Trapezius muscle strain is commonly due to improper posture when driving or working on computer or mobile or use of improper pillow. Such pain can be relieved by simple measures at home. 1) Take rest for 1-2 days. 2) Simple analgesics like paracetamol or Ibuprofen to relieve pain 3) Application of ice pack helps in new onset pain in first 24 hrs. Later on application of warm pack will help. 4) Massage locally with analgesic cream 5) Perform neck stretches and trapezius muscle strengthening exercises once pain is decreased. 6) Follow good posture habits to avoid further increase in pain. Consult your doctor immediately if pain is persistent and progressive

Sir I am patient of asthma. So give me some advice what can you do to recover it fully.

1.Take 11 guava leaves, 11 black pepper, 1 cup milk and one cup water. Put all of them in pot and boil it well, when it reduced to one cup, drink in empty stomach. Take this daily for at least six months or a year. 2.Boil cumin seeds in water and inhale the steam. It helps dilate the bronchial passage. 3.Take 5 gm of ginger, black pepper, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, turmeric and 30 gm of sugar. Grind the mix to a powder. Take half to one teaspoonful and mix it nicely with honey. Take it twice a day 4.Pulses like old rice (rice which is stored for at least one year is called old), wheat, barley, kulattha, mung beans, arhar beans, etc . should be consumed. 5.Honey, warm drinks like herbal teas, spice teas are also okay. 6.Sprouts, nuts and seeds can be taken in moderate amount. 7.The heavy foods and those which make ama should be avoided. This mainly includes milk products like cheese, curd, butter milk, creams, and banana, etc. 8.Oily, greasy and fried foods which are difficult to digest should be avoided. 9.White flour and white sugar products should be avoided. 10.In addition, try to avoid the cold foods, cold drinks and other refrigerated things. 11.Avoid excessive or physically demanding exercise. Yoga and Pranayama can be helpful.

For masterbation: You must understand that excess of everything is bad. Same is true with masturbation. Control masturbition. Do not do more than a once in a week otherwise it may cause some weakness. You may take cap. Shilajit & tab. Chandraprabha bhati. One tab. Each morning & evening & also take dhatu paushtik churan one spoon morning & evening. All 3 with hot milk for 3-4 months.

Hello, My height is 5" 9' and my weight is 69 kgs. But still there are lot of fats in my body. That's why I drink lemon water when I am exercising in gym. I workouts 5 days in a week for 2 hours. Before four months my weight was 85 kgs. So I was on a hard diet to lose the extra kgs. Now I want to build my muscle. So I started with a new diet. And that is- At 7: 30 am I eat 50 gms satto with water. At 8 am I drink a cup of green tea without sugar. After that I go to the gym I workout for 2 hours. At 10: 30 am I eat 50 gm chole and khejur with some nuts. And I also eat 2 egg whites and 250 ml cow milk and one roti with some trecale. At 1 pm I eat 2 roti with fish curry which is cooked with a little amount of oil. In fish curry there are lots of vegetables which I most eat all of them. After that I eat a big banana and I also eat curd which is not so sweet and its an amul product. At 4 pm I eat a handful oatz and a bowl of boiled dall.(mug kadai) and a guava also. At 7 pm I eat 2 roti with a curry which is full of soya chunks. And after that I eat a bowl of salad which made by cucumber and inion and ref tomatoes also. I add a liile bit of lemon squash and black pepar to make the salad tasteful. So its my diet chart. I think it is enough to gain my muscle as well as cut the fat from the body So what you think about this it will work or not? I really need your suggestion. So response quickly. I will waiting for your response.

Hye. Thankyou for the query. Your diet shows that you are trying to eat a lot of foods you feel are healthy but you are not eating the right foods at the right time. You really need to plan out a good routine or else you are more likely to gain fats. You are overweight and first you must try to bring down your fats. Also just having seemingly healthy foods will not help. Eating it as much as needed by the body and when needed is also important.

Hi, no there is ideally no treatment for this problem, and after you stop smoking also that blackness may be reduced upto great extent but never goes off completely, if you keep smoking in what ever quantity, blackness will remain due to narcotic effect of tobacco.

Sugar is used as a natural exfoliant for skin. It is one of the best home remedies to get rid of stretch marks. Take a tablespoon of sugar. Add some drops of almond oil and lemon juice in it. Stir it well and apply directly on the stretch marks. Rub it for 8-10 minutes and then, take a shower. Continue to use it for one month or so, until the stretch marks gets fade out.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform me.

Hello doctor, my age is 51 years. My life had extra struggle since 1980 and still I am. Now my problem is that I forget all, some time for short and some time for long period. Even when I start thinking from home, have to go that certain work or I have to go to that certain places. But I forget all. Even I go to other way riding and return back home unsuccessfully. You need to look back to the last year and see if you can identify any stress that may be causing this memory loss, purely because of your age. Stress is a major reason for us to lose concentration and therefore loss to memory. You should then meet with a counselor and work this stress out of your system and memory will happily return. If it is not due to this stress you may then need to go for a thorough medical check up and see if there are other reasons to affect memory. In the meantime it would be wise to write down things that you need to remember and tick off the ones completed. The brain is capable of producing new brain cells at any age, so significant memory loss is not an inevitable result of aging. But just as it is with muscle strength, you have to use it or lose it. Your lifestyle, health habits, and daily activities have a huge impact on the health of your brain. Whatever your age, there are many ways you can improve your cognitive skills, prevent memory loss, and protect your grey matter. The hippocampus, a region of the brain involved in the formation and retrieval of memories, often deteriorates with age. Hormones and proteins that protect and repair brain cells and stimulate neural growth also decline with age. Older people often experience decreased blood flow to the brain, which can impair memory and lead to changes in cognitive skills. Exercise the mind and keep it always occupied with new challenges in the form of reading, learning new languages, doing crosswords, puzzles, anagrams, jigsaws, picture completion, picture comparison, sentence completion, Sudoku, riddles, etc. Exercise is a must, and a good eating habit and diet is very essential. Do not drink and smoke, and if you have any bad habits kindly stop them, immediately. You must learn to be stress free and learn relaxation exercises too. Maintain good relations at home and with society. Play games you are not already familiar with that involve strategy, like chess or bridge, and word games like Scrabble. Read newspapers, magazines, and books that challenge you. Get in the habit of learning new things: games, recipes, driving routes, a musical instrument, a foreign language. Take a course in an unfamiliar subject that interests you. The more interested and engaged your brain, the more likely you’ll be to continue learning and the greater the benefits you’ll experience. Take on a project that involves design and planning, such as a new garden, a quilt, or a pond. New research indicates that walking six to nine miles every week can prevent brain shrinkage and memory loss. According to the American Academy of Neurology, older adults who walked between six and nine miles per week had more gray matter in their brains nine years after the start of the study than people who didn't walk as much. If you are not yet old, you may want to work on prevention rather than the cure. That is a good idea. Plan your day well but do not be too rigid. Follow a meaningful and prayerful lifestyle too. One thing that I have seen in many people who have started to live a life of giving and sharing (either in time, money, service and love) have found such pleasure and satiation that the longevity in life and in memory has received a major boost.
