any treatment to such problem?

Hair fall may be attributed to different reasons like using artificial colors, hair styling, chemicals etc. It may be due to some internal weakness also. Please go for herbal neem shampoo. Use shikakai and amla as conditioner (soak amla and shikakai in water overnight and boil a little in morning). Apply it on hairs. Keep for half an hour and then wash. It will condition the hairs.

Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. Best of luck!!

Must Know Risk Factors and Complication of Scabies

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, MBBS

Must Know Risk Factors and Complication of Scabies

Scabies is a type of skin conditions that causes itching and rashes. This dermatological condition is caused by Sarcoptes scabiei, a microscopic mite. It is a contagious condition, which can spread through physical contact. An estimate shows that scabies infects over 300 million people worldwide per year.

This eight-legged microscopic mite creates a tunnel in the human skin and lays eggs in it. These larvae move under the surface of the skin and spread across the whole body, once hatched. Dogs, cats, and mice can also be affected by this disease. It usually takes 2-6 weeks for the symptoms to develop. Signs and symptoms of scabies involve itching, rashes, sores and thick crusts on the surface of the skin.

Some of the risk factors of scabies are:

- Scabies spreads through direct, prolonged skin-to-skin contact with a person who has mites.
- An infected person can easily pass scabies to his/her household or sexual partners. Scabies in adults is usually sexually acquired.
- The likelihood of scabies increases easily under crowded conditions, which involve close body and skin contact. Nursing homes, prisons, and several types of care facilities are sites of scabies outbreaks.
- Immunocompromised, elderly and disabled people also suffer from an increased likelihood of contracting this skin condition.

Complications of scabies include:

- Persistent and vigorous scratching can break the surface of your skin, which can lead to secondary bacterial infections. Impetigo, a superficial infection, is a quite common occurrence in such cases.
- Crusted scabies, the most severe form of scabies, can be common in certain groups. People suffering from diseases such as HIV or leukemia who have weakened immune systems as well as severely ill people have high risks of contracting this condition. This condition, also known as Norwegian scabies, is very contagious and also hard to cure.

You may be suffering from androgenic alopecia or which is also called as pattern baldness. This is usually progressive throughout life unless treated. The FDA approved treatment for this condition is minoxidil. There is no other alternative. You can also go for platelet rich plasma therapy for faster results. Please consult me with photos or a nearby Dermatologist for proper examination and treatment.
