I'm having dandruff on my eyelashes. How can I make my eyelashes clear from dandruff? Or will it gets cleared naturally?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Dandruff on your lashes could mean either blepharitis or seborrheic dermatitis.------------- 1. Blepharitis-------Blepharitis is a common condition that involves the drying, swelling, reddening and itching of the eyes. Other symptoms of having the eyes become flaky may also occur. It is usually caused by bacteria or by your eyelid glands becoming blocked causing this area to become inflamed. Although blepharitis is not a serious ailment, neither is it contagious, it is chronic and may recur if proper preventive measures are not done. Blepharitis is usually caused by bacteria. So it is always important to stress that removing any eye makeup before going to sleep is detrimental to the health of your eye area. Aside from bacteria, blepharitis may also be caused by the oil glands in your eyelash area. When these glands produce too much or too little oil, your eyes could either become dry and flaky or swell up and become inflamed.---------------------------- Below are symptoms that should confirm blepharitis.-------------- --The skins on the eyelids become flaky. --The eye area is itchy. --Redness of the eyelids. --The feeling of having something constantly stuck in your eye. --Your eyes are red. --Inflammation (swelling) of the eyelash area. --In more serious cases of blepharitis due to an infection, the eye area could also produce a yellow colored discharge.---------- When the dandruff or flakiness is a side effect of blepharitis the best Homoeopathic treatment would be ------ ARGENTUM-NITRICUM 30 (SBL) Drink2 dropsin 1 spoon fresh water 3 times daily------------- EUPHRASIA 30 (Dr Reckeweg) Drink 2 drops direct on tongue every 2-3 hrly---------------- CINERARIA /EUPHRASIA EYEDROPS (SBL) pour into eyes 1-2 drops 3 times daily--------------------- TOPI –AZADIRACHITA Cream on the roots of Eyelashes before sleep---- Until then, using a hot compress on the affected area helps with the discomfort.-------- 2. Seborrheic Dermatitis------Unlike blepharitis that is mainly caused by bacteria, a more external problem, seborrheic dermatitis is cause by more internal factors such as diet and dehydration. When your system is filled with unwanted food such as caffeine, junk food and alcohol, this makes your skin suffer. Another reason and cause for this can also be a lack of water intake. This makes the skin on your lashes produce flakes that sort of look like dandruff. Listed below are a couple of ways you can treat seborrheic dermatitis.----------------------- •Wash your face once or twice a day using soap that is made specially to fight yeast germs that strengthen the dandruff. Soaps that contain tea tree oil work like magic for these types of problems. If you feel that your dandruff is more severe, you can wash thrice a day.(Homoeopathic Soap BLOOME-204 (BIOFORCE))---------- •Try massaging your lash line with natural oils such as almond or castor oil. Apply this before going to bed and thoroughly wash it off in the morning. This helps with the flakiness and dryness of the lash line.-------------- •You can also try using a mixture of water and baby shampoo (the ones with the no tears formulation). Apply this formulation to your lash line to wash away any stubborn flakes.---------- •This tip is very important. Improve your diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Also, remember to drink loads of water, at least 8 to 10 glasses a day. Your Eye lashes will be perfectly normal -------------------- Usually in cases where there is dandruff and flakiness are present in the lash area, it is only seborrheic dermatitis but if any of the above-mentioned treatments does not work, then it is time to consider blepharitis.

I am 27 year old woman and I am having a problem of hair loss and dandruff problem because of this I am facing too much of hair loss.?

Hair fall is common in everyone and it is normal if 50-100 hair strands fall per day. But hair loss happens when frequent falling of hair results in thinning of the hair in the scalp. Losing hair fast may not only be a disease but it? s also due to heredity, aging or changes in the hormones. Causes of hair loss? hairstyles: everybody wants their hair to look good by trying different kinds of hairstyles that may look stylish, but there are some hairstyles that tend to pull the hair so tightly that they cause hair fall? scalp infection: itchy scalp may be caused due to some infections like severe dandruff and ringworm, a fungus that results in red, itchy patches in the scalp and leads to hair loss? poor diet: hair loss may also be due to poor diet that misses out on vital ingredients like proteins, iron, vitamins and minerals and other micronutrients? stress: stress is a body reaction that challenges and sometimes disturbs the individual? s health. Too much of stress to the body causes the hair to fall and stop growing, which will later result in hair loss? water: we must be aware of the regular water supply in our household. It might contain chemical compounds like magnesium, copper and minerals that can harm your hair and cause hair loss? cosmetics: products that are used for straightening or coloring of the hair contain chemical compounds that can affect the hair. Even some products like hair shampoo, conditioner or serum have chemical compounds in them. Extensive usage of these can damage the hair follicles and cause hair loss? medication: medication is another problem that causes hair loss. High medication intake may result in several side effects in the body that can affect the hair roots and lead to excessive hair fall. Home remedies henna: it is a natural hair colorant and hair conditioner. Make a mixture of henna powder, one egg and a cup of curd. Mix all these ingredients well, leave it for a night and apply the henna paste on the hair the next day. Leave it on for an hour and wash with warm water. Neem: tired of your dandruff and hair fall? try neem, a natural antiseptic and anti-bacterial agent, which helps in treating the scalp and hair problem without any side effect. Boil 2 cups of water and add a handful of neem leaves in the boiling water. Leave till the water turns into greenish color. Use the neem water after the last rinse of your hair wash. This will keep your hair and scalp healthy. Aloe vera: aloe vera is a plant that contains vitamins and minerals, which is used for treating hair loss. The gel that is secreted from the plant when it is cut, can be used as a hair conditioner. Massage the gel in the hair thoroughly after taking a head bath, leave it for few hours and wash it off with warm water. Onions: onion is another home remedy that can be used to prevent hair loss. Apply the onion juice in the scalp and leave it for an hour before washing your hair.

I have Diabetes. Fpg 250 ppg 400. I have been on homeopathy. How should I continue?

I have Diabetes. Fpg 250 ppg 400. I have been on homeopathy. How should I continue?
Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. In diabetes, homeopathy treatment does not help in controlling blood glucose. Continuing that treatment is a waste of time, money and effort. It is quite vible from your blood glucose levels. Fasting 250 mg & PP 400 mg levels are too high, suggesting totally uncontrolled diabetes. With this you are likely to get the long term complications of diabetes much earlier. Best is to start appropriate modern medicine drugs along with diet control and regular execise. So if you are interested, please come back with following details: Current fasting, Pp glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise being done, weight and height. It is better if you come in a private conversation (paid consultation) then I can give specific guidelines plus even prescriptions. In this communication we are supposed to give general guidelines and no drugs can be prescribed. Or else consult a good diabetologist locally, and start the treatment. Because achieving early control is a must. Thanks.
