Symptoms very vague. For the time being drink warm water with honey in it. Avoid rice, oily and spicy food. For good medicine, history needs to be taken.

I have problem breathing. My nose always remain congested. An X ray revealed a bit of deviated nasal septum. I was suggested to go for inferior turbinate electro cautery. I want to know if it is a safe procedure and what is the success rate of this procedure.

MBBS
General Physician, Cuttack
1. If you have deviated nasal septum it has to be treated by surgery (septoplasty) 3. Inferior turbinate electro cautery is for hypertrophied turbinate, not for deviated nasal septum 3. It is a safe procedure. 3. Consult a good ent surgeon for advice and treatment.

I am difficult to take breathing in night time please help me, breath taking by mouth is not good enough for me.

MBBS, MD, DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Indore
You may be suffering from allergic rhinitis or DNS or nasal polyp which is leading to breath through mouth. So for proper diagnosis you need to visit to a doctor, so the accurate differentiation is made. After recording your whole case taking, the best possible medication will be started as soon as possible. Till then take steam inhalation, keep yourself warm, take plenty of water.
