I got dengue. It is initial stage. What should I do now? What are things I should eat and not?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, as platelet count goes down in dengue, special focus is to be given on your food which will help in increasing the count of platelets and improve your immunity. -during dengue fever saturated fats, refined sugar and processed foods need to be avoided. Stay away from aerated beverages, junk and oily foods. -stop consuming raw food, especially vegetables in the form of salads. -fruits like pomegranates, oranges, tomatoes, broccoli, cashew nuts, berries, grapes are rich in anti-oxidants. -consumptions of green leafy vegetables, cod liver oil, flax seed oils and fresh fruits help to improve platelet count. Fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts and dark greens are packed with nutrients and vitamins that improve and stabilise the immune system of the body. -vitamin c (lemon, orange, gooseberry, etc. Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, can notaloupe, and green peas, bell peppers, dark leafy greens, kiwifruit, broccoli, berries, tomatoes, and papayas.), easily solved in water and absorbed by body, helps immediately to restore platelet count. -drink plenty of plain water.

You can not be generalized and inform or not inform about everything. Better is that you start sharing matters of life except absolutely personal things about you. You may connect an expert privately for further clarity on the matter and understanding self and family relationship, if you want quality in your marital relationship. Move on connect, all the best.

I am suffering from acne And I have dry skin. Due to acne my face has become very ugly. How to get rid of it permanently?

BHMS, DEMS
Homeopath, Pune
Acne occurs when the pores on your skin become blocked with oil, dead skin, or bacteria. Each pore on your skin is the opening to a follicle. The follicle is made up of a hair and a sebaceous (oil) gland. The oil gland releases sebum (oil), which travels up the hair, out of the pore, and onto y skin. Drink water 10 glass / day wash your face 3 times / day avoid oily food eat one orange daily do not squeeze pimples, because that often leads to infections, worse acne and scars. Wash your hair often if your hair is oily. Try to keep your hair off of your face. Avoid hair care products such as gels, mousses, cream rinses, and pomades that contain a lot of oil. Use baksons sunny face wash. Avoid touching your face. Protect your skin from too much sun exposure. For complete cure kindly consult us.

Sir/ma'am I am having severe headache daily. I usually take saridon I just wanted to know taking saridon does have side effect or not? Because it gives me relief Thankyou.

MBBS, MD - Anaesthesiology, FIPM
Pain Management Specialist, Pune
You have headache on daily basis, just taking painkillers daily is not the solution. In fact with daily intake of painkillers your headache can worsen further into a condition known as medication overuse headache (for details read my health tips). You should get evaluated for the cause of your headache and receive treatment accordingly. Headache at young age can be due to 1. Tension headache: pain is band like constriction at forehead. Simple analgesics like paracetamol will help. 2. Migraine: episodes of severe headache, generally one sided and associated with nausea or vomiting, photophobia / phonophobia. Migraine treatment requires lifestyle modifications and preventive medications. 3. Headache can be due to refractive error (vision defect). Simple vision check and wearing spectacles accordingly can help. 4. Sinusitis: headache with nasal discharge, fever and throat pain. Consult an ent specialist in such cases. Other causes of headache can be cluster headache, tumour, meningitis, cervical spine diseases, and many more. Consult a pain specialist or neurologist for detailed evaluation.

Hello doctors I have been smoking for almost 7 years, and it's more like a mental need for me now. As it doesn't feel any different or uneasy if I don't smoke, but I have kind of scheduled myself with smoking. How could I overcome it? Also I was wondering if there could be any means or methods via which the effects I have on me can be reduced? Can tar be removed at regular intervals with some artificial process? What affect more, tar or nicotine? Thanking you in advance.

It is very easy to quit if your body is not demanding it, and as you say it is more of a mental need. Every time you think of lighting a cigarette, have a glass of water, take a light snack or have a fruit. Basicslly, the idea is to postpone smoking. Try visiting non smoking zones and create a mental boundary for not smoking at certain times, like diving, when with friends or after meals. Tar is a by product rather when nicotine is accumulated for a long time, that is tar. I haven't heard of a process of descaling your lungs.

My chicks lost of small mole who to remove it. Kindly suggest me for home remedies.

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD

Small mole cannot be removed. A big raised mole can be removed at home, and it will also leave a burn mark. It is better to get it removed from a doctor.

What to do make hair smooth and shiny I have dry hair and dandruff also suggest how to remove dandruff.

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, These are some home made tips to get shiny and strong long hair. *Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles in the scalp. *Massage the scalp and hair with coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for ½ hour, and then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week. *Massage into the scalp and hair honey with egg yolk. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse. *Massage almond oil on scalp 2-3 times a day, daily. This will stop further hair loss. *Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow *Make a shampoo by mixing 100 g each of amla (Indian goose berry), reetha, and shikakai and boil in two liters of water until the liquid reduces to half. Use this shampoo for your hair for at least one month. Your hair will become thick. *Mix equal amount of warm castor and almond oil and massage over scalp at least once a week. *Make a hair pack by mixing amla (Indian goose berry) powder with one egg. Apply it to your hair and leave for half an hour. Wash hair.

Hi , Does Fenugreek Seed do any harm When consumed during 3rd stage of pregnancy and does it Increases Internal Heat in the body .Please Help letting me know this .

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Scientists have not studied the effects of fenugreek in humans, due to the potential risks. However, neural tube defects such as anencephaly, the absence of part of the brain; spinal bifida, an abnormal opening in the spinal cord; or hydrocephaly have occurred in the fetuses of pregnant women taking this herb, according to a november 2013" plos one" article. Animal studies have shown a risk to the fetus in women taking fenugreek during pregnancy. The same study found that mice exposed to fenugreek during pregnancy had neurobehavioral and sensorimotor defects after birth, including short-term memory defects, altered movement and coordination difficulties.

Dear user. Vagina is a storehouse of many germs which could cause many diseases. You should understand that vagina cannot be cleaned completely. Therefore it is not advised to lick or suck vagina. Though you can always do that if you can ensure that it is perfectly clean and hygienic. Take care.

Hello. I am recommending you medicines, but you need to take this medicine regularly for 15days and make sure that you will be giving me feedback of the treatment positively after that. Homoeopathic medicines (Schwabe's) - Ignatia 30/ daily in the morning. Kali Phos. 6X/ one dose at night daily. And don't bother about others, people need some spicy topics to gossip all the time. It's your life, live it your way and let other people live their own life. They are just around you to discourage you and your confidence level! They are happy to see others sad. They wouldn't be there in need of time, so be with those people who boost up your confidecne, makes you happy and gives you positive vibes!!

Hi, My father age 60, today at 8 pm there will be MRI test. But my father bp is high, and he take medicine always. So, my question is MRI is safe for him? Also I took one medicine for (ghabrana), so that he become calm during MRI. So, MRi is safe for bp patient?

PhD, Human Energy Fields, Diploma in PIP, EFI, Aura scanning for Health evaluation; Energy field assessment, Fellowship Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiac Rehabilitation, MD (Ayur - Mind Body Med), Mind Body Medicine
Non-Invasive Conservative Cardiac Care Specialist, Pune
MRI is magnetic Resonance Imaging. It should not directly affect BP. Actually, it is fear that may make BP go up. So best is to calm down father. It is natural to feel frightened in the enclosed MRI machine. But this is a relatively safe investigation. Let your doctor decide if he should wait to calm down BP before scan.
