Hi. Rectal prolapse if mild then it may subside on its own as child grows. But gas formation does not sound good. I advise you to visit a paediatric surgeon asap. It could be milder variety of hirschsprung disease.

I am 25 yrs old boy. I recently found out that I have stomach problems due to excessive drinking of alcohic drinks. I want to know what food I should prefer which will help me to accelerate healing process.

BSc Home Science, M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition

Have you developed liver cirrhosis? anyway, to deal with liver ailments due to alcoholic drinks - we will have to undo this situation and bring back the good health which requires you to take certain nutrients in increased quantities. The course would depend upon the damage to the liver which could be from 1 to 3 months on seeing the progress. As such 4 fruit varieties, 4 raw veg, 1 fist dry fruits, and whole cereals, legumes, sprouts etc is healthy food. Trust this helps you - further contact me seperatly.

Hi Dr. I have GERD for 6 years now, but I feel most of the symptoms in my throat, not much in stomach. I belch a lot ...
Foods, overeating, drugs, medications, and physical activities can weaken the les, overtime causing heartburn. By lifting and holding the neck from a supine position for 60 seconds at a time, you create enough tension in the muscle associated with the upper esophageal sphincter that it can strengthen the valve. Doing a similar lift and holding within the abdominal region of the body cannot provide the same results for the lower esophageal sphincter.

You were eating outside food for 3 months. Good to know that ecg is normal at age 21. Get back to eating regular home cooked food-simple with minimum fat, sugar and salt. Deworming-3 tabs of nemocid together + 200 mg metrogyl twice daily after food for 3 days. Walking is best exercise to digest food. Use ginger-garlic as food softeners, heeng, jeera, ajwain + saunf to have better digestion. Get back here after a week.
