Most people can prevent vitamin b12 deficiency by eating enough meat, poultry, seafood, dairy products, and eggs. If you don't eat animal products, or you have a medical condition that limits how well your body absorbs nutrients, experts recommend taking a b12-containing multivitamin and eating breakfast cereal fortified with vitamin b12. If you're using vitamin b12 supplements, let your doctor know, so he or she can make sure they won't affect any medicines you're taking.

2- Scaling First of all undergo scaling (cleaning of teeth) by a dentist - Use proper brushing technique. - Brush twice a day which is most important (at night specifically just before sleep and avoid any food or liquid except water when you finish your brush at night) - After each meal (i. E breakfast, lunch, dinner and any time when you take snacks) rub your finger on all tooth surfaces inside and outside and than do forcefull gargles 2-3 times. -Visit dentist for regular oral cavity check up every 4 months for the early diagnosis and prevention of dental diseases. dont use a plastic tooth pick to remove the food stuck in the teeth. it will irritate your gums and may lead to gum infections.

Advise IOPA x-ray .You may need cleaning, root canal treatment & capping. Until then Rinse thoroughly with mouth wash. Then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Advance procedures can be done with laser.

Hi Am 19 years old when I wash my mouth mornings small amount of blood is coming from my mouth.

Dear , the fact that blood is coming out on washing one's mouth is inidicative of inflammation in the gums. Inflammation in the gums is generally due to tartar/ calculus deposits or food remaining stuck there. So, it is important for us to have the same checked by a good dental surgeon and follow up with the recommended dental treatment.

I daily brush but then also smells comes from mouth. So what should I do to stop this smelling out of mouth?

BDS
Dentist, Thanjavur
This is called halitosis or bad breath. You ll have to have a professional calling done and use mouth washes after food. Try using floss before brushing both day and night. If your trouble persists even after tat then you ll hv to work out on your diet chart. Coz certain sulphur containing foods r found to produce this bad breath.

Kindly get scaling done and use mouth wash and gum paint twice daily for 15 days. Brush your teeth twice daily using correct brushing technique to maintain your oral hygiene. Also notice that you are not constipated most of the times as this is also one of the reasons for bad breath.

Dear Lybrate user, mouth ulcers usually take 7-10 days for healing. Apply mucopain gel/dologel on affected area 3 times daily, let it stay for 5-8 minutes, hold the excess saliva in the mouth (don't swallow), spit after 8 minutes. Don't eat or drink anything afterwards for 30 minutes, keep spitting out the saliva. Besides you may take any over the counter available B-complex tablets. Consume plenty of water, fluids and fruits and avoid very hot, fried, oily foods and beverages. Maintain good oral hygiene.
