6 Tips to Help You Sleep Better

Sleeping is a natural process, which should happen effortlessly when you are tired. However, owing to a lot of factors, your sleep might be disrupted and the lack of sleep might make you feel tired and less productive the next day.

Here are a few tips which you could follow to sleep better:

  1. Remove the faintest traces of light: A dark room helps you sleep better as even a faint light can trick your brain into believing that it is daytime and disrupt your sleep. Switch off all your lights and if that doesn’t help, use an eye mask to keep the light out.

  2. Keep your beverages under check: Consuming any form of caffeinated beverages within six hours of your sleep time can hamper your sleep. The caffeine content in your beverages can reduce your regular sleep time by more than two hours as it is loaded with oxidants which fight drowsiness.

  3. Choose your dinner carefully: Eating a heavy dinner can cause discomfort while sleeping and can disrupt it as you feel over-stuffed. Refrain from consuming alcohol with your dinner as it can force you to make frequent trips to the washroom and act as a disruption to your sleep.

  4. Do not exercise before going to bed: Exercise is absolutely important for a healthy lifestyle, but exercising before going to bed can result in problems in sleeping. Exercising can give you an adrenaline rush which keeps you awake and pumped up at night.

  5. Find the perfect mattress and pillow: Feeling comfortable is the key to good sleep. Your bed and pillow might be too hard or soft for you and can be the reason behind you not getting proper sleep. Doctors recommend feather pillows for a good night’s sleep. Also, if you are using a synthetic pillow, make sure to replace it every six months.

  6. Indulge in snooze foods: You can avail and indulge in certain foods which have been labelled as snooze foods as they help you get better sleep at night. Warm milk is loaded with an amino acid known as ‘tryptophan’ which helps you get better sleep at night. Eating one spoon of honey before going to bed is a great idea as it releases ‘Orexin’, a neuropeptide which is responsible for lowering alertness levels.

She still can be trained but you have to do it fast now otherwise it will become a problem and later on you will have yo seek medical help same goes for her diet also these are habits parents have to inculcate them in their children at the earliest age please work hard and attentively for this.

Hello, dear lybrate-user, headache is caused due to under noted condition * * stress* visionary error. * spondylosis. *sinusitis *bp* gastric disorder,* inadequate, sleep in d night. Drug abused. However, take homoeo medicine * @ spigelia 200-6 pills, thrice a day. @ natrum mur 1000-6 pills, wkly. * you should go for meditation yo reduce your stress and to calm down your nerve, causing headache. * diet b easily digestible, in time all d best, report wkly.

Diet should be healthy leafy vegetable and cereals avoid alcohol and siny junck food avoid red meat so that further accumulation of fat does not take place maintain your bodyweight as per bmr. Whatever damage is vthere it will remain may reduce a bit by strict dietary habbits.

When eat anything my stomach starts paining. It was started from last 3-4 months. Even my stools are completely undigestive and a bit scary black in colour. I need to visit a washroom so many times just because of improper digestions. And may due to this a have lost appetite. I used to take lot more liquids through out my day. I did not smoke and drink.

Avoid tea/coffee alcohol, smoking spicy food. Life style changes and food habbits can solve your problem easily. Chew your food properly. Avoid outside food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy done. Consult doctor.

Hello. Here I would like to give you some information. GERD is due to Reflux of Acid produced in the stomach back into the food pipe, in it lead to stomach problem like Heaviness in Epigastric region, fullness in abdomen etc. Not a major issue so need not to worry much. I shall advice you to avoid spicy and oily food, cut down you tea/coffee intake, include 30 mins of wlk daily, sleep with Head end raised. For medicine you can consult me in detail with your problem. 300 sugar sounds not good, you are young so i would firstly want to normal your sugar. Start eating methi ka dana i table spoon. put 1 table spoon methi ka dana in water, let it be in water overnight, next day eat it empty stomach, do it for 90 days regularly. if you want to see the good result in 60 days then take triphla chooran and methi dana powder, both 1 table spoon, put both in water overnight, consume it empty stomach. secondly i am giving you some natural remedies to loose weight, follow it Answer is bit long but do read it if you want to be healthy: 1. Make sure you are walking at least 5000 steps every day.
