I have many blackheads in my face, how to remove it. I tried many face wash and facial kits but it's still in my face. Can you please give me good facial kits name? Thanks.

MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Pathanamthitta
Avoid cosmetics and over the counter face products. Overwashing won't remove blackheads. You need to use cold water and wash face with a salicylic acid containing wash twice a day and not more. It vil help reduce the oiliness to a large degree. U can also use a natural face pack of orange, honey and curd for fifteen minutes once a week and wash it off. This vil decrease the oil, whiten and moisturise ur skin.

My skin some time look fairer and sometime little bit blackish how to maintain it fairer.

MBBS, MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy

For a good and glowing skin, take a proper sleep, plenty of water. Do not step out in the sun, without wearing a sunscreen. Nutritious diet rich in antioxidants (green vegetables and fresh fruits) and avoidance of stress will help. Depigmenting cream or facewash can be recommended to you for improving your condition depending upon your specific hyperpigmentation problem/ skin type.

Skin problems can be treated only after seeing the patient .Cause is also very important. Certain skin problems may be due to occupation .or could be due to allergy.

I don't look as fair as before. The skin becomes oily and sweaty. Acne comes and goes repeatedly. I didn't have any skin problems until last 3 years. I have tried organic treatments like turmeric face packs, orange peel extract, banana peel rubbing, milk, etc. But no effect or less effect. Please suggest a proper way to tackle the situation.

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy
Dermatologist, Dehradun
Dear lybrate-user, as you are in your teens it is normal to have acne. Some have more some have less do first of all don't be stressed with these. You require to consult a dermatologist for specialist opinion. And as I can see you weigh 73 kg, that is too much for your age and height, kindly try and reduce the same. It will help you. Do not burst your pimples as they will leave scars and bad marks behind.

6 Ways You Can Treat Open Pores Problem

M. Ch. (Plastic Surgery), MS - General Surgery, MBBS
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Delhi
6 Ways You Can Treat Open Pores Problem

The enlarged oil gland openings on your skin are called open pores. They are concentrated primarily on the T-zone (the forehead, nose and chin) and cheeks. Open Pores is a common problem for people who have oily  skin. There is no instant fix for open pores. Luckily, you can control them with enough patience and the right remedies.

Here are some remedies you can use to treat open pores:

  1. Ice: Ice shrinks enlarged pores by tightening the skin. You can also use it to minimize large pores before you apply makeup. Ice also boosts the skin’s heath and stimulates circulation. You can use it on its own (by wrapping a clean washcloth around it) or use an infusion of rose water, green tea, apple juice or cucumber juice.
  2. Apple cider vinegar: Apple cider vinegar can be used as a skin toner and natural astringent. It tightens skin, reduces enlarged pores and restores the skin’s natural chemical balance. It is also anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial in nature, which prevent acne breakouts. Dilute apple cider vinegar in water before applying it to your face with a cotton ball.
  3. Egg whites: Egg whites shrink large pores by toning and tightening the skin. Make a mask with egg whites and lemon juice to reduce pores and oil on your face.
  4. Sugar scrub: Sugar scrub is a great exfoliator that not only reduces large pores, but also removes extra impurities and oil. Simply mix lemon juice, sugar and olive oil together and gently massage it on your skin.
  5. Baking soda: Baking soda has exfoliating properties, and it effectively removes dirt, debris and oil from the skin. Due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, it can also be used to reduce pimples and acne. Apply a mixture of lukewarm water and baking soda to your face, gently massage it and then rinse with cold water.
  6. Fuller’s earth/Multani Mitti: Multani mitti is a miraculous natural remedy that has many useful properties. It reduces open pores, absorbs extra oil and exfoliates the skin. Additionally, it also reduces blemishes and scars and benefits skin that is damaged by sun. You can make a paste of multani mitti with water or rose water and apply it to your face. Keep it on your face for 15-20 minutes and then remove it with cold water.

If you wish to discuss about any specific skin problem, you can consult a specilized dermatologist and ask a free question.

Body pigmentation is very easy to treat. While topical creams with alpha hydroxyl acids or topical retinoids are important to start the process and prime the skin, treatments such as metabolic peels, diamond microdermabrasion and lasers like qharmony or renew are ideal for eradicating it entirely.

My skin is going very dark in sunlight in day how I get treat to my natural skin color?

MBBS, MD - MD- Skin & VD
Dermatologist, Ahmedabad
Hello, you need to continuously protect your skin from the sun. De tan your skin by applying yogurt on affected areas and rinse after drying. Repeat this for a week. Before going out in sun, use a good sunscreen and keep applying after every two hours. Wear sun glasses, scarf/cap, and keep your skin covered. Also wear shoes or socks for your feet whenever you go in sun.

I am 23 and my skin is over matured I was suffering from cystic acne is there any method so that I could get my young skin back.

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, MBBS
Dermatologist, Gurgaon
Yes. The over mature look is probably due to acne scarring. The ideal treatment would be fractional laser 4-6 sessions in all. Also start d acne plus gel to be applied on new pimples. Combination peels also help in restoring color and youthfulness.
