I am 29 year old and I have pain in my back legs when I worked hard from legs like play or run it feels pain in nerve most. Please suggest me what should I do. I also have the havey gastric pain.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature. My advise for you: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre match warm up and stretching of muscles - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Her head is spinning every time since last 2 days when she starts continuing this medicines. She is diabetic. Due to joint, heel pain nd diabetes doctor has prescribed these. Tell me if anything wrong wth this medicine or give some advice. When the sugar level was around 170 (fasting) her head was not spinning. Nw frm 2 days its happening.

If she is taking diabetic medication without having food or reduce quantity from regular intake it may end up in low sugar which may create such head spinning. So ask her to avoid taking low amount of food or skipping food. Joint pain is common in diabetic regular exercise and walking will help.

Sir, I have muscles pain in mt legs and 99 fever from approx 2 weeks and when done some tests typhoid comes normal but esr is 56 mm per hour. So what does it mean does this rise in esr and fever is due to pain or something else there are no symptoms except these. Age 19 years male. I am feeling like muscles are torn from inside. Please help.

You should take Acupressure therapy and take Biochemic Mag phos 200x +Ferrum phos 200x, 4 tab each thrice a day with warm water and take it 5 days than consult private online.

I am 22 years old and I am feeling suffocation while pain in upper back pain from last 2 days. Also feel vertigo in movement in the morning. It comes after 2 months and sometimes takes 6 months. When I sleep left hand side then I feel good but on others position vertigo comes. This have been from last 7-8 years.

There are many causes of vertigo, one of which may be degeneration in cervical spine but you are too young for that. Actually it will be good for you to meet up with a general physician or an ent surgeon in my opinion to find out a cause of vertigo in you. 7 Types Of Cutaneous Lupus!

Some diseases like chicken pox, measles etc. have definitive symptoms that make it easy to diagnose. However, others like lupus affect each person in a different way making them complex diseases that may take longer to diagnose. Lupus attacks the immune system and causes the antibodies that would normally fight infection to react against the body’s own cells and tissues. There are two main forms of lupus; systemic lupus that affects any part of the body and cutaneous lupus that affects the skin. These can occur simultaneously or on their own.

Some of the rashes that can be caused by cutaneous lupus are:

  1. Malar rash or butterfly rash: This affects the face and appears as a butterfly shaped rash over the nose and cheeks. It is triggered by the sun’s uv rays and can appear as a faint blush or a severe, scaly rash.
  2. Discoid lupus: Lupus can also cause small. Coin shaped sores or rashes. These are reddish and scaly in appearance and usually affect parts of the body exposed to sunlight and uv radiation. If left untreated, these sores can worsen with time. Though they do not cause pain or itchiness, they can result in scarring. In cases where these sores develop on the scalp, they can cause permanent bald patches.
  3. Subacute cutaneous lesions: These can be described as small, red sores that are shaped like coins. These can be found on the arms, shoulders, neck and chest in patches that resemble psoriasis. These lesions are also triggered by uv exposure. Though they do not cause scarring, these lesions can lighten or darken skin.
  4. Mucous membrane lesions: Sores in the mouth or nose that have been triggered by lupus are known as mucous membrane lesions.
  5. Baldness: Lupus can make the hair follicles near the scalp fragile and brittle. This can destroy the hair follicles and lead to hair fall. In some cases, hair may grow back while in others it could result in permanent baldness.
  6. Cutaneous vasculitis lesions: These refer to purplish spots or lines on the calves and feet. This is caused by the inflammation of skin tissues and can cause severe damage and gangrene.
  7. Raynaud's phenomenon: When exposed to cold, the skin on your fingers and toes may also change colour to red, white or blue due to lupus. This is triggered by the tightening of blood vessels and may be accompanied by a tingling sensation or numbness. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

अक्सर हममें से ज्यादातर लोगों को पीठ में दर्द, खिंचाव या अकड़न महसूस होता ही रहता है. हलांकि कई बार इससे बहुत ज्यादा परेशानी हो जाती है लेकिन ये गंभीरतम समस्याओं में से नहीं है. पीठ दर्द होने के कई कारण हैं जैसे कि गिरना, चोट या चिकित्सकीय स्थिति आदि. इस दौरान दर्द, सामान्य रूप से हड्डियों, डिस्क, नसों, मांसपेशियों और स्नायुबंधन द्वारा मिलकर की जाने वाली गतिविधियों के तरीके पर निर्भर करता है. पीठ दर्द का अनुभव करने का उम्र 35 और 55 वर्ष के बीच की है. यदि आपकी पीठ में बहुत दर्द हो रहा हो, तब भी धीरे-धीरे काम करना बिस्तर पर सीधे लेटे रहने से बेहतर है. आइए पीठ दर्द के कुछ संभावित उपचार को जानें.

