My wife with bilateral renal parenchymal disease, pls suggest it's a curable with medicines.
The management totally depends on the degree and extent of disease. The presence of any other comorbidities and complications. One of the most important factors is the cause of disease. Surely, the progression of disease can be controlled and it's effects managed, but again the treatment is a multi pronged approach.

Dear , for better advice you got to give me more details of your complaints. Bladder outlet obstruction is caused by enlarged prostate gland which is usually due to age. Give me urine report and sonography reports with full bladder volume, bladder wall thickness and post void residual urine. Do you have some delay in starting urination? how many times do you pass urine in a day and also at night? is the flow weak? do you feel that you are emptying bladder or do you feel some urine is left behind? please post the results with pictures and the answers of the questions.

Q. L have three renal stones in lt. Kidney, 18mm, 12mm, 11mm, so what should I do?
Homoeopathic medicine BERBERIS VULGARIS Q ( Dr Reckeweg) HYDRANGEA Q ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 10 drops in 20 ml fresh water 3 times daily at a minimum difference of 20 minutes from each other and eating. For Kidney pain start taking below given homoeopathic medicine in between DIOSCOREA Q ( Dr Reckeweg) Drink 10 drops every 1-2 hrly in 10 ml luke warm water depending on severity of pain Start drinking atleast 3-4 bottles of soda water daily. Report after 15 days Instead of reducing your calcium intake, focus on limiting the sodium in your diet. Extra sodium causes you to lose more calcium in your urine, putting you at risk for developing another stone. Limit your sodium to 2,000 milligrams each day. There are many sources of hidden sodium such as canned or commercially processed foods as well as restaurant-prepared and fast foods. Calcium oxalate kidney stones are the leading type of kidney stones. Oxalate is naturally found in many foods, including fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, grains, legumes, and even chocolate and tea. Some examples of foods that contain high levels of oxalate include: peanuts, spinach, beets, chocolate and sweet potatoes. Another common type of kidney stone is a uric acid stone. Red meat and shellfish have high concentrations of a natural chemical compound known as a purine. High purine intake leads to a higher production of uric acid which then accumulates as crystals in the joints, or as stones in the kidneys. To prevent uric acid stones, cut down on high-purine foods such as red meat, organ meats, and shellfish, and follow a healthy diet that contains mostly vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and low fat dairy products. Limit sugar-sweetened foods and drinks, especially those that contain high fructose corn syrup. Limit alcohol because it can increase uric acid levels in the blood and avoid crash diets for the same reason. Eating less animal-based protein and eating more fruits and vegetables will help decrease urine acidity and this will help reduce the chance for stone formation. You should also be sure to drink at least 6-8 glass of water a day to help reduce the risk for stone formation.

Please note that you should not hold your urine for long as this in turn will cause health hazards. Please do a urine test - routine and culture the next time you find any trace of blood in urine. Take citrus fruits and plenty of water.

On sitting on legs and after walking I am having ants and vibration sensations in legs I have done blood urine blood ...
Dear Lybrate user The common cause of muscle twitching include the following:  Twitching can occur after physical activity because lactic acid accumulates in the muscles used during exercise. It most often affects the arms, legs, and back. Muscle twitches caused by stress and anxiety are often called “nervous ticks. If the twitching during sleep occurs due to medication or taking alcohol, simply changing your bedtime routine can help.  Practicing yoga and meditation helps combat stress-related twitching. In order to avoid twitching from dehydration, ensure to limit consumption of coffee, soda, and beer. If the cause is a vitamin deficiency, vitamin supplements to replenish the supply of minerals and vitamins can alleviate symptoms.  Consult a doctor before taking vitamin supplements to identify the deficiency.  A good sleep at night can recharge the body for the next day. Keep yourself warm when you sleep. Call back for more details.

Kidney Stones - 6 Ayurvedic Remedies for Treating them Naturally

Kidney Stones - 6 Ayurvedic Remedies for Treating them Naturally

A kidney stone is a hard crystal-like material or growth that is formed inside the kidney or the urinary tract. The medical term for this condition is nephrolithiasis. Here are a few natural ways by which you can get rid of kidney stones without having them removed surgically:

  1. Lemon juice and olive oil: This remedy says that blending five spoons of olive oil with five spoons of lemon juice can be beneficial. Drink this mix on an empty stomach and after that drink a glass of water. You need to mix this potion and drink it straight first thing in the morning and again in the late evening. Make sure to drink a lot of water too. Proceed with this treatment for a few days until the stone passes through your urine. It is believed that the lemon juice could separate the kidney stones and the olive oil would help in providing grease for passing the stone all the more effectively.
  2. Pomegranate Juice: We have all heard that pomegranates have numerous medical advantages. Further, the seeds of pomegranates can be viewed as another characteristic solution for kidney stones. One can have pomegranate juice in order to handle kidney stones.
  3. Apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar is made of citrus extract that could help in dissolving kidney stones and help the body pass the stones more effortlessly. What is more, it is trusted that apple cider vinegar helps in the avoidance of kidney stones in the first place by neutralising the impact on blood and urine and keep the kidney stones from advancing. This home cure prescribes that blending two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with six to eight spoons of water and drinking the blend every now and again for the duration of the day, and particularly before dinner times will end up breaking up kidney stones.
  4. Natural Celery: Celery is a leafy vegetable and celery seeds are great kidney tonics. Customary usage of celery seed, as a flavour or as a tea, may improve the kidney stone problem.
  5. Coke and asparagus: Basic home solutions for kidney stones includes drinking a lot of Coke and tailing it up by eating a half-pound of steamed asparagus. Supporters of this technique propose that the phosphoric corrosive found in Coke helps in dissolving the kidney stones. Asparagus is used as a diuretic. Coke alone will dehydrate you, which is not ideal in case you are experiencing kidney stones.
  6. Uva Ursi: Uva Ursi is a very natural remedy for kidney stones. Not just will it battle off disease in the kidneys, however, it might also lessen pain and improve the health of the urinary tract. 500mg three times each day is prescribed for kidney stones.

Though these are Ayurvedic remedies, it is still advisable that one should not go for self medication and should consult a Ayurvedic practitioner to know the correct dosage and usage.

Dear doctor, I am a 61 yrs old male and have been diagnosed with prostate enlargement leading to frequent urination problem. I have been told to go for surgery. Is there any non surgical treatment either in allopathy or any alternative system of medicine? is there a risk of developing prostate cancer by undergoing surgery. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Prostate enlargment is generally benign condition common in your age group. Their are medications such as tamsulosin which will give you relief but overgrown prostate is treated surgically and their is no risk of prostate cancer by undergoing surgery.
