I would suggest you-bleaching of teeth. Dental bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, is a common procedure in general dentistry. According to the fda, whitening restores natural tooth color and bleaching whitens beyond the natural color. There are many methods available, such as brushing, bleaching strips, bleaching pen, bleaching gel, and laser bleaching. Teeth whitening has become the most requested procedure in cosmetic dentistry today.

We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser.Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

How to come out of bad breathe? Am suffering a lot.

CERTIFIED ORAL IMPLANTOLOGIST, NON-RESIDENT J.R. IN DEPTT. OF ORTHODONTICS, BDS
Dentist,
Bad breath has many causes. Usually it happens because of entrapment of food in tooth crevices. So we need to discuss your problem. And find the cause and then we can start your treatment. As a preventive measure you can start rinsing everytime after meal. And using a mouthwash and effective toothpaste.

My sister has yellow teeth, even after good dental hygiene. What might be the cause?

Dentist, Kolkata
My sister has yellow teeth, even after good dental hygiene. What might be the cause?
Teeth yellowing might be reflecting some problems with the enamel of teeth or it can be due to improper brushing. The former will need cosmetic intervention from any cosmetic dentist. The latter can be taken care of by professional cleaning.

Children are the stars of everyone’s eyes. Their dazzling smile brightens everyone’s day. These beautiful teeth not only enhance their smile but are required for chewing, speech and normal growth & development. From childhood itself these pearly whites need care and protection. On getting infected, treating these very teeth can be a daunting task. "Baby teeth" are as important to infants and children as prermanent teeth are to older children and adults. Children's teeth actually start to form before birth! The first primary (”baby” or “milk”) tooth can appear in an infant as young as 6 months

Why are Milk teeth important?
As milk teeth fall out, it is a common misconception that they do not matter.
The primary teeth have a number of important roles:
• Essential in the first step of digesting food: chewing, biting and grinding
• Allow good pronunciation and speech habits
• Encourage normal development of the jaw bones and muscles
• Ensure there is enough room for permanent teeth to erupt
• Help your child feel comfortable about the way he/she looks
• Guide the permanent teeth to erupt at the correct position in the dental arch since the permanent teeth grow under the milk teeth
• Also, your child's general health can be affected if diseased baby teeth aren't treated.

Remember, some milk molars are not replaced until age ten to fourteen, so they must last for years

What would happen if milk teeth are not taken care of?
Tooth decay and disease present in milk teeth can cause pain and discomfort and can easily pass on to permanent teeth as they erupt. Milk molars remain in the mouth until around 10 to 12 years of age with lots of opportunity to pass decay on to their new permanent neighbors. If it spreads to the root, an infection in a decayed milk tooth can damage the developing permanent tooth lying directly underneath. Consequently, the permanent tooth may erupt either in the wrong position or may not erupt at all i.e. it may remain embedded in the gums.

Why a Pediatric Dentist?
In the same way that paediatricians are trained to meet a child's medical needs, a paediatric dental specialist is uniquely qualified to protect your child's oral health. Paediatric dentists have an additional two to three years of training at university paediatric facilities in addition to four year of dental study. They know how to deal with the behavioural aspects of children, how to make them feel comfortable, and to make the experience pleasant. Also, they are trained and qualified to treat special needs patients. Paediatric dentists have a holistic approach of handling a child patient whereby the dental visit becomes a pleasant experience and not a nightmare. The very reason they are well versed with the psychology of the child which aids in execution of treatment effectively & efficiently simultaneously instilling a positive dental attitude in those little ones

I am 20 years old. I am feeling embarrassed with pyria. Can I get a solution for this?
It seems you might be having periodontal problem. C/as pyorrhea. You need to get rid of it. It needs aggressive therapy. You need to make a habit of rinsing your mouth everytime you eat something and brush regularly (once in the morning before meals and once at night after dinner, add a mouthwash for better oral hygiene. If the problem persist, you need to consult a dentist for more specific diagnosis and treatment would be tailored accordingly.

How can I get strong teeth. Suggest some longlasting fresher's toothpaste name.

U can use any toothpaste like colgate; pepsodent etc. But you should brush twice daily. One more very important tip is rinsing your mouth with water after eating or drinking anything is going to give you strong teeth.

Brush twice a day advice is for school kids.

With age, eating habits also change and so brushing twice a day is not enough.

Oral habits change with age. Flossing by the patient & cleaning by the dentist is essential after 15 years of age.

People with habits like smoking, tobacco chewing, Paan, Alcoholism, systemic diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, heart problems etc. Need special care & attention as gum problems can cause & aggravate heart conditions.