1. व्यायाम की सहायता से
व्यायाम के कई फायदे हैं. पीठ दर्द का उपचार व्यायाम के इन्हीं फायदों में से एक है. यदि आप नियमित रूप से प्रभावी एरोबिक गतिविधियां करें तो आपकी पीठ में खिंचाव या झटका नहीं लगता है. इसके अलवा ये आपकी पीठ को मज़बूती व स्थिरता भी प्रदान करने के साथ ही आपकी मांसपेशियों को सक्षम बनाती है. पीठ दर्द से निपटने के लिए सैर और तैराकी करना अच्छे विकल्प हैं.
2. तरीके से खड़े हों
खड़े होने के तरीके का भी पीठदर्द पर बहुत अधिक प्रभाव पड़ता है. जब भी खड़े हों तो सीधे खड़े हों यानी पेल्विक स्थिति को तटस्थ बनाए रखें. इसके अलावा यदि आपको देर तक खड़ा होना ज़रूरी है, तो पैर रखने वाले छोटे स्टूल पर अपना एक पाँव रखें जिससे आपकी पीठ के निचले हिस्से से थोड़ा भार कम हो सके.
3. अच्छे तरीके से बैठें
बैठना के गलत तरीके का भी इस पर काफी प्रभाव पड़ता है. जब भी बैठना हो तो पीठ के निचले हिस्से व हाथों को सहारा देने वाली और घूमने वाली कुर्सी को चुनन ठीक रहेगा. इसके अलावा आप अपने पीठ की वक्रता को सामान्य बनाए रखने के लिए अपनी पीठ के पीछे सहारे के रूप में एक तकिया या तौलिए को मोड़कर रखें.
4. सतर्कतापूर्वक भार उठाएं
जहां तक संभव हो भारी सामान उठाने से बचें, लेकिन यदि वजन उठाना ज़रूरी है तो अपने पैरों को काम करने दें. इस दौरान अपनी पीठ को सीधा रखें, घूमें नहीं और केवल घुटनों पर ही झुकें. भार को अपने शरीर नज़दीक पकडकर रखने का प्रयास करें. भारी सामान को किसी की सहयाता के बाद ही उठाने का प्रयास करें.
5. शारीरिक परिक्षण
पीठ दर्द की समस्या से निपटने के लिए आमतौर पर सभी का शारीरिक परीक्षण करने की आवश्यकता हो सकती है. इस दौरान चिकित्सक आपकी निम्न जांच कर सकते हैं – खड़े होने और चलने की योग्यता रीढ़ की हड्डी की मूवमेंट की सीमा सजगता पैरों की ताकत आपके पैरों में होने वाली सनसनी की क्षमता आदि.
6. बेड रेस्ट से बचें
पीठ दर्द के उपचार के दौरान बिस्तर पर आराम करने की सलाह नहीं दी जाती है. अपने सामर्थ्य के अनुसार अधिक से अधिक काम करना जारी रखें. हलकी गतिविधि करने की कोशिश करें, जैसे कि चलना और दैनिक जीवन की गतिविधियां. उन कामों को न करें, जिनसे दर्द बढ़ता है, लेकिन दर्द से डरकर काम करने से न बचें.
7. शारीरिक चिकित्सा और व्यायाम
शारीरिक उपचार के द्वारा पीठ दर्द को कम करने के लिए आपकी पीठ की मांसपेशियों और कोमल ऊतकों को विभिन्न प्रकार के उपचार, जैसे – उष्मा, अल्ट्रासाउंड, विद्युत उत्तेजना और मांसपेशी को आराम देने वाली तकनीकें अपना सकते हैं. इसके अलावा चिकित्सक आपको व्यायाम सिखा सकते हैं जो आपके लचीलेपन को बढ़ा सकते हैं, पीठ और पेट की मांसपेशियों को मजबूत बना सकते हैं और आपकी अवस्था में सुधार कर सकते हैं.

Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.
