One or two eggs in breakfast is good. And you should avoid eating egg yolk. It is full of cholesterol. Eat only white of the egg, it is full of protein. And in order reduce weight, you should also exercise along with eating eggs.

Your wt should be around 63 kgs. *Avoid sweets, cakes, creams, fried foods, processed food and junk food. * Maintain food timings * Don’t miss breakfast. *Avoid heavy dinners and late night meals. *Avoid stimulants, aerated drinks sweetish juices, etc. And maintain good food habits. * Drink lots of water and keep hydrated. Avoid sugary soft drinks * Have adequate, timely, good night sleep *Even with desk job, you can spend morning and evening time for work out *Have vigorous physical exercise to improve absorption and blood circulation. Important causes of obesity are: Eating more sugar in the diet increases body weight. People who like eating sweet and sugary products experience more body weight than normal. Carbohydrates get converted into fats and get deposited in the body tissues and muscles. Sedentary lifestyle is another important reason for obesity. People who do not perform any exercise or physical activity during the day may suffer fromt is becoming more common in children as they do not go out to play. Hello, i am an obese teenager, i want to loose my weight, when i was 11 years old i suffered from typhoid twice in a year after that my weight is increasing consequently even if there is no change in my diet. Before that i was absolutely slim and healthy, my weight is 114 kg and height is 5.9 now. I am 19, college going student, i am suffering from hypertension since one year. Dieting is not my cup of tea, but i am not prone to eat junk food in fact my frequency of eating outside food is once or twice in a month. I have tried every possible way to reduce my weight but i get no result. I am a kind of jolly person so criticism of people does not bother me. But now i want to get rid off this extra weight that i am carrying since 7 years, sometimes it is so frustrating that my mind starts negative thoughts. My field of study is food science and quality control so i know what to eat and what not. But it makes no sense. Please help me.

Drink Alcohol to Lose Weight

While it is common news that alcohol consumption leads to weight gain, recent studies have made a startling discovery, wherein long term moderate drinkers have shown symptoms of maintaining an optimal weight, even losing excess fat more than those who abstain from drinking at all. While harder alcoholic drinks are more likely to affect the liver and hence the level of fat in the body, weight gain because of alcohol is also dependent on a number of other factors like how often you drink or how much you drink in one session. This is compounded by each individual's capability to metabolize the alcohol, or work it off.

It is important to know how many calories your drink accounts for:

  1. Tequila, whiskey, rum and their other variations have more or less the same amount of calories.
  2. Beer constitutes a little more calorific value than those mentioned above, while wine and champagne have the least amount of calories among proper alcoholic drinks. This is why wine should be the preferred drink for those more susceptible to weight gain.
  3. Cocktails like margaritas or pina coladas have at least four times the number of calories than unmixed drinks. So, one must proceed with caution while ordering endless free cocktails at a party.
  4. If cocktails are your thing, opt for a Bloody Mary, it has lesser calories. People more prone to consume a high calorie diet on a regular basis, or are already overweight, tend to put on more weight even after moderate alcohol consumption.]
  5. Also remember that drinking small amounts frequently leads to weight loss rather than the misconception of drinking copious amounts at long intervals.
  6. Doctors even prescribe a daily glass of wine with and after dinner nowadays. Studies stipulated the optimal number of drinks per week to four, maximum five.
  7. One drink per day in case of women, and two for men is a good regimen to get you started with losing weight through alcohol consumption.
  8. You must also be careful about the food you accompany your drinks with; make sure their high calorie value does not unsettle the entire process.

Hi lybrate user a) take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice, ginger juice and 1 tsf of jaggery along with 60 ml of water early in the morning on empty stomach and after meals. Do this for 30 days it gives you good result. Thanks.

