Please note the following in respect to your queries: there can be many reasons behind your hair fall - like mental worries, nutritional deficiency, hereditary and anemia. Take homeopathic medicine acid phos 1m/single dose (5 drops in little water) and revert after 2 weeks. Apply jaborandi hair oil. Also use arnica shampoo. Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. Add more vitamin rich food to your diet. Avoid stress and anger by meditation. Cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. Take sound/good sleep. Avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight/ hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends.

People of any age can have problems with blackheads on their skin, but most often it is an issue during the teenage and adolescent years. The combination of oatmeal and yogurt is great for keeping your skin free of blackheads. 1. Mix one teaspoon honey and the juice of four tomatoes in sufficient oatmeal to make a paste. 2. Scrub it on your skin. 3. Wash it off after 10 minutes. 4. Repeat regularly for clear skin. You can also make a paste by mixing together two tablespoons of oatmeal, three tablespoons of plain yogurt, and small amounts of lemon juice and olive oil. Apply the paste to your entire face, leave for a few minutes and then rinse your face with water. Any querries inform me.

Premature graying of hair is often a great concern for younger adults in their 20s or 30s as gray hair make them look much older than they are. The problem can be caused by factors like poor nutrition, hormonal fluctuations, smoking, pollution, stress, use of unsuitable hair products, and certain diseases such as chronic colds, sinusitis, and thyroid disorders. Dietary and regimen advice: curry leaves help increase darker pigmentation in your hair. When combined with coconut oil, it works as a great hair tonic. Boil a handful of fresh curry leaves in a tablespoon of coconut oil until they become charred. Strain the oil. Massage it into your hair. Leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes before rinsing it out. Follow this treatment at least once or twice a week. In addition, you can consume curry juice daily. Coconut oil and lemon juice coconut oil works wonders for your hair. It moisturizes your hair, stimulates hair growth, fights infections, and adds luster to your hair. When used for a prolonged time, it also helps reverse gray hair because it is packed with antioxidants. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice in some coconut oil, enough for the length of your hair. Apply it to your hair and massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for at least an hour before shampooing your hair. Repeat on a weekly basis. Homoeopathic medicines are also gives wonderful results in premature greyness of hair. If any queary feel free to ask.

Acne and Acne Scars

Acne and Acne Scars

If you see signs that your acne is leaving a scar on your skin, you don't have to grin and bear it. There are lots of ways to heal your scars and keep new ones from forming.

Homeopathy offers very safe and natural treatment for acne. Homeopathic medicines for acne work internally, in a very gentle and effective way, without any harsh external applications. Rather than suppress acne, Homeopathic medicines treat the condition at the root. These medicines, which are safe from any adverse side effects, are prescribed after a thorough in-depth analysis of symptoms.

What is acne?

Acne, better known as pimples, is a common skin condition deeply affecting the teens. Its emotional impact is severe, ranging from distress to poor self-image and self-esteem. The cause of acne: clogging of pores with dead skin cells and oil (sebum). Acne may be mild to severe in nature. Severe acne often leads to formation of scars.

Why do we get acne at all?

The primary cause of acne is the rise in level of hormone androgen in the body. Androgen levels rise around the age of adolescence. Androgen activates the sebaceous (oil) glands under the skin and makes them grow bigger and produce excess oil. The hair follicles get plugged with this oil and dead skin cells, giving the bacteria a chance to thrive and cause acne. The medical term for acne is acne vulgaris.

Stress causes acne, but can chocolates too lead to a break-out?

Yes, many factors can trigger acne. Stress, dietary factors such as dairy and chocolates, oil-based skin cosmetics, loss of sleep, hormonal changes, irregular menstrual cycles, drugs like cortisone and hormone replacement pills are a few.

At what point do we need to seek medical advice?

Acne or pimples are normal among teens and do not need medical attention as long as they are small and do not have attending symptoms. These usually clear off on their own. However, if the acne are large, severe, pustular, itchy, very painful and are leaving scars, it’s time to consult a skin doctor.

Can adults, too, get acne?

