Common Causes Of Stomach Problems

Stomach problems are one of the most common issues you face. Irrespective of what your age is, it is highly likely that you have an upset stomach once in while. A stomach upset has a distinguishable characteristic -  that stomach linings as well as the small and large intestines tend to swell. This is called inflammation. The following are the most common causes of an upset stomach.

1. Viruses
Viruses are the most common causes of an upset stomach. It is highly likely that your stomach upset is because of a virus since there are so many types of them.

2. Parasites or bacteria like Salmonella and Escherichia coli
This is also a very common cause of stomach upset. Salmonella infections are usually caused by eating raw eggs, meat and meat products whereas Escherichia coli infections come from raw vegetables as well as milk and dairy products.

3. Allergic reactions
These happen very specifically to people who have a reaction to a certain type of food.

4. Excess alcohol
Most people think that alcohol will only make you pass out or get liver cirrhosis. Many people do not know that alcohol can actually adversely affect your stomach as well.

5. Excess caffeine
Caffeine is also dangerous to your stomach as taking too much of it can cause a stomach upset.

6. Fatty foods
Fatty foods such as cheese, dark chocolates, whole eggs, fatty fish, etc. are dangerous because they are harder to digest than many other types of food. This means that eating even a small amount of fatty foods are enough to cause a stomach upset sometimes.

7. Eating too much
This is also a major cause of stomach upset simply because your stomach can only digest a certain amount of food.

You must also be able to distinguish when you have a stomach infection and when you have Chron's disease as it is basically a chronic stomach upset. Chron's disease causes the whole digestive tract to be inflamed.

I have a diet problem whenever I eat at lunch or dinner within an hour I go to toilet n also gastric problem it feels like my heart is going to attack now. please solve this problem with home remedies if possible.

Avoid spicy food, pickles etc. Take food on time. Do not fill your stomach. Do not over eat reduce quantity of dinner and also take it by at least 7 pm. Do not drink cool and carbonated drinks. If at all not reducing try herbal medicines.

Gastritis developed due to medicines could be one reason. There could be other causes unrelated to medicines. For drug induced gastritis, if unbearable and nonessential stopping that particular medicine is the treatment. Avoid taking spicy food which aggravates gastritis.

First of all pls don't take supplements as it only have side-effects. If you want to gain weight try out some natural tips like-be physically active, have proper diet, also have ghee and banana shake daily it will hlp you in gainning weight and if you r non vegetarian then have 2 eggs daily. Or weekly have chicken nd fish. These are some natural ways to gain weight pls try these instead of taking supplements. I assure you these tips will give you desriable weight you want. U have to improve your food habits. Do 1. Take 2/ 3 glass of warm water in the morning 2. Take more water in day 3. Take meals at fixed hrs 4. Take small amount of food at a time, take more frequent meals - may be five times a day. 5. No spicy/ fried/ fast/ junk/processed food. 6. No milk for few days, can take curd, no uncooked salad 7. Avoid constipation 8. Use nibu pani (lemon water) 2/ 3 times a day do for 7 days you will feel better for medicine contact on private chat.

Gastric /Digestion problem. Losing glow on face. Facing problem since last 4-5 years. Taking every test including city scan for all organs separately, ultrasound, endoscopy . Every thing is ok in these reports.

I rise from bed at 9 o' clock at every morning. I am suffering from stomach problem or digestion problem from last 2 years. Every morning I take breakfast at 9: 30 and I have to go to toilet immediately after breakfast though I have done it before taking breakfast. I have to go to toilet at night also after dinner. I eat cucumber after dinner. Have tablets and liver tonic but the problem is not solved. My evacuate is type of mix with fat or oil. Please suggest me what to do.

Modify your life style to reduce stress, reduce intake of coffee and tea, stop smoking and alcohol. Take Tab Pantocid regularly once a day for 15 days. If it still does not go away get an upper G I Endoscopy done. Weight can be reduced by a regular exercise (walking for an hour every day) and cutting down on sugar, carbohydrates, like cereals and potatoes and increase in salads and fruits.

Avoid outside spicy and fried food. Walk about 3-5 kms daily. There should be gap of 2hrs after dinner and sleep. Small and frequent meals is of help chew your food properly at time of lunch and dinner. Keep your blood sugar controlled. Raise your bed about 4" from headend side. Get your gastroendoscopy done. Tab nexpro-l 1 tab empty stomach. Consult doctor.

Take frequent small meals instead of 3 large meals. Do not keep stomach empty for long time. Try to maintain your eating timings. Avoid spicy and fatty food. Alcohol and tobacco in all forms should be avoided. Antibiotics and anti acidity medicines are to be taken for a period of 10 to 14 days. These are prescription medicines and will be required to be taken under guidance of a medical practitioner.

I would say you need to get your liver function tests done. If they are normal, you need to do daily exercise and get liver function test and usg every 6 monthly. You need to start taking precaution. Remember fatty liver can progress to cirrhosis and liver failure if not taken care. No medications available but regular exercise can surey help.
