Important Part Of Brushing People Miss

Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

Hey well I recently went to the doctor to see if anything was wrong with me. Because my vagina was feeling funny & had white & Grey discharges. So they had did a swab and it was BV that I had. And I never ever had that before. So they gave me some antibiotics called Flagyl. I took this 3 months ago for bladder infection and I didn't get yeast afterwards. So this time if I take it do you think I will get it ? Or do you think the BV will reoccur. To be honest I don't how I got this. I had no symptoms, not even after inter course. Folks said that it can be from unprotected sex. Or with many sex partners or a new one. And I do not think it could be from that because. Me & my boyfriend has been together for 10 months and we had sex many times unprotected and I never had that problem plus we are not seeing other people or cheating and he washes very good. I think its the a.fter affect on the depo shot I was once taking .after I got off I had gotten yeast infection but I've been off for a while now. So what could be the cause of me getting BV ? I always use antibacterial soap but not any other scented things. What if it comes back then what should I take besides flagyl. I even tried water & peroxide. It works for my family but not me as I suspected.

For most women bv does not cause problems. Just a course of mild antibiotic may be sufficient. It is not due to sexual activity, but personal hygiene before and after sex may be important in preventing the symptoms due to bv. Do not too many local antiseptics, douches or liquid wash. It kills the normal bacterial flora in the vagina and gives chance for others to grow. This change can cause abnormal discharge but is usually self limiting. When you bathe, limit soap usage to the exterior only. Change underwear frequently. Maintain normal health and hygiene. Symptoms should subside.

Please do a pregnancy test first. If positive you should consult a gynaecologist because it is important to get a usg done to know that the pregnancy is in the right place and also to know your blood group. Only then medications should be prescribed.

Causes of bleeding after sex Bleeding after sex can be a sign of a health condition: an infection, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), or a sexually transmitted infection (STI), such as chlamydia vaginal dryness (atrophic vaginitis) caused by reduced vaginal secretions after the menopause damage to the vagina, such as tears caused by childbirth, or by dryness or friction during sexcervical or endometrial polyps (benign or non-cancerous growths in the womb or the lining of the cervix) cervical ectropion (also known as cervical erosion), where there is an inflamed area on the surface of the cervix In rare instances, bleeding after sex can be a sign of cervical or vaginal cancer. Tests and examinations Depending on any other symptoms and your medical history, your might require some tests or examinations, such as: a pregnancy test (depending on your age) a pelvic examination (where the doctor inserts two fingers into your vagina to feel for anything unusual) looking at the cervix with an instrument called a speculum If the problem is caused by vaginal dryness, they may recommend that you try using lubricating gels. You should consult a specialist, such as a gynaecologist.

First Trimester - 3 Changes To Expect

First Trimester - 3 Changes To Expect

The first 12 weeks of your pregnancy is a super important period when your pregnancy gets established and stabilized. There are so many little exciting and not so exciting changes happening in your body that it'll simply leave you amazed. If this is your first pregnancy and you are wondering what to expect, here is a quick view:

1. The big discovery: This is one of the most trying times in a woman's life when her mind is swinging, wondering if those periods just decided to postpone themselves or if there is an exciting reason behind the miss. This period is often spent wondering when exactly is the right time to do your first pregnancy test. The opinion on this varies a lot. Some women have been able to detect their pregnancy even before they missed their period. Others have got a false negative one week after missing their periods. The safest bet is to wait for around 8 days after your missed period and do a blood HCG test which gives a sure shot confirmation. And that moment when you find out and share with your spouse is something you'll treasure for life. There really is no feeling in the world that can match knowing that a small little life is taking shape inside you.

2. The good and not so good changes: Though the kicking doesn't begin until later and the belly doesn't show, there are enough changes in your body to wonder what the little one is up to.
a.    Morning sickness: One of the unfriendly side effects of pregnancy generally kicks in early during the first trimester. Unfortunately, it doesn't just last in the morning but mostly throughout the day. Some smells also trigger the feeling of nausea. Having small meals and keeping a good scent handy may help.
b.    Mood swings: You can go from the heights of euphoria to the depths of depression with the speed of a roller coaster. The spouse is often the one bearing the brunt of this side effect leaving them confused. It is best to keep them in the loop so that they can take it to their stride and comfort you when you need it the most.
c.    Weight loss / gain: Though it is too early to pile on the pounds, your first trimester will see you gain a few pounds. In other cases, appetite loss and nausea may actually result in some weight loss. Keep your daily calorie intake in check during this period and concentrate on eating nutritious food with extra pregnancy sustaining supplements.

3. Your baby's growth: In your first trimester, your baby goes from a single cell to a peach sized bundle that sprouts arms, legs, hands, feet, fingers and toes. And that first heartbeat - you are bound to skip a heartbeat when you hear that. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Gynaecologist.

I am going to get marry in few months. During first time intercourse whether she feel pain and bleeding? Is it common thing? How to avoid such conditions. Also let me to know whether I too feel paining on that time. Kindly help to know the real circumstances pls. Thank you.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
During first intercourse usually female they bleed but it is not the rule. There will be pain for her for initial few days, but that should not be the concern as it is not that severe to worry. Male partner does not have any pain. Bleeding which she will have will be mild, and will subside immediately.