Acne begins around puberty and get worse during adolescence. The 12-25 year age-group is most vulnerable with an 80-90% chance of getting acne. Yet, acne before puberty is not unheard of. Also, there are those who continue to suffer this condition way past their teens and through their adult years. Hormone imbalance is usually the culprit.

Is acne infectious?

Acne is not infectious. In other words, direct or indirect contact with a person with acne or pimples will not pass on the condition.

What are the different types of acne?

The different types of acne are papular acne, pustular acne, cystic acne, nodular acne, comedones, blackheads and whiteheads. Papular acne includes small, pink coloured lesions. Pustular acne is filled with pus. Cystic acne is acne where the infection goes deep into the skin and forms a painful bump filled with pus under the skin. Nodular acne is hard, large and painful acne. Comedones acne is basically clogged hair follicles. A comedo can turn into a whitehead or a blackhead. Open comedo with its opening on the skin surface is called a blackhead. A closed comedo with its opening beneath the skin surface is a whitehead.

Can hair dandruff cause acne?

Dandruff is a condition characterised by flakes on the scalp. Dandruff may arise due to excessively dry or excessively oily scalp. When these flakes shed off and fall on the face, they can clog pores and cause pimples. However, such pimples are mostly found in the forehead region.

How is stress related to acne?

Stress does trigger acne. A stressful mind causes hormonal fluctuation that leads to increased production of oil by the sebaceous glands. The result is an acne break-out.

How about ointments?

Ointments may temporarily reduce the inflammation, pain and itching in acne. But acne will only be cured when the root cause is identified and addressed. Homeopathic medicines work from the inside out to cure acne, treating several causative conditions along the way to prevent recurrence of the condition.

Can lifestyle changes help us get rid of acne?

Increased water intake, reduced stress levels, a sound sleep, avoiding scratching the acne, cleaning the face 2-3 times a day are minor everyday changes that can hasten recovery from acne. Diet management also has a role to play in acne management. Cutting down on dairy and sugar, for example, are minor changes that go a long way in treating and preventing acne.

Endometriosis - 4 Reasons Behind it!

MRCOG, MD -gynaecology, obstretition, MBBS

Endometriosis - 4 Reasons Behind it!

The abnormal growth of the endometrium tissue outside the uterus is known as endometriosis. Ideally, the abnormal tissue is supposed to break down and exit the body. However, in this condition, the tissue is unable to pass out of the body. As a result, the surrounding tissue tends to get irritated and leads to the formation of scar tissues.

The various causes of endometriosis include:

  1. Immune system disorder: Complications in the immune system might render it incapable of destroying the endometrial tissue that grows outside the uterus.
  2. Surgical scar implantation: Certain surgeries such as a C-section may result in the attachment of endometrial cells to the incision area.
  3. Embryonic cell transport: These cells may be transported to other parts of the body by the blood vessels which may lead to endometriosis.
  4. Retrograde menstruation: Instead of passing out of the body, under this condition, the blood flows back into the pelvic region via the fallopian tubes. When these cells attach themselves to the pelvic cavity, it causes endometriosis.

Symptoms
1. Pain during sexual intercourse
2. Pain during periods including pelvic pain, especially during periods, lower back pain and abdominal pain.
3. Excessive bleeding during periods
4. Fatigue
5. Constipation
6. Bloating

The major complication that results is fertility problems. Endometriosis may prevent the combination of the egg and the sperm and thus, impairs your ability to conceive. It is recommended not to delay pregnancy if you have endometriosis. This disorder also tends to increase the risk of ovarian cancer in some women.

How can it be treated?

Endometriosis is usually done using surgery or medications.

  1. Medication: It usually involves painkillers.
  2. Hormone therapy: Some of the hormonal therapies include:
    1. Hormonal contraceptives
    2. Progestin therapy
    3. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (Gn-RH) agonists and antagonists
  3. Conservative surgery: If a patient wants to become pregnant, surgery is done as much as possible without harming the uterus and ovaries. Suggested procedures include laparoscopy and traditional abdominal surgery.
  4. Assisted reproductive technologies: An example of this form of treatment is In Vitro Fertilization.
  5. Hysterectomy: Under severe circumstances, total hysterectomy is conducted in order to facilitate the removal of cervix and uterus. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist and ask a free question.
