I am 20 years old and in this time my exam in our head bt I fell no better due to sleepiness and heads. I can't hole night due this. please give me solution.

Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Some primary headaches can be triggered by lifestyle factors, including: Alcohol, particularly red wine Certain foods, such as processed meats that contain nitrates Changes in sleep or lack of sleep Poor posture Skipped meals Stress Insufficient sleep or rest Overexertion Nutritional deficiencies A secondary headache is a symptom of a disease that can activate the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. Any number of conditions — varying greatly in severity — may cause secondary headaches. Get your blood pressure checked, make a chart. Let me know about the readings, will give you medication accordingly. Also, get eyes tested as headache over the eyebrows is related to your weak eyesight or weak eye muscles. Medication: Meantime, can start with homoeopathic medicine - Bakson's Mig-Aid tablet/ after every 2 hours. For sleepiness: You may be feeling sleepy due to tiredness and brain-fag which happens after over-exerting mentally. Take a balanced, nutritious and healthy food daily, take enough of sleep and rest throughout the day (6-9hrs. Of sleep at night and 1-2hours of rest during daytime), keep yourself well-hydrated by taking 10-12 glasses of plain water in a day, also take other fluids except beverages, take snacks after every 2 hourly, avoid eating oily, fatty, fried food as it causes more sleepiness, increase your intake of light, non-spicy food and fruits, salads. Take homoeopathic medicine - Acid Phosphoricum 30/ 3 times a day daily till the time exams are there.

Glycemic Index in Diabetes - Things You Need to Know About It!

MD - Medicine, MBBS

Glycemic Index in Diabetes - Things You Need to Know About It!

When you are suffering from Diabetes, your first concern would be is to keep your sugar level in check. For this, you need to measure your dietary needs and keep your sugar level in control. Carbohydrates are the main source of sugar in your body. While making your diet chart, make sure that you do include carbohydrates, but only those which would not tamper with your sugar levels randomly. There are certain foods which would shoot up your sugar level to an undesired amount. This would in turn cause various other health problems. The question that arises here is, how would you distinguish between good carbohydrates and bad carbohydrates for your body? Well, the easiest way to differentiate is the use of Glycemic Index (GI).

What is Glycemic Index (GI)?
Glycemic index is a measurement of how soon the body changes carbohydrate foods into glucose. It is usually mentioned in the nutritional information segment behind every packaged food. This would help you to understand whether it can be consumed by you or not, keeping in mind your stage of diabetes and other dietary restrictions that your medical practitioner might have asked you to follow. The lower the number is, say fifty and lower, then it is usually safe for consumption as it takes a long time to convert to glucose. But, if the food has a higher number, say, seventy and above, then it becomes difficult for you consume it as it can harm your body. A Glycemic index is important information that you need to check before buying your food in case you suffer from diabetes.

The index can change from individual to individual:
This is an interesting yet unnerving fact that the index may change from person to person. The statistics mentioned on the packaging is just a starting point. Depending on how the food item is later cooked and what ingredients go into it, the Glycemic index may go down or go up. Some of the important factors for the changing index are the time the food is eaten, the way it is prepared as well as other foods that are consumed along with it. Foods break down into chemical compounds within our body. So, it is nothing but a chemical reaction which might increase or decrease depending upon the other variables.

Thus, these are some essential facts that you need to know about the Glycemic index. It is important to check GI, even at a base level, before purchasing your food; so that later on it does not create an imbalance in your diet schedule.

Maintain hygiene. Use loose cotton undergarment. Avoid using any lotion without consulting doctors as lotions may cause further problem. Make the area clean after passing urine. It's better to get it checked by doctor and get cured.

Cheerios 100g whole milk, average 200g orange juice, fresh 100g bananas 50g frosties 100g brown bread, 75g lucozade sport 200g 1 bowl of cereal with a glass of orange juice and a large banana, 2 slices of wholemeal bread 100g of alpen with 200ml of semi-skimmed milk and a banana 2 eggs poached w/toast and a kiwi fruit brown bread, 150g bran flakes 150g and a apple snack packet of mixed nuts and dried fruit protein shake cashew nuts cashew nuts protein bar packet of mixed nuts and dried fruit protein bar lunch mussels, boiled mixed vegetables, new potatoes, grilled chicken and salad sandwich wholegrain bread, salad cream, skinless chicken breast tortilla wraps with mayonnaise and grilled chicken wholegrain bread mayonnaise, tuna steak in brine croissants, fruit 3 spring onions, 5 cherry tomatoes and 1 green pepper. Read more. Conclusion foods such as bread and pasta are heavily involved with the diet plan due to the fact they have a high source of carbohydrates in them. Foods which are to be avoided diet are sweets and chocolate as they don't have any advantages. I have chosen to have a lot of protein based foods on tuesday and saturday because these are main training day therefore a high amount of protein is needed to help increase muscle size. Week 2 this diet is a lot more protein based then the first week this is because a competition is coming up meaning more carbohydrates and protein will be needed for training, by adding protein shakes and bars makes it easy and effective to boost protein levels. Also i've included a portion of meat each day to help maintain the protein needs. I have included more variety in week 2 as week one was a lot of the same types of food.

