Bleeding gum is due to various reasons for example:- -tooth infection -diabetes mellitus -iron overload -malnutrition -harmonal imbalance -use of aspirin and anticoagulants etc. I advice you visit a dentist once in every 3-4 month for plaque removal. Use soft bristle tooth-brush. Use floss twice a day it prevent plaque formation. Tooth paste with triclosan should be used. Use anti-plaque mouthwash two times in a day for 15 days. A balanced healthy diet should be taken.

Doctors give calculated dose of anesthesia as per the body weight of a person to avoid any adverse effect. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Dry mouth may result from less salivation in to your mouth because of dehydration, very less jaw movements. It may also result from mouth breathing, that we do unknowingly while sleeping. Drink good amount of water, jaw movements while talking causes salivation. Ask someone to observe you while sleeping. If you have mouth breathing, there are certain appliances to manage it. You can contact for that.

Hello, your case appears to be that of a failed root canal treatment (rct). Ideally, in an rct-treated tooth, there is no vital tissue or nerve that can cause pain. However, in your case, it seems as if the procedure was not done properly. Taking pain killers will only provide transient relief. Most likely, you will be required to undergo a re-rct to get permanent riddance from this problem. Before initiating the re-rct, however, you will be required to take a 3-day course of medication.

Dental myths related to senior citizens

BDS, MDS
Dentist,
Dental myths related to senior citizens
This is due to lack of awareness about oral health and hygiene
Myth 1: Tooth Loss Is a Normal Part of Aging Process - The fact is that tooth loss is a result of an oral disease, not the aging process
Myth 2: When You Grow Old You Get Dry Mouth - Absolutely Incorrect. Dry mouth (Xerostomia) issues can affect people of all ages, but it is more prevalent in old age mainly due to the medications (decongestants, antihistamines, diuretics and antidepressants) that are consumed for various other health concerns.
Myth 3:Bleeding Gums Are Normal While Aging – Not true. Gum bleeding can occur due to various factors like gum diseases, pockets and it is not related only to aging.
Myth 4: Periodontal Disease Cannot Be Treated in Elders - False. With the combination of scaling to eliminate hardened plaque and infected gum tissue and antibiotics periodontal cases are treated successfully.

I used to brush every day two times well. And I never smoked. But my teeth are yellowish, what should I do?

BDS

I used to brush every day two times well. And I never smoked. But my teeth are yellowish, what should I do?
Adult teeth are not milky white, they have a slight yellowish tinge. If you feel they are more yellowish then it may be due to stains or hardened debris present. Apart from smoking your dietary habits may also cause stains. Please get your teeth professionally cleaned by a dentist. If you are not satisfied with the results of cleaning go for bleaching of teeth.

I have regular problem of teeth. My teeth are deteriorating or i can say gradually breaking the teeth wall and i have multiple cavities. Is there any way i can avoid all these. First off all a picture of your teeth will revel many things. But without seeing your teeth I can only tell you to keep cleaning n get cavities filled bcz I can't comment blindly on ortho treatment without having seen teeth photographs