For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

The best and most effective way to get rid of the localized fat is a combination of low fat and low calorie diet with exercises. let us talk about the diet first. Cut down on calories and add necessary fillers like insoluble fibers to add bulk to the diet, you may include whole grains, fresh whole fruits, raw salads and vegetable preparations. This helps in attaining satiety while consuming lesser calories. Restrict the intake of refined foods like those made with refined wheat flour. Avoid sugar wherever possible. Making way for the good protein sources like legumes, dals, milk and its products and soy in the diet also helps in cutting down the calorie intake. Protein rich foods delays the digestion time and one dos not feel hungry soon. Also, you must choose the fats wisely. Limit the intake of oil and avoid the fried foods and snacks. Drink plenty of water and other healthy drinks to keep up the metabolism. You may also include options like green tea and lemon tea. Buttermilk and tender coconut water are also good options. As mentioned above, in addition to the dietary modifications, exercises are equally important, especially the ones for abs. Moves like crunches, twist crunches, bicycle crunch, step hop, squats etc. are excellent to burn abdominal fat and tone the muscles. Set a time for exercise and start with simple workouts for short duration, you can slowly increase the time, frequency and intensity of the workout. This would allow the body to keep pace with the changes. Make sure that you give enough time to warm up and cooling down after each workout. Avoid lying down or sitting immediately after the meals. You may go for a light walk after lunch and dinner. Or if possible sit in Vajrasana for 15 – 20 minutes after the meals. Avoid heavy meals after sunset and reduce the total salt intake. For weight loss, diet & lifestyle changes are needed. Early morning you can have 2 glass plain water at room temperature before brushing teeth. 1. Have small frequent meals at regular intervals instead of 3-4 large ones 2. Eat slowly chewing each bite 15-20 times 3. Drink 3 litres water daily 4. Brisk walk daily for 1 hr 5. Walk instead of hiring transport, avoid sitting continuously for an hr, take 15 mins light walk post meals, avoid lying down within an hr of a meal, take part in some form of active sports (football/ cricket/badminton/tennis/squash/boxing/karate, join zumba dance/aerobic/ swimming classes) 6. Avoid junk/ processed/canned/ready to eat/ fried/ sugary/ outside foods, soft & hard drinks, chocolates, ice cream, sweets 7. Replace simple carbs-potato, sugar, sago, refined grains (maida, biscuit, cake, white bread, noodles, white rice) with complex carbs-whole fruits with peel, vegetables, salads, whole legumes (sprouts, rajma, soyabean), whole grains (atta, bajra, ragi, jowar, barley, dalia, suji, atta bread, brown rice) 8. Take low calorie and low sodium and high protein food. Don't take rice at night. 4-5 meals in a day in a frequent intervals. Take 1 glass of lukewarm water with 1 tsp of alsi powder in the morning and go for walk.

. Exercise alone is not sufficient you have to take care of your diet. Here are some diet tips 1. Eat high fibre food avoids eating food in simple sugar form 2. Eat fresh fruits instead of fruit juices. Fruits are good source of fibre except banana mango, chiku. 3. Try to avoid deep fried food and oil containing food. Control your fat consumption in your routine diet 4. Avoid bakery products, sweets. 5. Have plenty of water at least 3 lt/day 6. At least half hour walk/day. All are common things but for definite result you need individual diet and exercise schedule.

Don’t worry. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. As soon as you start seeing the results, you will be surprised as well as motivated to go beyond your weight loss and adopt and a lifelong healthy attitude. For a start please follow: 1.Watch what you eat – Are you eating too much junk, drink excessive alcohol and eating too much white food and sugar? Please cut it down to as low as you can from tomorrow. Cut down tea/coffee if you are too addicted to it. It is creating havoc inside your body. 2.Lifestyle – Are you a late sleeper and late riser? You can’t imagine what this schedule of yours is doing to your metabolism. It is degrading your digestive system from inside and your looks from outside. 3.Physically active – If you are a couch potato who loves to watch tv whole day then throw that couch of yours in the street and get yourself a treadmill tomorrow. Yes it is as simple as that. Who is stopping you? You have to be physically active all day long if you want to burn those extra calories. Do daily brisk walk, Pranayam, atleast 20 surayanamaskar everyday to start seeing the results. Take break between office work to walk a little or rather just climb some stairs to get that food you ate in lunch have space and heat to digest and absorb. What’s the harm in using your washroom to do a little middle of the day squats. Do that – No one is watching you. The key is to stay physically active all day long, no matter what. 4.Eat healthy and eat on time: Not only eating healthy is important but eating at right time is equally imp too. Have an early breakfast and early dinner and have 4 small meals between breakfast and dinner. To guide you a bit, here you go: A.Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B.At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c.Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D.Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. You can also take brown rice with daal in lunch. Try to get your food cooked in olive oil. Lace your salad with apple cider vinegar, black pepper and seeds like flaxseeds or chia seeds to make it nutrition packed lunch. E.Between 4 p. M – 5 p. M – Cup of Green Tea F.Evening (4-6 p. M) – Have some nice sprouts with tomatoes and cucumber. G.Dinner (2 hours before sleeping, preferably before 9 p. M) – Paneer & veggies salad with olive oil, Roti or brown rice with Daal. H.Have a glass of warm milk. Weight loss is 80% about what you eat and 20% about exercises. That said, both the things go hand in hand. If you want to lose weight in a more healthy way than be patient and just follow the regimen everyday. Slow and steady wins the race.

Green tea help to improve metabolism. You can by any branded green tea. Also you can try apple vineger with warm water. But the most important thing is the right way of exercises to reduce fat from the right place. Tea coffee or anything will help only when you do some right exercises with them.