Perhaps you've thought about getting a hearing aid, but you're worried about how it will look or whether it will really help. It may help ease your concerns to know more about:
- The hearing aid options available to you
- What to look for when buying a hearing aid
- How to get used to it
- Hearing aids can't restore normal hearing. They can improve your hearing by amplifying soft sounds, helping you hear sounds that you've had trouble hearing.

How hearing aids work

Hearing aids use the same basic parts to carry sounds from the environment into your ear and make them louder. Most hearing aids are digital, and all are powered with a hearing aid battery.

Small microphones collect sounds from the environment. A computer chip with an amplifier converts the incoming sound into digital code. It analyzes and adjusts the sound based on your hearing loss, listening needs and the level of the sounds around you. The amplified signals are then converted back into sound waves and delivered to your ears through speakers.

Hearing aid styles

Hearing aids vary a great deal in price, size, special features and the way they're placed in your ear.

The following are common hearing aid styles, beginning with the smallest, least visible in the ear. Hearing aid designers keep making smaller hearing aids to meet the demand for a hearing aid that is not very noticeable. But the smaller aids may not have the power to give you the improved hearing you may expect.

Completely in the canal (CIC) or mini CIC

A completely-in-the-canal hearing aid is molded to fit inside your ear canal. It improves mild to moderate hearing loss in adults.

A completely-in-the-canal hearing aid:
- Is the smallest and least visible type
- Is less likely to pick up wind noise
- Uses very small batteries, which have shorter life and can be difficult to handle
- Doesn't contain extra features, such as volume control or a directional microphone
- Is susceptible to earwax clogging the speaker

In the canal

An in-the-canal (itc) hearing aid is custom molded and fits partly in the ear canal. This style can improve mild to moderate hearing loss in adults.

An in-the-canal hearing aid:
- Is less visible in the ear than larger styles
- Includes features that won't fit on completely-in-the-canal aids, but may be difficult to adjust due to its small size
- Is susceptible to earwax clogging the speaker

In the ear
An in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid is custom-made in two styles — one that fills most of the bowl-shaped area of your outer ear (full shell) and one that fills only the lower part (half shell). Both are helpful for people with mild to severe hearing loss.

An in-the-ear hearing aid:
- Includes features that don't fit on smaller style hearing aids, such as a volume control
- May be easier to handle
- Uses a larger battery for longer battery life
- Is susceptible to earwax clogging the speaker
- May pick up more wind noise than smaller devices
- Is more visible in the ear than smaller devices

Behind the ear
A behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid hooks over the top of your ear and rests behind the ear. A tube connects the hearing aid to a custom earpiece called an earmold that fits in your ear canal. This type is appropriate for people of all ages and those with almost any type of hearing loss.

A behind-the-ear hearing aid:
- Traditionally has been the largest type of hearing aid, though some newer mini designs are streamlined and barely visible
- Is capable of more amplification than are other styles
- May pick up more wind noise than other styles

Receiver in canal or receiver in the ear
The receiver-in-canal (RIC) and receiver-in-the-ear (RITE) styles are similar to a behind-the-ear hearing aid with the speaker or receiver in the canal or in the ear. A tiny wire, rather than tubing, connects the pieces.

A receiver-in-canal hearing aid:
- Has a less visible behind-the-ear portion
- Is susceptible to earwax clogging the speaker

Open fit
An open-fit hearing aid is a variation of the behind-the-ear hearing aid with a thin tube. This style keeps the ear canal very open, allowing for low-frequency sounds to enter the ear naturally and for high-frequency sounds to be amplified through the hearing aid. This makes the style a good choice for people with mild to moderate hearing loss.

An open-fit hearing aid:
- Is less visible
- Doesn't plug the ear like the small in-the-canal hearing aids do, making your own voice sound better to you
- May be more difficult to handle and adjust due to small parts.
