Hye, thanks for the query. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

Trichotillomania is an obsessive compulsive disorder characterized by the compulsive urge to pull out one's own hair, leading to hair loss and balding, distress, and social or functional impairment.--------------------Trichotillomania disorder is usually prevalent in age group 9 to 13. It may be triggered by depression or stress. This disorder is often unreported due to social indiscrimination and it is difficult to accurately predict its prevalence; the lifetime prevalence is estimated to be between 0.6% and 4.0% of the overall population.-------------------Common areas for hair to be pulled out are the scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, legs, arms, hands, nose and the pubic areas.--------------Habit reversal training is the primary psychotherapy for trichotillomania. This type of therapy helps you learn how to recognize situations where you're likely to pull hair and how to substitute other behaviors instead. For example, you might clench your fists for a period to" freeze" the urge, or redirect your hand from your hair to your ear. Avoid tea/coffee alcohol, smoking spicy food. Life style changes and food habbits can solve your problem easily. Chew your food properly. Avoid outside food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy done. Take Sulphur 6C one dose now, 2nd dose tomorrow morning and 3rd dose tomorrow evening. And then take Cosmos 30C 2 doses daily for 3 days. It will be getting relieving from tomorrow evening itself and completely alright within 3-4 days. Take care :)

Hello Lybrate user. Skin is also a part of your body system. For a healthy skin you must keep yourself healthy from inside. Eat healthy food which must include adequate protein, moderate carbohydrate and less fat. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, milk, egg white, rajma,soybean, almonds in your diet. Regular exercise and proper sleep is must. At least 10 - 12 glass of water per day is must. Avoid too much of cosmetic products to your skin.

Commonly dandruff or any other infection and lack of hair nourishment are the main causes for hair fall. This requires both local application for dandruff or any other infection and local massage with oil to increase circulation and internal consumption of herbal preparations as nutrients for hair growth. In young age the results are more positive.

Everyday I wake feeling good and Sharp. Get Ready to Office, and the Problem start post afternoon I start to crash. I feel a heaviness in my eyes, and I can't focus and think as clearly. I necessarily feel very tired, Some time I feel some body is pushing me when I am in my seat. I battle this feeling everyday, all day. This following me for past 6 years , I have consulted many Dr.(ENT, NEuro,Eye) but still the problem yet to identify. It's awful, and I have been dealing with this for these years. *I eat and sleep well. I exercise. I have had basic blood tests with normal results. I'm starting to feel like I can't have a future feeling this way. I don't have motivation to do anything. The simplest tasks seem difficult more over my family is in very hard feeling. Hye, Thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism along with your daily diet and exercise routine. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Weight gain is all about taking more calories than you burn. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. There is no one food that helps weight gain. Eat meals at frequent intervals. You need to eat at least 6 main and mid meals a day. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits, dry fruits, starchy vegetables, rice, bread, whole grain cereals, smoothies, masala milk, ghee, cream in your meals. Just eating sugary, sweet foods is not good. Try to have healthy deserts like kheer, chikki or lassi. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. It helps development of muscle mass and improves appetite. Even if you were to take just medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation. You need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal and good exercise routine, it's crucial.

1.Take bland diet, Avoid foods which cause acidity like spicy, oily, fatty and junk foods, onion, garlic, citrus fruit, tomato etc 2..Have proper Breakfast, Don’t skip or postpone your meal, Take home made food, Avoid food and water from outside, 3.Eat smaller meals at frequent intervals like 5-6 meals per day, and don't overeat. 4.Drink plenty of water. Take your meal regularly and timely. Avoid fasting, Don’t skip your breakfast. 5. Stop smoking, consumption of alcohol and tobacco, excess tea or coffee if you are having, 7. Avoid stress 8.
